The name says it all! It was a quiet retreat away from the bustling Christmas crowds. The room opened into a quaint courtyard that allowed for reading under the trees. When you sit and eat your breakfast on the lovely open-air verandah, the view of the sea is spectacular. The owners, Kim and Sander, were so friendly and accommodating. Not far from Scottburgh main beach and all amenities. It is very safe for a female solo traveler. The room was very clean and modern. Lovely design.

Nothing! It was perfect

Bare feet retreat truly is something special. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left I did not feel like another customer (as most hotels feel) Instead I felt like I was at a friends home. Who welcomes you with open arms and makes sure that you’re as comfortable as possible during your stay. Apart from the familiar feeling of family Sander, Kim and the doggies give you. The room itself was so comfortable. Whenever I returned from my day out, entering my room was so calming and peaceful that falling asleep was as easier than falling asleep at home. Bare feet retreat truly is a retreat. Sander and Kim have created a perfect environment conducive to peace and serenity, and I Can’t wait to go back!!!

Sander and Kim were wonderful hosts. The property was very clean and comfortable. I really loved the rainfall type shower. Great beach style decor with a fridge and safe in the room. Lovely soft bedding. The "Peaceful room" lived up to it's name. I would highly reccomend this guest house.

The owners (Kim and Sanders) , are warm, helpful , kind and approachable. They really do go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable and great as possible. They had great recommendations about the area and things to do as well as provided great details as well. The breakfast prepared by Kim is incredibly delicious 😋 and is absolutely worth the money. Overall I had an absolutely wonderful and amazing time there and will definitely recommend the place to anyone looking to book there for a holiday or even work purposes. Great location and is easy to find. Thank you Kim and Sanders once again.

We loved the peace and tranquility of the property. Truly home away from home. Secure and safe. We slept with our room door open every night. Location just perfect away from the buzz with the most perfect view. Lovely comfortable beds just what is needed for a proper rest. Kim and Sander made us feel at home and like family! Thank you both for the most amazing stay. We can recommend this Guesthouse 10/10. Thank you Kim and Sander for the best stay.

The breakfast was good and the hosts very nice and friendly. Very helpful and I am greatful finding me a great dive shop and introducing me to them to get me started. If I wanted a affordable stay for a diving I made the right choice selecting Bare Feet Retreat

Sander and Kim went all out to please and accommodate food allergy. Also recommended and booked urgent physio appointment making sure we were well taken care of. They both go beyond their call of duty.

No aircon and ventilation.

Sander and Kim were very attentive and detail oriented hosts. They are also just great and kind people! Their home is very peaceful and beautiful. A 3 minute drive from Scuba Xcursion. I would have a light breakfast in the morning and a full breakfast when I returned from the dives. Sander also joined me on one of the dives!

If I could I would give a 20 out of 10 rating. This was the best stay I had on this platform ever. The location is perfect as we’re a short distance from 5 lovely beaches. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. For me personally Kim and Sander made the stay perfect. They’re friendly and makes the stay feel like home. They’re always around to have a lovely chat and to educate us on the surroundings and activities. Their property is something out of a magazine… absolutely loved it as on rainy days we could entertain ourselves at the beautiful pool area. Lastly the food!! Amazing!! I would highly recommend bare foot !! Thanks Sander and Kim!!

The room was beautiful and very clean. Swimming pool and common left a very good impression too. Absolutely outstanding was the couple that manages the place: very nice people that make sure the guest is comfortable and all needs are catered to. Special requests for breakfast and dinner can be made
