the front office staff was very professional and helpful.

kitchen and restaurant staff really need to pull their weight around, we had to wait for an hour for someone to take our order which eventually finally got our order taken and only to get an offish chicken which was very disappointing. it would be nice to get more customer experiences staff a waitress or waiters job to make sure that the customer experience is exceptional which includes taking orders or checking in with the customer regularly, staff there would disappear in the kitchen for hours, my partner ended up not wanting to order because of the amount of time that we had to wait.

Rooms are amazing - large beds, clean, crisp sheets, amazing views, clean bathroom with excellent water pressure in the shower large TV screens. The staff are fantastic - very helpful, proactive, friendly and make you feel welcome. The food is delicious and the view from the restaurant is beautiful and relaxing, it makes the eating experience even better. The natural swimming pool is wonderful - no chlorine, the birds drink from the pool, the frogs are in the surrounding ponds, it is a wonderful natural experience.

While the food is delicious, we felt that the restaurant is trying too hard to be haute cuisine or fine-dining and it comes across as stingy. South African hospitality is renowned for generosity and good food, but when you order a bush grill and you are given half a mielie (corn-on-the-cob) I get concerned. With the prices we were paying surely a whole mielie can be given? The portions in general are very small and the "carrots" and other vegetables detailed as part of the meal are baby sized. The "pumpkin" is a splash of orange instead of a healthy portion of pumpkin. The breakfasts were better, but there again, with an included breakfast (R200) wee were limited to what juice we can select. Just because a juice is sold for R85 doesnt mean it costs R85.

Hot tubs don't get too hot though Bathing amenities are so basic - non branded bathroom bulk tubes place can be incredibly cold it is really basic with a beautiful view

Rooms are spacious and well designed

Perhaps have a natural pool as well as a normal pool, many people weren't swimming due to the frogs and algae in the pool

The room was very comfortable and a nice size, very clean. Dinner and breakfast were OK. burgers were really good.

The dinner menu could do with more variety. Beds in the room were comfortable, but the pillows are far too soft. The floors in the unit were extremely slippery, this is not a floor that you should walk around on in socks, we had a few close calls slipping. The units are too close together if you are looking for peace and quiet, neighbors on one side were loud every evening spending time in their jacuzzi till late, neighbors on the other side during the first night had screaming kids.

Swimming pool is under maintenance, there’s no vending machine with snacks, toilet window had no blind therefore people could see through and two keys should be allocated per room in case one gets misplaced.

The service received in the two day stay was exceptional. From the reception, to the restaurant staff, guided walk staff, spa staff and of course the golf cart staff. Loved the location, very peaceful and quiet, just what we we were looking for. The food was great as well. The response time to requesting transport or towels, room service etc. was awesome. We will definitely visit again.

Only issue we had was there was no water in our room from the day we arrived. No water on Saturday morning. They had to allocate the maintenance team to come and fix the problem so we were allocated a room we had to go to take a shower and walk back to our room in the cold. The problem was fixed and the response time was good.

Perfect out-in-the-country getaway only 40 minutes outside of Joburg. The views are beautiful, the bush is serene, the staff seem genuinely happy judging by how every single one treated us, from the receptionists, the security guards, the restaurant, maintenance, housekeeping and grounds staff, very pleasant, indeed. The food and menu pricing were great!

I don't know how the water system works at the cabins, but every morning, I had to call reception to report that our cabin had no water. Fortunately, within minutes, the maintenance staff would come and resolve the problem, and water would be restored immediately. The quality of the bath robes could be better.

The staff went out of their way to make the stay special. Every expectation on my side was completely exceeded. It made us feel like queens and kings. The food and service was fantastic. The room was so clean and beautiful. The peace and serenity that surrounded the room was amazing.

We had a small hiccup with the booking of the game drive but the management and staff handled it very professional and made up for it more than expected. They sorted it out immediately and I could see they really cared about their level of service. Thank you to the management and staff for stepping up and sorting it out.

Everything! So beautiful! Staff went out of their way to make our stay memorable! Food in the restaurant is absolutely fantastic! We highly recommend the hotel!

Touching the door of our chalet was a ‘shocking’ experience every time - according to staff it is an issue with the first seven chalets. Not sure why it is not addressed as it is not pleasant to be shocked every time you touch the door handle. The construction work next to our chalet was also disturbing - we went for the peace and quiet and nature.
