Food in the brasserie could be a little more high quality or rosette. Blackberries with the duck very gritty seedy try passing it through a sieve. The club at cotten Mill doesn't warrant an upgrade of £120 per person. Breakfast could offer more variety such as crushed avocado & poached egg, pancakes

Room was very nice, and the food in the restaurant was great!

Spa available to us was very underwhelming - expecting lots based on the pictures and the social media presence. We also had a faulty light in our room. We’re spoken too in a very patronising way by staff, when questioning around the spa. Voiced these with an email to the hotel and have no response which is disappointing.

Sopwell House Hotel is an exceptional hotel with an even more exceptional personnel who would do anything to make your stay as best as can be. The friendliness but nonetheless professional attitude of each and every associate we came across with, made our stay even nicer. The level of cleanliness, comfort, facilities and food quality was second to none. We hope to be back quite soon.

The only thing that we didn't like was that there was no elevator to our Room 260. However, we did get immediate help with our luggage at arrival and departure

We stay here at least once a year - the staff are always, without exception, excellent. I would single out Adam in the bar and Sally in the spa for outstanding customer service. The rooms are big, clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything you could want, including lovely Elemis toiletries. This is a great place to stay for a chilled time.

The brasserie offers a fairly limited menu now compared to previous visits, we only dined there for 1 night instead of 2 because of this. Bizarrely there were more options on room service than in the brasserie.

Staff were lovely, spa was clean and lovely. The Chic Room was perfect, bed incredibly comfortable and clean, modernised. Breakfast was great.

The walk through area to the mezzanine staircase is a bit dark and needs definitely modernising and making more cosy in keeping with the rest of the property. Even if it is the banqueting, function area, the part guests walk through. I felt the restaurant omboo was overpriced for what it was, especially considering the portion sizes and compared to fine dining equivalent in london which is where we are used to eating.

I booked this room as a present for my daughter who had got married that day. Unfortunately after trying to contact reception by phone from the room, albeit very late, my son in law realised the phone was not working, got dressed, and went down to reception to tell them about the phone and asked if they could provide paracetamol for his wife. No interest was taken regarding the phone but the receptionist was friendly and explained that they couldn’t help with the pills. On contacting Sopwell House to inform them about room service not working I got a reply from the manager who asked no further questions and assumed that no issue had been reported and telling me we were giving her false information. Very disappointing

Lovely spa facilities, clean and comfortable room and excellent restaurants.

Gorgeous hotel! Had a great night sleep in the comfortable beds in room. Showers also good with Elemis products😍 TV with sky was a nice touch. Had a delicious meal in hotel restaurant Omboo, really enjoyed this, such tasty food and a chill sophisticated atmosphere, same can be said for the hotels bar where we enjoyed a great spicy marg! Was presently suprised with the value for money in Omboo. Had Spa access which was lush and sooo relaxing. Can enjoy drinks by the pool in the spa😍 Staff and even the other guests were so friendly and pleasure to speak with. Already planning another visit. Would recommend.

hotel lay out is a little tricky to navigate, very easy to get lost and also found this with access to the spa. However friendly staff helped us find the way. The lift I used to get to my room on level 1, would aggressively jolt/jump at the end of each use before doors open, little bit scary and should be looked into. Would have really appreciated fridge in the room

Fantastic time however this may have been contributed by family wedding rather than the hotel itself, ultimately expected alot to reflect the price but again couldn't really take advantage of the facilities due to the family wedding. Probably would have been an excellent hotel if going purely for relaxation.

Room was a little dated and unfortunately we were next to the lift which is very noisy. Our daughters room seemed alot nicer but again couldn't agree with the extra cost she'd paid for it
