Perfect location, very close to markets and shops, on arrival, was able to check in early and found the room to be very clean and spacious. Loved the deck at the back with 2 cute palm trees, nice big modern TV, bathroom was very clean and tidy, same as the carpets, couch, and all bedding. Absolutely loved the mattress which wasn't too soft, so was perfect for my back. The kind owner/manager came to room to greet at checking time, was very pleasant and respectful. I will definitely be coming back.

We stayed in the superior studio which was light and airy. Had everything we needed and was lovely and modern.

Parking is limited, someone took our park which we thought was designated. Not to much of a big deal though. The bathroom is modern and spacious but they need to up the cleaning. Plug holes and suck we’re black and mouldy and there was hair in the drawers.

staff were friendly, room was a decent size, large bathroom and cooking facilities met our needs. perfect location, walked into town to cafes, pubs and restaurants. an easy 15 minute walk to buffalo beach. Supermarkets were a short car ride away. lovely and clean accommodation, we would easily stay here again.

Everything. The room was very spacious and super clean ( the surfaces in the kitchen and the bathroom were glowing ), the bed was very comfortable, and the TV in the living room had, apart from the NZ channels, also satellite channels. Finally, the location was only a short walk from the main high street of the town of Whitianga.

Great location! Only a wee walking distance to shops and beach (within 10 minutes unless you want Woolworth/Warehouse then drive 5 mins). Great space in rooms, clean and tidy. Gives a classic Kiwi motel vibe :) Friendly and helpful owner who is just a phone call away. Rooms were clean, cooking facilities were more than adequate. Parking right in front of our room.

Large clean family room. Beach towels and shovels provided for hot water beach! Proper stove, microwave etc.

Room was very hot. No Aircon but some fans were provided (although cables too short to be able to face them towards the bed). Didn't like the unexpected 3.5% extra fee for using a credit card to pay... I looked back and it's mentioned on Booking.com but as a tiny footnote, it wasn't at all obvious.

Location was great. Just a short walk to the main shopping area and marina. The room we received (6) was more spacious than expected. Entered into the main dining/living area which had dining table and chairs, sofa, coffee table, and a single bed under the tv. There were also two private bedrooms - one with a double bed, the other with two singles. Both had ample sized wardrobes, a desk area with mirror, suitcase racks and pedestal fans. Kitchen was well appointed with full size fridge and stove, and all cutlery and plates you could need. Bathroom had shower and basin, with toilet through a separate door. Fred was very friendly and helpful.

The rooms were all a little outdated but that wasn't a major issue for us.

The room was clean, excellent value, close to town and had all the extras like coffee and milk and Netflix.

The WiFi was quiet unreliable. It wasn't just a problem with being slow, sometimes connections would just drop. That made it hard for me to do some of my work and my kids to play online games.

I loved how Fred looked after me, my friend and my family as we stayed for one night. Me and my friend attended the Whitianga Marathon. Me and my friend had to eave early in the morning to get to the start line. My partner and kids stayed while we were running. When I saw my parnter after the Marathon she said that Fred was really nice and polite. He was really helpful and generous aswell. We got a cot for our baby boy who is 3 months old and I asked if we could come back for a shower after the Marathon and I said we won't be back until after normal check out time and Fred said he will sort something out for us which he did. We come back and had a shower, this really helped us as me and my friend handed out the trophies and prizes to the winners of the Whitianga Marathon Event at their prizegiving. We went feeling well rested and feeling fresh. We can't wait to visit again, definitely recommend this place. It's also such a good price.

We booked a family room which was upgraded to an apartment with 3 rooms,2 bathrooms and a drawing room with a kitchen.Beds were comfortable and bathrooms and kitchen had everything needed for a comfortable stay

We reached there quite late and spent 20-30 min in figuring out the reception area and then someone to talk to.But then everything was sorted out and so no complains
