Overall this is a great hotel and I would stay again, The room was spacious and cleaned daily, The location is Ok, just a short walk to the beach and many restaurants and bars, The staff were very helpful in organising moped hire and boat transfers at reasonable prices. The pool was nice to relax at and had plenty of loungers.

The pool bar wasn’t open that much and drinks prices on the menu board kept changing throughout the time it was open which put us off ordering any. There is a cannabis shop next door to the lower rooms block which had an overpowering smell drift into the rooms when people were smoking.

The Lamai Buri Resort is located very conveniently - it’s less than 5 mins walk from the main Lamai strip and less than 10 mins walk from the beach (all quicker still if you hop on your moped!). The sea-facing rooms on the third floor were beautiful. Overall, the hotel had a very tranquil vibe, the rooms were spacious and clean, the gym was well equipped and staff were friendly and helpful. The fridge in the room is handy for keeping water and another food/drinks you may want to bring in cold. Would happily stay here again!

The shower in our room didn’t get particularly hot, which was a shame but, also not something we asked about during our stay. Also would have appreciated a spare pillow, but again, didn’t ask for one so not the end of the world. There wasn’t actually anything that we didn’t like about the property.

I loved this area it got beautiful nature and the hotel feels so cozy with all the greenery surrounding it! Staff was amazing and so kind, pool very nice, gym was fresh but no AC. Beautiful room and the balcony had a view over the pool and greenery.

The only thing is that if you’re thinking about booking this hotel you need to rent a scooter to avoid getting cabs/grab everywhere since it’s more expensive on the islands. There is some life in Lamai but not as much as in chaweng. Still I prefer this stay because I didn’t want to have all that bar environment around me. And if you want to have closer to the beach you should book by the beach since it was about 11-15 min walk.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lamai Buri Hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful. It has a fabulous pool, pool bar and restaurant area beside the pool with delicious (and reasonably priced) food. The room we had was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. The staff were very helpful and even let us use the pool after we had checked out. They also held our bags when we went on a day trip. We could only stay for two nights and were disappointed we couldn't stay longer!

The location is the far side of Lamai, so a little far from the main area, but still only a ten minute walk. The checkout process also took quite a while. They check your room when you checkout to make sure there are no damages etc., but we were waiting nearly fifteen minutes to get our deposit back and ended up being late for a day trip we were doing on that day.

Spacious room with view to the ocean. It was also out of the busy areas but a short walk to every thing you’d need - restaurants, cafes, supermarket and the beach. As a solo traveller I felt safe at all times and the staff were super helpful.

The bed was hard and I had to ask for extra mattress toppers to make it softer. Also the wifi was consistent which made working hard so I worked most of the time for a cafe around the corner

The whole place was spotlessly clean, both rooms and grounds were immaculate. The rooms are fairly dated but this did not effect my stay. The place was quiet so had the pool to myself most of the time. Hotel bar and restaurant were not open since covid, though there are plenty of options within a short walk down the hill. Rooms facing the sea are the best option.

We have been going to this hotel for many years now. I believe it has new owners, but everything went smoothly as in previous years. We enjoy the lower ground rooms where you just walk straight out to the swimming pool. A short walk into Lamai restaurants and bars.

No swimming pool bar or breakfasts offered, but I believe this is due to still recovering from isolation during covid. We had a problem with the safe not working, but a workaround was sorted for us.

The property is really nice and such good value for money. Staff are kind and helpful. Pool area is beautiful and the pool guy really cares about his job. Keeping it super clean. Would stay again for sure.

The beds were very hard although they provided me with an extra comforter after I had said this. The pillows also illegal in 93-104 territories.

Amazing pool and just opened new gym. Gym was awesome, great equipments even oly lifting bar so you can do snatches, cleans etc. great squatting rack, plyo box etc.

You can’t bring your own drink into pool area, even water. The guy in pool area was rude. Standard room is quite old and noisy. You can hear outside part of AC as it’s vibrating through wall.

very nice and accomodating staff, great location (at the start of the main strip so quiet but close to everything, a little under 10mins to the beach, also 10 minutes to good restaurants and bars)

the pool was a little too warm, there was a power outage once for about 1 hour
