Beautiful location and views. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Food & drink was excellent. Bathroom was excellent, but far bigger than it needed to be. Extra space in the bedroom would have been appreciated.
Bed wasn't the most comfortably, with creaky springs every time we moved. No bedside table on one side, and clothes hangers over the TV, so any long clothing would obscure the TV.

Location and views are stunning
Access from hotel car park (when the one on the foreshore is full) is down some steep steps so carrying bags can be difficult and dangerous, especially in the rain or the dark. It is recommended that information is supplied in the booking to explain that even if the foreshore park is full then drop off of bags and those with poor mobility is done at the hotel door.

Location is fabulous, rooms fitted out to a good standard, very comfortable and clean, good parking.
Staff - there did not seem to be anyone in charge and I was greeted by staff on both nights who were capable but not particularly friendly. The second night of my stay I wanted to eat in the restaurant at 5.30pm and was told by the staff member begrudgingly that I could have a table but they needed it back by 7pm, I felt as though I was an inconvenience to the obviously more important people at 7pm. I was a paying hotel guest. It was the lack of warmth from the staff as a solo traveller that would put me off going back. When I asked for the bill, the male member of staff said he was busy, not 'I'll be right with you in a minute'...customers from my point of view were a slight inconvenience.

The food was amazing, the staff were really helpful, the views did not account for such a good room rate like was in Glyn Garth: Where the wealthy have mansions on hills overlooking the strait and Snowdonia mountains, under £100 per night ave for a room. Just cannot make the value for money up. Would have given all a five star review if had travelled by car.
Location not as advertised without a car. The bus stop was a half hour walk along a gruelling fast paced road partially paved. Alternatively could follow Google Maps and go up a huge steep and narrow mountain road claims 26 minutes but in reality is about 40 minutes because of the exercise/fitness required. Would be better if this was made clear on the website.

If there was an 11 or 12 or any higher, I would for sure score it on all fronts! I booked 2 nights in a double sea view room, it was SO CLOSE to the water that you could almost touch it! The sound of sea and wind at night I'd just sheer sound therapy for all your senses! Room 4 is for sure the one you want!!!! The view from the room.... The mountains, Bangor and all the pretty bridges at night...magical! Room was very spacious and super clean, bathroom was very modern and clean. Nice touch to tea and coffee(multiple in containers) so you didn't have to restrict yourself on hot beverages as there was more than enough. Guys who work at the hotel are great! The restaurant is super cute, especially at night with all the candles and pretty lights and you can just admire the view on the morning. Food in the restaurant is awesome! Great full vegetarian breakfast and so many options to choose from in the evening. Locally sourced fish and sea food, scallops to die for!!! I do love the feel of the hotel- very quirky, sea themed. Full of art too, which was great! Overall 16/10 haha and I will be coming back in January as I have work there again !!!
Can get chilly at night Water and biscuits would be a nice touch in a room

For a start, the location is superb. Then, we were greeted by the chap on reception, who was most helpful and even asked to help with our luggage. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well presented. We had a lovely evening meal in the restaurant, and I've got to say, the meal we had was one of the nicest we've had on our 6 week trip so far. Overall, it was a great stay.
The only complaint was that the walls were quite thin, and our neighbours voice could be heard droning until late that night. It's a pity there isn't some soundproofing material that could fix this. If people were considerate, then this wouldn't be an issue, but that's just what happens sometimes.

The location of the property is beautifully situated on the Menai and has gorgeous views from your bedroom window. There are a lot of stairs involved especially if you have to park your car at the top of the hill. The rooms are well equipped only criticism was the wardrobe facilities were directly above a dresser so we were unable to hang my dress up plus the dresser had the TV on it and the tea making facilities so I don’t think this is really suitable for a wardrobe. Also the bath towel is exceptionally small 🥴 Breakfast was delicious,, staff were pleasant. All in all we definitely would stay again 😊
Just a few critiques as mentioned above.

What an incredible little place! Beautiful building, incredible location and wonderful staff. The food was exceptional, absolutely delicious. Great selection of drinks, lovely outdoor bar and bbq/tapas bar! What a fab little surprise to cone back on Saturday afternoon to some live music. Absolutely loved this whole place and everything it has to offer. Cannot wait to come back. Staff were accommodating, bit of confusion around some sarnies I requested to pre order for a packed lunch (again, I'm so sorry!), overall, just incredible .
The heating! It was so hot in our room, we managed to turn the radiator off but not the towel rail. I also didn't like the toilet paper, could of been a but softer ;) and the only other thing that was frustrating was no shelves in the beautiful bathroom to store anything, no shelves, no unit, no where for toiletries or toothbrushes to go. That's the only criticism 😊

All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, especially the lady in the morning. My partner suffers from intolerances and Absolutely nothing was to much trouble for her to help. So a massive thank you to her ( sorry i didn't get the name ) We were put in room 3 and the view was breath taking, the water AND the mountains behind. The room was very clean and tastefully Decorated.
A black out blind in the room would be great and seeing as it was our first time visiting it would have been nice to have been shown to our room instead of just directed to it . Apart from that ABSOLUTELY no other negatives I must say .

I wasn’t sure what to expect of the gazelle hotel as the price we paid was very reasonable in comparison to other hotels on the island. But wow, we were not disappointed, the location is absolutely stunning, the room was small but no complaints. The shower room was big, very modern and a great shower. The staff were all brilliant and very polite and attentive, food was excellent. We ate evening meal and full Welsh breakfast, good quality food and very delicious. I would highly recommend a stay at the gazelle. We will definitely return.
