Loved the grounds - plenty of room - situated on an old coffee plantation. Lots of walking trials. Good birding, including an owl. Very comfortable bed, however, the pull-out couch bed was horrible. The room was clean, the AC was cool, the people were all amazing, helpful, and friendly. The coffee was good and the one meal we had at the restaurant was good! Didn't swim in the pool, but it was large, looked clean, and felt like a reasonable temp. No hot tub. Great spot and definitely would stay there again if we are in that interior PR island area.

Pull-out couch bed was horrible. No other complaints!

The food was very good and very reasonably priced. The coffee was excellent after all it is a working coffee plantation. .The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Most importantly, the view and farm itself are incredibly beautiful

The kitchen was short staffed. We felt bad was because they worked so hard, did a great job but needed more help. Also we had to pay more for air-conditioned room.

This is a great place to stay if visiting the Maricao area, including the State Forest nearby. We were there primarily for the rare birding opportunities. I was able to find three new birds on the hotel site the first morning - before visiting the State Forest. It is a serene and semi-rustic but very comfortable place to stay. There is an operating coffee and banana farm on site along with animals (sheep, chickens and a pig).

Meals and coffee were available at the on-site restaurant. The coffee was superb, but the food was so-so. Restaurant staff were not particularly friendly. Could definitely have been more welcoming.

Great location, nice eco lodge type setting which is not very common in Puerto Rico, very helpful and friendly staff, nice deck outside back of room, and great trails right on the property for bird watching.

Minor inconveniences: a chair or two inside the room and a second bed in the Almud room rather than folding sofa would be nice, and breakfast was a bit limited for portion/prep time.

Beautiful property in a beautiful area. Great for birdwatching. Nice, comfortable room interiors. Great to walk around property and we were there at a quiet time so it felt very private.

Only issue was that the shower curtain was not long enough for the shower so water always splashed out and created a pool on the floor.

Everything was super clean, comfy rooms, and facilities. The pool was clean and they keep their animals under really good conditions. The employees were AMAZING, and the food in their restaurant really good and reasonable prices. The trails were nice.

For us this wasn't an issue at all, but keep in mind that they close the restaurant around 7pm and there's nothing close to buy food late. They have vending machines outside in the lobby area.

My husband and I absolutely loved staying at Hacienda Juanita. It was cool to see the coffee farm and goats on site, and to take the short walking trails to different waterfalls. The location was great for watching the sunset and stargazing too. We enjoyed the breakfast and coffee the next morning with a beautiful view and the staff were lovely. I was worried about the drive up, but the roads were in great condition and the directions were easy to navigate.

The property is a gem. Very quiet in the middle of the mountains. You can let go all of your stress and unwind from the normal world there. The rooms are super nice (even without AC). You can hear the nature during sleeping (animals) and be prepared to be waken up from some roosters in the morning. (We loved it).

Nothing not to like!

Hacienda Juanita is one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed. Scenic views from every angle. The rooms were beautiful. I chose an un-air conditioned unit and the temperature was just right. Staff was extremely helpful and patient with my slow Spanish. The food was well priced and decent. I would definitely like to spend a few more days in this location.

The directions on the hotel site were not correct. A local man explained that the road was dead end. Stick to 105/120 avoid 361. Either way watch for horses and drivers. The narrow roads are well worth the trip. My only negative about the room is the pillows. They were pretty flat.

We enjoyed our stay. My kids have fun walking through the trail with mangoes, plantain, coffee plants, and feeding the sheep.Overall, it is a good deal for the price per night.

The food was delicious, but the pool was dirty, and the bedroom fan was not enough.
