The room and shared area are clean. The staff are really nice. Love the scene from both my room and the balcony. The location of this hotel is far from the train station. From the Kamakura train station, you need to take a bus and walk around 5 to 10 mins, across a quiet residence area to it. It's kind of scary in the night. However, I believe that it's safe in Kamakura. I don't think it's a downside to this hotel.

For self check-in, the staff asked me to call them for more information. However, like must of foreign visitors, I don't have a local phone number. I think they need a process to lead visitors via mail/message instead of phone call.

The place is absolutely amazing, I chose it for the views and I was absolutely wowed by it. Great bed with window on the ocean, breath taking sunset. The fact that is in front of a busy street doesn't disrupt your sleep so that is not a problem. It's a wonder even when the weather isn't summery. Loved it and hope I will be able to go back.

To me it was absolutely perfect. If I had to add something for others, I would recommend this place to those who want to explore Kamakura with leisure, not to travellers who are always on the move and what to see a lot of places, the reason is that the hotel isn't close to the attractions but to the beach, so it takes time to get to tourist places.

Convenient location for ocean & beach lovers. The self-check in instruction was great because I came in really late. Ice-cold water were waiting for me in the kitchen area in such a hot, humid summer evening, nothing beats it - plus an easy and clean shower. It was quiet & peaceful at night. As promised, I see through the window in the early morning and the ocean is right in front of me. The breakfast is so amazingly delicious and healthy. Making me to want to have lunch here, too! The staff was great, always smiles on thr face, and really helpful to my trip needs.

Not much, really. Perhaps the bed linens could be dried a bit more but it could just be due to the typhoon weather recently.

The breakfasts! We thought we had made reservations at a hotel but this place is a B&B. Your fee includes a complete traditional Japanese mulicourse meal that is beautiful, delicious and filling. The view!!! The view from the upper bunk (queensize) bed is the ocean and a palm tree.) You can't beat that. There is a very busy road between you and the sea, but you gain beach access by walking east to an underpass. The staff!!! These ladies are so kind and they keep the place spotlessly clean. We stayed 4 days and felt completely at home. Two shared modern shower rooms, two sinks and washer/dryer and one or two shared toilets for 5 guestrooms. It works. Bear in mind the rooms are tiny, with the loft bed taking up almost all the room. A twin mattress, TV, small table and fridge are below the larger bed. You have a four by four foot space to stand up in. If you can't do stairs this bedroom is not for you, but at least come for breakfast and the view from the terrace. Take a cab to find it, about 1100 yen from the station. There is a local bus you can catch from the north side of the street across from the Create store. When we did not have luggage we walked to town. It's not a bad walk. Would gladly return, and highly recommend.

The tight quarters. But no loft = no view and the view is worth it. Surprisingly, the shared facilities did not bother me. All was impeccably clean and the showers are high end.

location was excellent right by the beach with great food options there and next door. really enjoyed using the products in the shower my hair felt amazing after and i loved the skin care products too . staff are very nice and made me feel very welcomed. it was my first time solo traveling so i was really shy but i enjoyed my stay there alot. The beds are very comfortable and it was so beauitful waking up to that view. the rooms are not big but perfect for solo travel or a couple i thought it was a great price for the location.

Only thing i didnt like is the toilets are right next to the kitchen so a privacy curtain would make the stay more comfortable.

Included breakfast is excellent, as are available evening meal options (pay attention to the "last order" time). Location is 5-minutes from local bus stops and a small supermarket (note the supermarket is not a convenience store and not open 24h, so plan accordingly). Beach is across the street and is easily accessed. While not hidden away by any means, this property is isolated from the noise and bustle of the throngs of day tourists around JR Kamakura Station and the Enoden Line.

The cutest tiny loft with the most comfortable mattress and the view of the entire beach, super cosy and cute. Certainly a 'backpackers' but super clean, very welcoming, safe and perfect location. Take note if you are tall or large you may feel cramped but it's just "Japanese small" - Loved the included breakfast and the deck was great for sunset too. Could walk from the Train to check in, and the staff were happy to call us a taxi for dinner reservations. The street noise is 'street noise' but we only noticed it during the day, overnight the main road was quiet. Would be great for surfers, just not sure of storage for your boards as rooms so small! The shared bathrooms were super clean, and all bathroom items like toothbrush, toothpaste etc provided. Loved the stay here! Perfect for couples.

Great location across from the beach and a reasonable walk to a drugstore with groceries and a convenience store. Room split AC system. Daily included breakfast is above average and sized just right, and other available meals are also very good. Nearby bus stops for transportation to either Kamakura or Zushi train stations.

Indoor common spaces are limited to 2 large tables with seating for 8 to 10 persons and several bar stools. Generally fine, but expect congestion with other guests in inclement weather when sitting on the expansive outside terrace is not a viable option.

The hotel is in a very nice position, with a good view of the see. The staff was extremely gentle and their cooking skills were excellent (I enjoyed the Japanese style breakfast): there was also free water in bottle. The bathroom and the washing machine were great.

From the pictures I saw, I expected the room to be a bit bigger: it wasn't really a problem because I was out most of the day, but I struggled when opening a big suitcase.

The staff was really nice, and while the room was quite small, the bed was comfortable. The beach is just across the street. We asked for a vegetarian breakfast at the last moment and received a nice meal where only one item (fish) was removed..

Opening the luggage was a little awkward, but that is expected. This is not so much related to the room, but I wanted to go for a swim. However, the beach here is really shallow, and the water is full of, well, everything.
