Very warm welcoming, tea and cake offered on arrival, very clean room and comfortable bed. The power shower was also a great feature. Every member of staff were welcoming and friendly, no matter what time of day. Breakfast is also worth a mention, being able to choose smoked salmon bagels, or full english, fruit platter, good choice and mixture of breakfast items, which were all very tasty! The location itself I felt was perfect, 5 mins away from the train station, 2 seconds from a busy street with lovely pubs and local shops, 20 min walk into the centre for a great day exploring the city walls, the river, cathedral etc. Also only a 5 min drive from chester zoo which we enjoyed very much. Local taxi drivers very friendly also, and also good value for money. Also, although mentioned in hotel guide, towels dont get changed for 3 night stay or less, we did in fact have our beds made and fresh towel.

I cant say there was much we didnt like. We would of liked the option of a bar but thats not on the hotel. Also the mushrooms at breakfast were extremely salty. Apart from that we had a great weekend away. And would recommend to friends and family.

The hotel was lovely, staff very attentive. Excellent food at breakfast and we had booked the afternoon tea that was delicious. Room and facilities brilliant.

Our room (number 2 downstairs) was cold and twice we asked for the heating to be switched on when we got back in the afternoon, to be told it only comes on at a certain time, around 6pm and when it did it wasn't that warm anyway. It was December and we'd walked about all day in the cold. This was the only fault. For the price I would have expected to be warm when in the room.

Not a bad word to say at all, responded so quickly to any messages and concerns. As I live about 200 miles away we were going to be late for our afternoon tea but the staff were so kind and delayed it until we arrived. Breakfast had so much choice and was delicious. The room was very clean and all the facilities were spot on, to the LED bathroom mirror, bath, very comfortable bed, working tv which is not always guaranteed at hotels but it had all the apps you could need and even got some complimentary chocolates!

Nothing! Was our best stay we have had in Chester!

Boutique Hotel was so lovely. Distance from City centre 20 minutes walking, Cheshire Oaks 10 minutes drive. Ample parking. Staff were friendly & attentive - bag carrying was offered. Rooms; luxurious look & spotless, beautiful white crisp cotton bedding, towels fluffy & white, sumptuous toiletries, coffee maker with biscuits & lots of assorted tea/coffees. Little touches like fresh milk in the fridge, fresh water in bottle, chocolates and bed turning option. Breakfast was huge & served by polite and attentive staff. A hidden gem… walk out of the hotel round the corner to find pubs, restaurants, shops, chip shop, pizza place, off license, spa next door. We will return!

Exceptional value for money. James made us feel so welcome upon arrival and was very happy to help guide us on local bars and restaurants ect. Genuinely helpful and kind staff. The breakfast was fresh, cooked to order and was second to none, made even more enjoyable by the friendly and enthusiastic staff serving us. We will most definitely be returning again. I would highly recommend staying here.

Car park was very full, we did get to park our car without a problem, but getting out was a bit harder. This was quite trivial though in the grand scheme of things, as the stay and service from staff was exceptional. Couldn’t fault our stay.

Was a lovely hidden gem close enough to explore Chester but peaceful enough to be away from the crowds. We had a superking room which was lovely and roomy and on the bottom floor. The owner and staff made us feel welcome and comfortable and we knew they were there to help if we needed it. The breakfast was really good with plenty of options to choose from.

There was some noise from the above room but that is to be expected with most hotels. The corner of the room where the mirror and dressing table is a bit dark so could do with some lighting for us girls to get ready.

What a lovely hotel. All the staff are so helpful and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast in the hotel is exceptional, the best hotel breakfast I have ever had. The rooms are immaculate and a great size, milk in the fridge on arrival and chilled water. Chocolates are placed on bed every evening (a lovely little touch). Hotel in a lovely quiet area with plenty of places to eat and drink just round the corner (Made in Italy and Shanghai are superb). Only a 15 /20 min walk into the centre of Chester. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel, and I look forward to returning in the future.

This boutique hotel is wonderful. The location is only a 10-15 minute walk into Chester city centre, and a short bus ride to Chester Zoo. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. All the amenities you needed were in the room. The choice of the included breakfast was phenomenal. However, more importantly, the staff/team that work there are phenomenal. They are very friendly and just can't do enough to help you make your stay special. I would give the team alone 10+. It was a specific birthday for my wife, and they helped me make it special. We will certainly go back when in that area.

The staff were super friendly and chatty upon us arriving which was nice, and throughout our stay as well. It has a small car park which meant it was good for us to come by car and park for free next to the hotel. The location is decent, just to the northeast of the city centre, so easy to get to and close to everything. The room was comfortable and spacious. The bed was large and nice, the TV was pretty big, the bathroom was modern and clean, the shower was powerful and warm. The breakfast was lovely. We had a good time!

It was only a one night stay and there weren't any particular issues for us. Everything went well so not much to say here!
