The Centre was not very busy and for the three nights we dined alone. Despite this the full menu was provided and the quality of the food was excellent. Our room was spacious with a nice view over the Straits. Comfy bed and spotless ensuite. At a very cold time of the year in Wales the heating was exceptional.

Bearing in mind the Centre had few guests our room the Centre only had a small number of guests, our room (which was excellent) was on the third floor of a wing. The lift only went to the second floor. In fairness we had not told the Centre when booking that lift access would have been desirable.

Room was simple and comfortable. It can be a bit easy to get lost as there are a lot of hallways and a distance to walk but we managed. Breakfast was lovely and the majority of the staff were absolutely lovely. We stayed for my graduation at Bangor university and it was absolutely perfect for that. The response time to questions on the app and accomodations made for late check in and late check out were fab.

Sadly on our check out day one of the receptionists was rather rude to my disabled mother as we had struggled getting her out by check out time. I also saw the same young lady being quite rude to other customers that were asking her for help.

Great location on University campus. Up high with great views of the Menai Straits and Anglesey. Generous parking facilities. Friendly, helpful reception and restaurant staff. Great breakfast (sausages were fantastic- best I've tasted anywhere in recent years 😋). Nice bar and restaurant facilities. Rooms were warm and water is hot - you don't always get that even in some of the best hotels. Felt like a very safe and secure place with access to town within walking distance.

Rooms quite functional but serve a purpose- it's a kind of conference/residential facility so they have all the facilities, but not "luxurious" so to speak. Took me a while to figure out where the bar was, as it was separate from the dining areas. Different levels of stairs in the building, a bit confusing but you get used to it after a bit. No major criticisms.

I had a really great stay here! The location is super convenient — just a quick 10-minute walk from the bus station and around 20 minutes from the train station, so getting around was really easy. My room was amazing, with a beautiful view of the lake. Plus, it was spotless and got cleaned every single day, which I really appreciated. The breakfast was really good too, with plenty of tasty options to choose from. What really made the stay even better was the staff — they were super friendly and always willing to help with anything I needed. All in all, it was a really comfortable and enjoyable stay, and I’d definitely recommend it!

Interesting historical buildings on uni campus, nice view onto the Menai Strait, good quiet location in walkable distance to the train station, bus stations, shops, restaurants and the pier. On prem bar with tables outside, with view.

Perhaps at lower end of four star expectations. Breakfast was more often than not a tad chaotic, with sometimes too few, sometimes slightly disorganised staff, on approx. half of our days there resulting in a degraded breakfast experience due to buffet not getting replenished, tables not ready, coffee/tea requiring repeat asks, broken toaster, ect.

The location of this historic building is within an easy downhill stroll into the city centre, Upper Bangor and the various university buildings. (Taxi service back from central Bangor was very reasonably priced) Beautiful views over the Menai Straits from the comfortable room. The breakfast was excellent as was the service by friendly staff who took the time to stop for a chat. Everywhere was clean and well cared for. Parking for disabled provides easy access to reception and beyond.

Navigating around the building can be tricky at times because of the layout and the only other slight niggle was the lack of USB ports in the room.

I loved everything about the hotel! The location was perfect as a base to explore Northern Wales. A great place to unwind after exploring castles the whole day. The staff was wonderful - Izi, Jack, Freya, Tom, Kanchan - and Donna, who even went out of her way to deliver the fresh towels, etc to our room! They all made us feel welcome. Lots of choices for breakfast, and very attentive staff. Bar was also very relaxing at the end of the day. The bedroom was also a really good-sized one - and the bathroom was spacious! Love the shower too! The closet space was more than enough. And there were actual nightstands - a lot of the chain hotels now just put a plank as a nightstand!

None.

The room and bed was excellent. The meal facilities, staff and quality of food was very good. The staff were very efficient in their work and were very friendly and helpful.

The usual parking facilities (out front and very near to reception) were temporarily suspended for 3 weeks from date of arrival due to entrance road resufacing work, which is badly needed with so many potholes. The alternative parking was around the back and a hassle to get to reception due to numerous steps from rear car park. Albeit Elevators were available ad working for mobility impaired people.

Breakfast was plentiful and staff very helpful, eg if we asked for poached eggs rather than the scrambled which were on offer. We only ate dinner once but it was tasty and enjoyable. The radiators in the room were efficient and quick to warm the room up after we’d turned them off overnight.

Our room was on the top floor and, despite having to climb the last few stairs beyond the reaches of the lift, the view made up for that BUT, being a very old building, the windows were not tiptop, ie perhaps a bit more attention to cleaning of the leading and the woodwork within the frames.

Good large centre with large reception space with impressive windows offering a great view Good size room (executive king) with its own great view. Everything and everywhere seemed to be clean Very good breakfast, quality ingredients that were maintained well at the self serve sration Very friendly and attentive staff

Bar had no beers on tap and closed at 10pm which seemed a little early Lift doesn't go to all floors which hinders accessibility Exterior didn't look the best For an executive room Toiletries could have been better than a multi purpose soap and shampoo in a dispenser on the wall
