The location is serene. The staff is warm. The meal was delicious. I appreciated being in the main space bc I was with my son and it was cold. It was nice not to have to leave once we arrived.
There wasn’t sufficient window/door coverage to keep out light in mornings for a longer sleep. The bathroom could use updating but it fits the vibe of the space

It's a very quiet and peaceful place with beautiful spots onsite to explore and adventure, or discover and relax at. The staff was courteous and always willing to help to make sure our stay was comfortable. We had great health conscious food they provided in the mornings and enjoyed the inhouse made pizzas you can purchase for dinner! Very accommodating to requests and activities such as wanting to eat breakfast outside in the morning and providing a table cloth and a food tray for resort luxury feel out in the sticks of Sequoia National Forest! It was beautiful, and perfect for people looking to disconnect from electronics and spend intimate time reconnecting to the important things.
Keep in mind the place may be far, 40 minute drive or so from the closest town so you do want to plan your schedules. Still you have access to some amazing trails like the 100 giants trails and some inside the lodging property

The property was beautiful and rustic. It was quiet and peaceful. Right on the river which provided a nonstop nature sounds. Feels more like staying at a friends cabin than a hotel. The free breakfast was freshly made. Beautiful waterfall within walking distance. We drove about 20 minutes to the Trail of a Hundred Giants which we were happy the road was still open (it usually closes Nov 15). My wife and I were there at the end of November and the temps got down to 30s at night but we were comfortable with a provided heater.
The only negative for me was the mattress in our room was not as comfortable as most hotels, but I know it's a preference thing. I would say it was a little too firm.

The best hotel staff in the world. We got stuck with the car in the snow of the mountain pass at night and had to walk 20 miles downhill as we had no reception there. We arrived one day too late and they let us stay there without extra charge and helped us so much with towing the car etc. The accommodation is just beautiful in the mountains, perfect place to relax. Super relaxing massage chair, great breakfast, clean and large room, all perfect. Thank you very very much for this pleasant experience (literally the best place we could have stayed after a shi** night in the car and the long walk)
All perfect

We enjoyed the few days spent in this quiet house. Our room was spacious and close to 2-3 hiking spots. Adam, our host, was really kind, attentive and gave us good advices. Breakfast was delicious, especially the eggs recipe that we really liked. Jérémy and Céline

This place is a hidden gem! We loved that we could access the river and waterfalls from the property. The little details in the decor were beautiful. Love the library book selection and the games in the lobby. Beautiful complimentary breakfast served family style every morning, and complimentary guided meditation in the gazebo by request. There was a handwritten welcome card with some little welcome gifts upon arrival (thank you Cheyne!) and Johnathan was very helpful throughout. Overall the vibe is very peaceful and restorative. I really appreciate that there is no TV, phone, alarm clock, or any of the other buzzing blinking lights you’d find in a standard hotel room. Very tranquil and intentionally disconnected.
My only issue was that the two twin beds in our room that were intended for my two kids were up a steep ladder on a high loft, which was fine for my 12 year old, but not safe for my two year old. My husband ended up staying down in the main bed with the toddler while I went up into the loft with my older son and it worked out fine. I would say this location is kid friendly, but part of the magic of this place is the quiet serenity.

Breakfast was delicious and similar to what you find in many European lodgings. They offer a tasty, mostly homemade selection of items for both breakfast and on their dinner/room service menu, including a fantastic apple pie straight from the oven. The beds were very comfortable, and the staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly. We really enjoyed the relaxing environment and being surrounded by the beauty of nature. It's hard to beat seeing and hearing a waterfall just outside your room, and there are several gorgeous spots within a 10 minute hike from your room (see photos).
While we truly loved everything about our experience, some may be a little challenged by the remoteness of the location. Quiet Mind is 10+ miles up a winding country road from the nearest (small) town. It is in Sequoia National Forest, but during the winter the road to the north closes and access to Sequoia National Park requires a long drive. It's also worth noting that this is a remote, historic property, so things we found charming (like the old growth redwood ceilings and panelling) may seem "outdated" to other guests.

Wonderful location in the "middle of nowhere". No cell phone coverage, excellent for enjoying the nature. The creek was just some metres from the door of my room. All lamps had USB sockets. Very good shower. The bed was super comfortable with sheets that hugh you, like the shower gawn. It is such a quiet place. Staff is profesional and really cares for you. And you can really see the stars just walking around the property.
I'd have liked to have tea besides coffee in the room and also some real milk for the breakfast that, appart from that, was nice. Also, if you, like me, do not use the air conditioning, you may feel a bit cold in the early hours of the morning, but there was no blanket to add to the bed (solved with the comfy gawn)

It’s a lovely place in the middle of Sequoia National forest. It’s a great getaway if you want some peace and quiet away from everything. There’s a lovely river passing through the property. The nearest town is at least 30 min away. Because I went during winter time, part of the forest ahead was closed so to get to Sequoia National park it was a much longer driver. Just a heads up about that. Unfortunately I had to leave a day earlier due to a work emergency. They were very accommodating with my situation. I will definitely be back. They also had an amazing apple pie, and everything was very clean. The staff was very nice.

This place is truly an experience, and an exceptional one at that. The location is magical, and everyone who works there is so kind. It's incredible that such a calm and secluded place exists only a few hours away from such a big city as Los Angeles. It's a bit of a journey to reach the Lodge (there were a few times during the drive when I wondered if we were going the right way) but there's only one road so it isn't as though as you can take a wrong turn. Plus the drive itself is just *chef's kiss* -- it's such a great way to see the National Park. My advice is to have the directions loaded on your phone before entering the park and "trusting the process" as the saying goes. A very tasty breakfast is included (we love it when breakfast is included), but you'll have to order room service or leave the property for other meals. It's a bit of a drive to the nearest restaurant if nothing on the room service menu strikes your fancy, but the trade-off for the distance is the lodge's seclusion. You really do feel like you're in another world. I would write more, but I don't want to spoil all the lovely surprises (plus you can just go ahead and look up the location and amenities if you're really curious).
I personally enjoyed that the room didn't have a TV but other people might not. Then again, I don't see why anyone who absolutely NEEDS a TV would be checking out a place that's literally called "Quiet Mind." Take a break from all that excessive stimulation while you're out here!
