Whole experience of staying at Casa Scaligeri was great and lived up to the reviews! All of the staff were friendly and helpful, in particular Tanina who was brilliant in showing us the best places to visit/eat and best activities to do in the area, booking dinner reservations and excursions for us! Room was lovely and spotlessly clean and very quiet given central location, which is tremendous. Breakfast exceptional and lovely being able to eat outside in the square. Would definitely stay here again!

Minor point, but would have been useful to have a full length mirror in the room.

Our stay at Casa Scaligeri was absolutely magical. The location is perfect—right in the heart of the old city, with everything within walking distance. The hotel itself is beautiful and spotlessly clean. We stayed in what we believed to be the “smallest” room, but it was anything but small. The room was incredibly comfortable, with plenty of space for two people, two suitcases, and two large backpacks. We even had a few cupboards for extra storage. It was truly the perfect cozy retreat. One of the highlights of our stay was Tanina at reception. We were excited to come down every morning just to say “ciao” to her, which felt like a lovely tradition she shares with all the guests. We’ve been home for barely a day, and we really miss Tanina. She was incredibly helpful in pointing us toward authentic Italian experiences, helping us find the best places that truly reflect the local culture, rather than those tailored for tourists. One day, when we weren’t sure what to do, we asked her for advice, and she not only gave us great suggestions but also booked everything for us, making our stay that much more special. She even helped my boyfriend organize the most beautiful proposal, going above and beyond to make it an unforgettable moment. Her kindness and attention to detail truly made our trip extraordinary. The included breakfast was fantastic and so worth the price. It’s located just across the street, and Tanina or the other receptionist will walk you there in the morning and get you all set up, which was a lovely touch. While I’m excited to explore more of Italy, I already can’t wait to come back to Casa Scaligeri. It was an amazing experience from start to finish, and I highly recommend staying here if you get the chance.

Everything was perfect

Over the last 50 years, we have been fortunate to have traveled all over the world. While we have enjoyed great service at a number of different locations, Tanina, the host at Hotel Casa Scaligeri, is in a class of her own. From the time that we made our reservation until we arrived, she unfailingly timely responded to all of our questions or requests for assistance, steering us time and again with her local knowledge and connections. When we arrived, we saw how she “adopts” each guest as a member of her family, ensuring that they enjoy every aspect of their stay at the hotel and their time in the area. From literally walking us to restaurants (so that we did not get lost and the restaurant owner knew that they were to take good care of us), to proving guides for our day trips to nearby sights, there was nothing she did not oversee to perfection. Sirmione is a beautiful location, made even more so by the wonderful Tanina.

Hotel is in an excellent location if looking to be in the city center of Sirmione and near everything. Just note during high season, it will be very busy around but our room was very quiet even tho only one floor above street. Finding parking lot was easy as was the cart ride into the city to hotel...very convenient. The best part was the service from Tatina (I think that was her name) who took care of all dinner reservations and gave excellent recommendations. What is also nice about the property is as a guest you receive reserved lounge chairs at Jamaica beach which is a nice walk from hotel and a great spot for swimming. Honestly, it was the service that was 5 star worthy.

While the room we stayed in was nice and big, the shower room didn't have a door on it so as friends traveling together, we had to make sure while one took a shower, the other stayed in another part of the room so as to not see while showering. Toilet was private but wall between bedroom and toilet room there is frosted glass so turning on a light in middle of night could bother the other guest.

We had a wonderful time! A relatively small hotel in the old town, the facilities are stylish, modern, very clean and smell good. The staff are amazing, we felt personally taken care of and received tips on best gelato and restaurants. The breakfast in the nearby cafe was good and sufficient, with options to choose from. Despite the hotel being located in a super busy area, it was very quiet in the room. Amazing Jamaica beach is in a walking distance, and another smaller beach is very close by. Free sunbeds at Jamaica beach! Wish we could have stayed longer!

Mind that the area is super busy with people and might be a trouble to get to if you have a lot of big luggage. Our room did not have a proper wardrobe, but a clothes rail was ok for our short stay.

From the moment we arrived and were met by Danina we had the most amazing stay, she made us feel welcome, provided much information of what to do where to go booked a table at the Maria Callas restaurant, which was lovely.. We parked in the Grifo car park which the municipality provide so that cars do not drive inside the city wall, the hotel msgd us with a code to enter then we were taken by golf buggy with our luggage to our hotel, extremely efficient. Sirmione is small but there is much to see, the castle, the ruins at the end of the peninsula, the beach is small but lovely, waters are crystal clear. As a hotel resident you have private access to a beach with a small bar/cafe with seating. The hotel is spotlessly clean, breakfast is next door in their cafe, which was part of the package and was huge and delicious, very impressed, great friendly staff. Will definitely be returning, cannot recommend enough.

The location is excellent - in the center of the Historic village, steps from Lake Garda and in the middle of all the action! Breakfast was fantastic! A few steps away from the hotel in a separate building with a patio. Plenty of food and choices! Fast and friendly service. The room was modern and spacious with excellent bathroom amenities! Open the window and hear the noise and smell the scents of Italy - bustling, busy and authentic! Tannia at the reception desk is in charge, and on it! Multilingual, energetic, warm and friendly, she is a pro! Super helpful and always smiling! Bravissimo!

The location was excellent and puts you right in the town center. The staff was friendly and very helpful, delivering an iron upon request and suggesting activities around the area. Included breakfast from the restaurant just outside the door was excellent. We especially appreciated the pickup service from the desenzano train station - but plan to schedule ahead because it can easily take 25 minutes or more to drive there. Compared to other towns we stayed in z this hotel is very modern and updated with plenty of lighting, a real king bed and not just 2 smaller beds pushed together. The bed is a metal frame instead of a box all the way around so I wasn't stubbing my toes every time I stood next to the bed.

Like many hotels in Italy, there can be an unpleasant odor from bathroom pipes if the water is not run often enough. The shower is just a glass wall with a door sealed to the floor, but the door opens out and can easily create puddles. A full length mirror anywhere in the bedroom would be a welcome addition.

The staff is exceptional. They are friendly and very helpful. They helped with dinner reservations, walked us to breakfast to make sure we got a table, obtained tickets to the Therme for my family of 4 and even helped carry our bags to the car at the end of our stay. Rooms are spotless, modern and the beds are comfy. Free loungers at Jamaica Beach is also a huge plus. Amazing!

The glass shower let a lot of water run onto the bathroom floor so we had to dry it every time we showered. Minor but kind of annoying.

Recently stayed at this hotel, and it was absolutely amazing! The spacious, cozy room with modern design and a comfortable bed gave me a perfect night's sleep. The staff were incredibly polite and attentive, fulfilling every request promptly. I especially loved the delicious breakfast with a wide variety of dishes and the overall cozy atmosphere. The quiet surroundings and excellent service made this place ideal for relaxation. I will definitely come back again!
