We stayed at the Woodstock Inn the weekend of the Chiefs vs. Broncos game, November 9–10, 2024. This was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast, so we weren’t sure what to expect. As soon as we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the Innkeeper, Sarah, who promptly showed us to our room. Wow—what a stunning space! I was so impressed that I immediately recorded a video and shared it with all my friends. Our room featured an electric fireplace and a cozy sitting area, which turned out to be the perfect spot to relax and watch college football that afternoon. While we were getting ready to head out for dinner that evening, a wonderful aroma drifted up from downstairs. When we returned later that night, we found freshly baked cookies and brownies waiting for us on the dining room table—such a thoughtful touch! Breakfast the next morning was delicious, and we enjoyed chatting with other couples and families who were also in town for the game. It was fun to swap tips about getting to the stadium and discuss everyone’s tailgating plans. Checkout was incredibly simple—we just handed Sarah our key and headed out. There was no waiting for her to finalize the bill or have us sign anything. It couldn’t have been more convenient. The Woodstock Inn is an absolute gem and the perfect getaway. If you’ve never stayed at a bed and breakfast, this is the place to start. You won’t be disappointed! – Sueann Meagher

The place was very cute. I appreciate all the little amenities they offered like breakfast and snacks every night. We felt very welcomed and comfortable while we were there. The other guests were able to tell us about things in the area to do, which was lovely, and the bed was so comfy!

Nothing! This may not be the place to stay if you want to keep to yourself as everyone eats breakfast together, but that is optional and only about half an hour daily, so don't let that deter you!

We loved this little bed and breakfast! We were immediately greeted upon entry by a kind young lady who was expecting us. We loved the homey feel of the place, along with the beautiful decorations and the themed rooms. It was nice that there were only a small number of guests, most of whom we met the following morning at breakfast. We absolutely would stay here again and try a new room!

The breakfast wasn't very good, nothing special, but the cook was very nice and friendly. There was a small refrigerator in the living room which held free sodas and water bottles. Free use of washer/dryer.

Washer and dryer were in the hall and I hated to use it next to somebody's room. Also towels were left hanging off the washer to dry - don't know why the cleaner didn't finish washing and put them away.

The staff were very accomodating. We arrived late in the evening and they were able to check us in with no fuss. We also had to leave before breakfast on the last day, and they provided us with a bagged breakfast to take on the train. The room was lovely and we liked the communal area too. The location was perfect for us, as we have family living nearby.

I stayed at the Woodstock Inn one night (in the Moroccan King room), as I was visiting the Truman museum the next day. The inn is charming, and Debbie is a most gracious host. I did not have a car, so I can't speak to driving distances, but I had no problem walking to the downtown area for dinner the night of my stay. You will not go hungry at breakfast, and Sheila's French toast was outstanding. Debbie offered to drop me off at the Truman museum, which was a wonderful surprise and much appreciated. It was a lovely stay.

First, the old building has amazing first floor spaces and niches and nooks and crannies. Decorated a bit over the top, but great character. Debbie, the host was a special plus and full of life and stories. Amazingly good breakfast served at a single table and was fun to meet others there. Close to Truman sites [we were just passing through]. Plenty of off-street parking. Beautiful neighborhood. We would stay again.

The room we had is small and lacked space to open a bag except on the bed. If you have luggage, may be a problem with smaller room.

This is such a beautiful, comfortable and well kept inn. The room we stayed in was perfect and there were also so many nice areas to sit and relax outside. The picture album in the room with information about m the inn’s history and photographs and notes from the owner’s travels in England was a nice touch, so interesting to read. We loved how friendly the employees and other guests were.

There’s nothing we disliked and we plan to visit again sometime!

Breakfast was awesome. Our room was clean and comfortable. Debbie was sweet to my kids, and brought them toys to play with.

The breakfast was very good. Although Debbie talked over everyone and kind of hovered. That was a little awkward. It would have been nice to be able talk to some of the other guests at the table. Also it was very hot on the day we checked in. Debbie told us she would be there at a certain time, and then was 45 minutes late. There were three couples waiting to check in.

Breakfasts were fine. Not a big breakfast person - usually yogurt and cereal. But no complaints. Varied every day and great staff! Staff was really the best part. Also liked sitting outside.

Well, rooms are small, but that's what you get in an older home. There was also a perfume smell in the main level that was, uh, noticeable.
