Great location, lovely helpful team, room and in particular the beds and pillows were very comfy. Quality and cooking of the food was excellent.

There was nothing we didn't like but the food and drink pricing seems strange. For example if we had been paying for breakfast rather than it being included in our room rate we would have thought it expensive for what you get and there are better value for money options in the town. Equally lunch of a half a turkey Christmas club sandwich, a fish finger roll and a very small portion of chips, a glass of wine and a cider with the auto inclusion of service was £50+ and we felt at least £20 too much. Conversely the trio of meats Sunday Roast was superb and excellent value for money. Can't doubt the quality of produce or the ability of the chef but the pricing strategy seems confused.

We were really impressed by the mayflower. It’s a pub with rooms above. The tea/coffee was well stocked, lots of fluffy towels, a massive bathroom and they accommodated our toddler without forcing us to book a family room. The view over looked the Quay. Very clean, quite quiet for a pub (although we stayed mid week) and very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was also outstanding and included in the price. Free onsite parking. Big pub garden for kids to play in.

We had lunch at the pub too which wasn’t great. The menu quality seemed completely at odds with what we’d had for breakfast (which was amazing) but we might have ordered badly

Good location with a short walk into the town and right on the harbour perfect for a nice family break. The staff were very friendly and they accommodated our need for a coeliac diet excellently. (Coeliac is an autoimmune condition which means you can’t have gluten, wheat, rye, barley or oats or anything that has been cross contaminated with them) It makes travelling tricky at times but The Mayflower knew exactly what was required and advised they have GF fryers and use GF flour so our coeliac daughter could have fish and chips plus onion rings which is unheard of. Breakfast was a similar story, homemade GF granola, bread and cooked breakfast minus the sausage. Our family room was more like a little apartment, separated rooms and a good sized bathroom.

As a period property the windows are single glazed and leaked in places. It didn’t affect our stay but if you’re a light sleeper and it’s windy which it was it gets quite noisy.

Lovely place to stay, room was amazing for what we needed also included a good breakfast. Short stroll into Lymington town, with good shops. Highly recommend staying here, specifically if your getting the ferry the next day! All staff was very friendly and welcoming too!

Pull out bed's mattress could do with changing as seemed really thin.. And opening hours for a Sunday seemed strange. Food stopped at 6pm and last drink orders at 8:30pm. However we allowed a drink to be charged to the room after this... But apart from that everything was fab!

The Mayflower is in a wonderful location. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. We ate their on the first night of our stay and due to the popularity of the Mayflower we had to wait a while for our meal, but when it arrived it was excellent! We were given a large at the front of the hotel/pub and were not disturbed by people leaving when the pub closed. The room had everything you needed and more. Breakfast was very good and gave many options.

There were a few cobwebs in the room and some damp in the bathroom on the blind but it’s an old building so these things happen. We live in an old house so we were used to it.

The staff, including check in, breakfast and bar staff, were all friendly and welcoming. The cooked breakfast was pretty good with decent option. The continental options were small but perfectly fine for this price point. The croissants were actually fresh and decent, better than a lot of coffee shops! The room was comfortable. The pub in November wasn't too busy, which suited us because it felt more homely rather than hectic.

Due to the age of the building, ventilation isn't great, which means that there was a lot of condensation on the windows and some mould on the bathroom ceiling. A stronger extractor fan and modern windows might help. The room was otherwise clean.

Room was exceptionally clean and tidy. Very spacious with beautiful views. Staff were friendly and polite. Bed was comfortable and made up every morning. Tea and coffee were provided. Toiletries also provided in the en-suite. Shower was easy to use and provided plenty of hot water. Breakfast was hot and freshly cooked. Would definitely return sometime in the future.

Meal prices were a little expensive due to the portion sizes. The food was very good and freshly cooked.

We received a very warm welcome, shown to our room, restaurant times etc explained. Nice view of the sea, tea/coffee available, fluffy white towels & lovely toiletries in the bathroom. All the staff were very friendly & helpful. Excellent breakfast, lots of choice. Excellent location for a stroll into Lymington. Plenty of parking.

Although our room was very clean, the walls were a bit knocked about & could do with a refresh paint wise. The bed wasn’t very comfortable, the mattress had springs poking through.

Excellent room, large and well laid out, clean and with a good sized bathroom. Stylish room decor, appropriate to the property. Bar and restaurant spacious, and good garden and garden terrace in a great location by the marina. Easy to find and easy to park. Dinner had limited menu but was tasty. Breakfast was substantial. Good selection of beers in the bar, though limited in spirits / liqueurs . Lots of local gin. Overall very comfortable.

If we stayed longer then a larger menu and more variety in drink available. Didnt have ingredients to mix a marguerita, not a big deal but wouldve been nice. Bar closed at 10, but many do these days.
