I loved the experience of staying in a former palace. My room was spacious. Staff were friendly and helpful. I loved the quality of the toiletries provided. The location was minutes from major attractions such as Piazza Del Popolo. There were bonuses such as croissants, biscotti and coffee on offer in a salon all day. There was a coffee machine in my room. Value for money was outstanding.

Although breakfast was, generally, excellent I did think the scrambled eggs were reheated and served again the next day.

From the first correspondence to checkout, this was exactly what you hope a hotel stay might be. It’s a beautiful property in the heart of Ascoli Piceno, with a friendly and accommodating staff. Rooms are comfortable and well-appointed and the breakfast buffet is bountiful.

Because it’s a sprawling ancient palazzo, you may to leave a trail of breadcrumbs to find your room. The shower would benefit from more pressure.

Totally central with personnel that care and take care of their customers. Sunday free tour of Ascoli for clients. Got me a restaurant place at a restaurant where officially no vacancies were available.

The WLAN is dodgy. And is in midst of the old town. Arriving at dark I would not have found it without the assistance of two local ladies.

A lovely palazzo. The building is the former home of a wealthy family. Staying there shows what such life was like and that's a special experience in itself. The room was large and decorated beautifully. The staff at the front desk were helpful and welcoming. The breakfast choices were truly delicious. Grazie tante!

I loved the wonderful, historic flare of the palace in the center of Ascoli! It was truly elegant, not pretentious. I would have stayed more if I hadn’t to leave. The staff is efficient and kind to a degree that is difficult to find. They even mailed me back a book that I forgot there. Grazie mille! I will be back!

Everything was amazing.

The hotel is in a very beautiful old building - we loved being there. The staff were exceptionally helpful in finding a dentist for my husband, who had severe toothache. We also enjoyed our breakfast there each morning. There was a wonderful range of food.

Conviienent location, close to main square and the free shuttle to train station. The room was impressively large and palaciial. Breakfast exceeded expectations, good selection and quality. Friendly and helpful staff.

Just minor, shower had issues with water flow and drainage.

Fantastic location in the centre of Ascoli off the Main square- Piazza del Popolo with lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Lovely spacious room and big bed. Fridge in room and tasty breakfast. The most helpful ladies at the front desk-Veronica in particular went out of her way to help me organise hair and mail appointments for a wedding I was attending.

The air conditioning unit was working but not particularly cold in room #27?! Also I mentioned that the shower hose was leaky but a new one never appeared?! Lucky I needed to go to he hairdresser anyway as the shower power would not be sufficient to rinse thick hair as it stands.

The location and antiquity of the hotel, but moreover, the staff, from sweet Sara at reception to the excellent baristas and staff.

I must have been sleeping too hard, but never heard a church bell, but odd since so many nearby!

The staff were very friendly and helpful, with excellent recommendations for nearby restaurants. Good breakfast. Very central location. Don’t try to park at the hotel, use the very convenient car park at Via Porta Torricelli just outside the centre of town.

Quibbles - The internet was quite patchy. The pillows were a little limp.
