My friend and I had an amazing stay at the Mertasari Bungalows. The grounds were beautiful and the room was very clean; with nice outdoor(ish) shower and toilet. Bed was comfortable. What really stood out to us was the exceptionally friendly hospitality we received. From providing scooter rental to arranging a lovely breakfast that was brought to our bungalow, everything was spot on! The ladies even helped me care for a small cut I received during my travels and even came to my room to treat it with aloe - THANK YOU!!

A mini fridge would have been a nice touch but definitely not necessary. We had an amazing time and this place was great value for money!

This accommodation was just great for us. Its short walking distance from very good restaurants and beach front. We have rented scooter from them and it made it even better. People working at Mertasari Bungalows are just great. I can at least mention Ayu as she has put real effort to try to help with any request we had. Our breakfast was amazing start of each day we spent there. I would like to mention cleaning standard of place was high. We have traveled around Nusa Penida and it made us realize that this place is great base point same as place to stay that offers lots of activities. Its about 10 minutes drive from port and located in quiet road. The location offers nice spots for snorkeling so no need to travel far at all. I can only recommend the Mertasari Bungalows as per its standards and its location and more...

I really can not find anything to write here. We were so satisfied with our stay.

It was very clean, every day. The staff make sure every part of the bungalow houses is cleaned every day. The garden is very well maintained. We had an absolute wonderful stay, from the moment we were welcomed to the taxi when we left. The staff provided good options to have a drink or dinner nearby, which was very easy to reach with the scooters we rented at their place. They can also provide taxi pickup from the port, which we highly recommend since the prices (also after bargaining) offered by the taxi drivers at the harbor are quite high.

The bungalows were absolutely fantastic - very clean and traditional. The pool was well-maintained. The staff were the highlight of our stay here - from the moment we arrived, they were extremely friendly and welcoming. They brought us a welcome drink and a platter of fresh fruit, which we immensely appreciated. They also helped us organise several day tours around the island, all of which were marvellous. Our driver, Henra, was extremely charming, funny, and spoke impeccable English. He was happy to answer any questions we had about the local culture and tradition. Both the staff at Mertasari Bungalows and our driver Henra went above and beyond to always make us feel comfortable. We were extremely sad to leave and would happily stayed here for the rest of our trip. Thank you so much guys. Highly recommended!!!

Absolutely beautiful and clean. The staff were so so so nice, welcoming and accommodating!! Some of the kindest people we’ve met! Very good value. 5 min walk to ocean/dive shops. Motorbike rental on site for good price. Great breakfast every morning!

The only negative thing I have to say is there was a very strong scent of moth balls in the room. Presumably to deter spiders/critters but man it was strong and not the most pleasant. After airing out the room for a bit, it got slightly better.

A good place to stay cloe to the freediving school in Nusa Penida. Close enough so that I did not need to rent a scooter, also enough dining options close by. Vert nice terrace in the bugalow to sit

A fridge in the room would be nice (but they let me use the common fridge at the reception. There is a very boring wall in the rom that could use a bit decoration.Rooms arenot the biggest

Lovely bungalows, the room is beautiful and loved the bed. The family who runs the place is sooo friendly! We loved our stay here! It's a bit further from the busy road so it's a quiet atmosphere, the pool is nice, the garden is beautiful and everything is very clean! They come and clean the room every day. We rented a scooter, booked a taxi, booked a tour through Mertasari and they helped us with everything. The location is great, not close to all hotspots on the island, but restaurants in walking distance, lots of beach bars on scooter distance and with a scooter everything is just a lovely ride away. I would definitely recommend this stay! (Also the roosters didn't bother us at all if you're worried and I'm a light sleeper!)

Very nice bungalows with swimming pool and flowers just next to the terrace. Tasty breakfast. There is kettle in the room, so you can make yourself tea or coffee. Stuff is very friendly and helpful. You can rent a motorbike for a reasonable price.

In the neighborhood there are few restaurants around and it's not easy to approach them on foot, because of traffic (no pavement), we couldn't find any with a fish dish, although it's by the sea. Gojek or Grab - they don't work on Nusa Penida, so be prepared for a very high prices for the taxi (3 km=100K).

The room was great value for money. The bed was comfortable and the aircon worked very well. Pool was very clean and refreshing. The staff were amazing!! So kind and accommodating and went out of their way to help us. Location was also great for proximity to lots of restaurants and dive companies. Super cute and friendly dog was a bonus!

A small room fridge would have been great to keep our water cool.

Very nice and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Spacious and clean swimming pool. Close to supermarkets, beach bars/restaurants and scooter rentals.

Although this holds true for the entire island and is not really something the owner can work on: a lot of noises during the night. Roosters, dogs, motorcycles. Bring earplugs.
