Tina gave a lovely warm welcome each morning at breakfast time and made sure we were look after. She's great. Breakfast fresh and tasty. Room was very comfortable and spacious with a large bathroom.

Bowden has friendly staff and is a nice place to stay. However i think the dinner menu a little limited. Gloucester pork is a local delicacy and the hotel is missing a trick not offering this on the menu. Also during the four nights we stayed a huge tour bus was parked the whole time in front of the dining room impeded our view. There's a huge car park, why couldn't it be parked away from the house ? Such a shame as we wanted to enjoy the view of the country side at breakfast and dinner times.. As the hotel clearly advertises, they don't have a lift to access rooms bear this in mind when booking. Staff are very helpful assisting with luggage.

I stayed at this Hotel 40 years ago for nearly 3months, and vowed I would one day return, so for our 38th wedding anniversary I booked a room as a surprise for my wife, I was not disappointed, and nor was my Wife, we often go away for special occasions and at this Hotel Bowden Hall was every thing we had hoped for, beautiful location, quiet, and impressive building, and the staff, from the cleaner trying to hoover the entrance, the receptionists, restaurant staff, were all so friendly, efficient helpful and extremely polite. The food was excellent, both evening meal and a superb Breakfast. We WILL BE RETURNING.

Nothing, everything was as we hoped.

Once we entered the hotel main lobby, we were greeted by reception staff with warm welcome and smiling faces. I and my family booked 2 separate rooms which are located adjacently. The room size is quite reasonable. We were luckily to be allocated rooms with air conditioning. This is a bonus 'cos we visited in summer and the outside temperature was around 23-24 deg C. The bar and restaurant are nice and the food/drinks slightly exceeded our expectations, though the choice might be a bit limited.

The carpet of both rooms were not quite clean. The glass panel of the bath tub was not so effective that water could leak out onto the floor after I had shower.

We stayed for just one night but it was just perfect! Check in was easy and the staff were friendly. Our room was clean, tidy and comfy with some lovely extra touches for our honeymoon! We had dinner in one of the pods, every course was brought out to us to enjoy in the comfort of our private pod. We were so full we asked to have desert later in our room. It was brought right up no problem. We cannot fault the service we received and would recommend to anyone. A special shout out to one particular staff member, Keira who served us all evening. Thank you so much for making the first night of our honeymoon road trip a memorable one!

It’s difficult to say as we enjoyed ourselves so much! But because it was an old building it was a little creaky and the WiFi was a bit slow. We didn’t mind this one bit but just so you’re aware.

Hotel is in a lovely quiet setting we had a wonderful evening meal followed by a lovely breakfast the following morning

My Husband and I were given a room on the top floor as there was a wedding reception at hotel the room was pleasant however the bed was under the apex of the room which meant we couldn't sit in bed and watch telly comfortably as our heads were tilted down I would recommend the room has a turn around putting bed on flat wall which would allow sitting up in bed more comfortable also unfortunately I found the mattress uncomfortable so didn't get much sleep

Location perfect. Staff were helpful and friendly. Very picturesque. Everything you need in the room and plenty of sockets. Would recommend for a quiet night away. And only £20 for late check out until 6pm! Wish we had time to do the afternoon tea in the domes.... also loved the old v quirky decor!

Was some hairs in my bath but I asked them to go check the bath over and they did clean it up. Bit pricey for the drinks and breakfast if you don't book ahead for the morning meal it does go up in price!

My elderly Mother and I had had a failed reservation at Best Western.I booked from their to check in at Bowden Hall.My Mother is 86, when we arrived Solveiga the Head Receptionist and Kai were very busy but so very helpful.On the grounds of their excellent customer service and the restaurant manager, we will visit again.We dined there twice and spent a lit money and had guests for dinner, a very enjoyable weekend Please forward our gratitude to the staff. Despite having 300 guests partying and a wedding, we were treated like Kings. Thank you.

As my Mother is elderly we could have made use of a lift.

We had a tough first night at the hotel with a very noisy wedding taking their partying well into the early hours of the morning. We made the hotel aware and they were fabulous in terms of making things right. The staff were really attentive and we loved the atmosphere in the bar/lounge area. Breakfast was good and dinner was also very pleasant.

It was a very warm evening and the windows didn't open particularly fully (for safety reasons) making the rooms quite warm.

The staff were wonderful, and the hotel was clean, tidy, and had lovely communal spaces. Our room was well equipped, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The breakfast and the service was very good, and the view from the dining room, lovely. Parking was great and the hotel location, while in a beautiful country area, was within easy access to all major amenities. It was like a country holiday with all the benefits of a city.

The only issue with the hotel was that we were on the fourth floor, and there was no lift. While we are able to walk the stairs, my oarebts who visited us while we were staying found it difficult. Unsure if age and ability is considered by the hotel when issuing rooms.

Beautiful hotel and grounds, the staff were friendly and efficient. Stayed in a standard double which was huge, very clean and comfortable and quiet and not too bright in the mornings so I slept longer than usual. Lots of wardrobe space too. The bathroom was immaculate and the large white towels were lovely and fluffy. Booked a pod for the evening to eat at a really good price which added to the whole experience. Absolutely loved it and will be back :)
