This hotel was so cute. The staff was so helpful, although they were not good in English but they did their best to help us using google translate. The location of the hotel was great. The Artaakoy area is a nice place to stay in istanbul. This hotel had all supermarkets, shops, street food, etc. within 5 minutes walk.

Shower and balcony in the top floor suite were good. For me the location was good because l used to live in this area and so knew it well. It is off the busy main roads. Beds were comfortable. Hair dryer in bathroom 24 HR reception. Quiet room and quiet at night.

Very disappointing, as l lived in this area for 4 years, to be asked for 100 Euros more. Apparently the card machine was not working (other reviews have mentioned this) so we were asked to pay in cash. When we asked to pay by bank transfer the amount asked for was €400, rather than 300. We then paid €300 on cash the next day. Another main issue is that the information on booking.com is incorrect. There is no washing machine or tea and coffee making facilities in the room. There is a shared washing machine on the ground floor and a kettle in the room. We booked the room as there was a kitchen and we planned to cook, however there was zero kitchenware on arrival, not even a spoon, tea towel or dishcloth. We asked for some plates etc and were given 2 bowls, 2 forks and 2 spoons and a small vegetable knife and a very old saucepan. 2 glasses, a champagne glass and a proper wine glass and a corkscrew. Communication to get items was done via Google translate. We were given washing up liquid and a dish wiper, but it was still difficult to cut veg etc. I asked for a chopping board, so that the surfaces were not damaged but was told that this was not on the description on booking.com. We gave up asking for what we needed. In both bedroom and main room there are blue ceiling lights which can be changed to normal in the bedroom, but a bit disturbing on main room. No bed linen provided for sofa bed in lounge. Marble stairs down to reception could be dangerous for older folk, very slippery. Radiator in main room did not work, we were told to use the air conditioning in the bedroom to heat the whole place, we did not use it due to environmental concerns, but before we left we tested the Aircon and it was not working anyway First night a food delivery driver knocked on the door many times at 1.15am, wrong door. Cleaning of room was offered on day 5 of the stay. Ironing board in room, no iron.
