The New Inn is a very cosy and comfortable pub. Situated in a tiny village surrounded by rolling countryside not far from M6, this Inn is a brilliant find. It's decorated in a contemporary style to a very high standard. The room was on the small side but perfect and breakfast was superb. The dog loved it too and received his own welcome pack. With direct access from the room to the garden it was a perfect for him. He enjoyed his muddy walk along the nearby ridge and snooze in the bar and restaurant later. The restaurant food was excellent. We only stayed a night to break a journey but hope to return for a walking mini break.

Great welcome, very freindly. Our suitcase taken to our room, what a room! spacious, clean comfortable, coffee machine good selection of goodies. lovely shower room with great quality of bathroom products provided. You will find a lot of local information about the area. Rambling, places to visit etc. Good beer in the bar. The breakfast is not just a breakfast, it's a piece of art. Just opened and cannot fault it. Will return.

Very cozy and welcoming, with real fires and a lovely atmosphere! Bedroom was extremely cozy with well stocked complimentary drinks/snack tray and both teapot and coffee machine. As we entered the bedroom there was low volume classical music playing from a DAB vintage style radio playing which was another nice touch. The bed linen was great quality and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was compact but clean and well presented. Complimentary toiletries were provided and appreciated. Lots of good quality towels provided.

There was a lack of storage available in the bathroom - only a very small corner shelf which wasn’t adequate really, nor was it very stable - items kept falling off it.

Loved it here. We needed a little break away - go birding, walking and be by the coast, which it is a perfect spot for. The room was cosy, comfortable and had many additional details (nice coffee, heated towels, soft lighting, nice extras in the bathroom). We stayed for dinner, food and drinks were fantastic, it was lovely to be by a warm fire and in such a cosy setting. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choices. We felt very well looked after. The owners have really thought about every detail. We feel like we've had a lovely luxurious stay away and will be back in the spring.

Brilliant location! Easy to get to and ample parking too. We were lucky our room was one with a private exit straight to the car park so we did not have to walk through the pub / restaurant to get in and out. The room was cosy with a nice bathroom and a small fridge too. The full English breakfast was excellent and I cannot recommend booking into the restaurant enough! The restaurant is very busy and popular so book in advance.

There was no hand soap in the room, when we asked for some, the body wash from the shower was moved to the sink. I emailed in advance to enquire about vegan breakfast options and was told that this would be no problem but there was no milk alternative available on the 1st day and the selection was a little odd. For example, I had a full english and my partner had beans and mushrooms on toast with spinach (uncooked). It felt a little like an afterthought.

The location is incredible. It is close to the National Trust beach at Arnside that is particularly good for watching sunsets. Many artists live in the area. The more adventurous people can go to the beach at 1.30am and watch the stars, free from light pollution. The Inn is not far from the M6 motorway, which makes is very convenient, and yet you feel as if you are in the countryside. It is a 30 minute drive to Lake Windermere to the north, and the Ingleton Waterfall trail is not far to the east. Lancaster is close to the south. The breakfast sets you up for the day and is nutritious and tasty. The hospitality is warm, and we look forward to returning.

Lovely old building, beautiful location off the beaten track. Large garden area with lots of parking. There’s a lovely little bar with real log burning fires. The bed was comfy we had a private door to outside. The best thing you get KitKat for your biscuits to go with your drinks. The breakfast is amazing, really good quality and the father daughter are very friendly. The shower was incredible and refreshing.

There wasn’t anything wrong with the property. The only issue I had were other guests waking me up shouting as someone had a family issue and got locked out. I’m a light sleeper and they were banging about. That caused me some issues. But no fault of the property.

Great atmosphere, and the lovely staff make this place. The room was well appointed with little details that make all the difference. We had our evening meal (book a table in advance) and it was delicious. It's a cosy place and it was good to see that it was popular and no wonder. On the particular evening we stayed there was a fabulous singer/guitarist which made the evening even more special. It's a little gem and was an ideal stop over off the M6 for us, but still nicely tucked away in the countryside. We would definitely book again.

Breakfast was generous and well prepared. You could go a long time before feeling hungry for lunch. This was served by friendly staff. Loved the efficient shower unit and soft fluffy towels. I would give the bed a 5 star rating. I liked the fact that there were facilities to make tea and coffee in the room.

It was a little cold in the room on the first day but the whole country was experiencing an unusually cold June. The other two nights were fine. I would’ve loved it if they did evening meals which I learned they’re going to start next month.

The New Inn was comfort cosy style downstairs, greeted by friendly and informative staff, showed to our room by lovely smiling face. Room was huge!! So much room, so clean and had everything we needed plus more. The bath was incredible. Breakfast was good - fresh orange juice and strong coffee - can’t go wrong. The best hotel stay I have ever had - completely faultless

Robes could have been provided in the suite (literally nothing else I could put here - scraping the barrel for a suggestion)
