Clean room and decent food. The location was great (very close to the beach and shops). Air-conditioning in rooms really nice for the cold winter we are experiencing now. Adequote parking available.

The breakfast team service level requires improvement. The team is slow with clearing tables, making coffee, placing cutlery such as spoons on the tables, and we're standing around joking more than focusing on service. The dining room was so dim for breakfast, and the breakfast counter layout was not great (food was not too bad, though). The bedroom needs a bigger tv with more channels, a minibar fridge, and bottled water. There is no gym in place. Welcome drinks were served to tour busses only and not solo travelers, which I thought was poor customer service.

We loved everything about our stay. I want to emphasize the friendliness and the loving nature of the receptionist. She is so professional, a true representative for The Kelway Hotel, and she is one of the main reasons we keep returning to stay at the Kelway. A true diamond you have as first contact to the customer, I hope The Kelway Hotel takes care of her as she takes care of us every time we stay there. Ps. We stayed at the Kelway 3 times in 2023 the festive season, and it was because of this wonderful lady at reception. I wish I got her name, we always chat so much, and I keep forgetting to look at her name tag. That's how much my wife and I love her :)

The staff are absolutely amazing. Absolute perfection From the moment you park your vehicle and get met by the smiling face of the groundsman, the warm welcome from the front desk ladies, who have everything on hand, the beautiful smile and friendly greeting from the lady who prepared our room to perfection, the restaurant staff who can’t do enough for you and served wonderful meals to the absolutely amazing bar staff, who are always smiling and anticipating your every wish. If you want to feel special then the Kelway is the best place to stay.

I really loved the Breakfast. It had tons of choice, and the staff went over and above the expectations to make the stay superb. The rooms were simple, small but very Clean and comfortable.

The room I stayed in had decor and finishings which felt a little old and outdated, but not horrible in any way. Also, rooms are extremely small compared to previous places I have stayed. This might be how they want it to feel, and maybe just not my taste. It still would not dissuade me to stay, since the staff were so excellent.

On my last stay there, the one before this for which I was not asked for a review somehow, I had booked and paid for a sea view room. When I checked in the lady at reception gave me an old room in the rear. The hotel was empty btw. When I showed her my reservation that showed a sea view room, she said I must take it up with booking.com because her system showed a standard room. I had to demand she call management. When a manager appeared she started talking to him in Xhosa. I told her she was rude, to address him in English in my presence. They acceded to my demand reluctantly

Friendly staff at reception and in the bar, happy to store my luggage, good wifi, nice terrace for a drink watching the sunset, comfortable room with small private terrace, easy walk down to the seafront with its promenade and beach.

The restaurant menu looked a bit basic compared to the offerings in the restaurants in the small shopping centre about 4 minutes walk down the hill, but restaurant seemed friendly enough.

Breakfast and snacks were great, and the room very comfortable, plenty hot water too! The terrace was really lovely, with a spectacular view and the pool was sparkling. All waitrons were very friendly and helpful, especially Lindile, he provided a speedy service when serving snacks and drinks on the terrace and in the bar area. We relaxed on the terrace on both days we stayed at the hotel, and the covered terrace area is ideal for alfresco dining, which is protected from the wind. My brother visited us whilst we stayed at the hotel and we enjoyed some cocktails and drinks in the bar. We also enjoyed our short walk to the beach area and tidal pool. Shops and other restaurants are also close-by. We definitely would recommend the hotel for a short stay in PE.

A ramp is required up to the rooms and hotel facilities - my elderly mother was with us and she struggled with the steep stairs. A TV in the rooms would also be useful for catching up on news and sports, however there are 2 TVs in the bar area which was helpful. Would not recommend hotel for elderly or disabled people.

The rooms were spacious and spotless, with great décor and crisp bed sheets. The breakfast was delicious, with a huge variety of options! The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble,the reception was welcoming.

A lady who was unfriendly when we arrived in the evening,I'm not sure about the name,but her facial expression was not welcoming at all,the guys gave us excellent service,in the morning we were served breakfast by friendly ladies & gentlemen.

I have stayed at many guest houses and hotels before. The Kelway's staff is super friendly and helpful. The location is central and close to the beach, take aways and not far from Boardwalk mall. Breakfast was a variety every day with fresh fruit on daily basis. The rooms were clean and quiet. Whatever we needed was provided by the staff and I want to than Ruan the manager and Daniell in restaurant for their special care and assistance. I will definitely stay there again.

Perhaps a small bar fridge can be provided for the rooms.Our aircon did not work propperly but the manager assisted us with this regard.

I like the friendly staff and well stationed location

The hotel has no value for money as far as the food is concerned. The breakfast was really below the hotel standard. Their dinner was really a junk food. I suggest they take a hint from aha gateway in durban or coastlands in umhlanga. The restaurant side is really bad please correct that otherwise besides that the staff was amazing
