My husband and I had the most amazing week at the Alfred Hotel during the New Year’s holiday. From start to finish, everything about our stay exceeded expectations! The rooms were immaculately clean, and the shower was fantastic—a true highlight after a long day of exploring. But what really set this hotel apart was the exceptional service. Every single staff member went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Breakfast each morning was a delight, with a wide selection of delicious options to start the day right. Axelle, who managed the breakfast service, was incredibly accommodating and always greeted us with a warm smile. What a wonderful way to start the day! In the evenings, the breakfast area transformed into a cozy space for dinner and drinks starting at 6 PM. What a treat! The barman, Paul, crafted the most incredible cocktail, the “Pomme de Feu”—his own creation. It was one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. Make sure to ask for it if you visit! The front desk staff, particularly Nasma, was outstanding. She was so helpful, providing great recommendations and always ready to assist with a cheerful attitude. Staying at the Alfred Hotel felt like being welcomed into a home away from home. The warm, friendly atmosphere and attention to detail made our New Year’s holiday truly special. We can’t wait to come back and would highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a perfect getaway!

Great location, charming room with views to the river and also across the rooftops. Staff were so friendly. Wonderful breakfast with delicious bread, croissants, fruit and lots more! I loved the flan. Really tastefully decorated, I took home some ideas for decorating. Cocktails were served in the bar in the evening but we just had wine. There was a lovely calm but lively vibe.

Our room was a little cold but we snuggled up in the very comfortable beds. Parking underground was very tight but day 2 we parked opposite which is easier and also cheaper.

The staff at the hotel was very welcoming. The room was really large with one of the most comfortable beds and lovely bedding of the hotels we stayed. There is a great coffee maker available in the restaurant with free coffee 24 hours. The location is super easy to explore the lovely town, and restaurants in the hotel and around the area. Loved the bakery around the corner, interesting shops and The Bistro Flandres over the bridge.

nothing that can be done about this but parking is available, and located conveniently - it is just a bear if you have a car that is medium size or larger

Great team of staff. Room was spacious and the hotel has some thoughtful touches - complimentary coffee downstairs and a nice explanatory leaflet about their decision not to have aircon.

Nothing - it's good quality throughout so any comment here is just further improvements not dislikes. Because there is no aircon (fine by us) it's nice to be able to sleep with the window open as it is cool outside. Our room 105 seemed to be accessible from outside so we didn't feel safe having the window open. Car park access is a bit fiddly as the intercom system to open the gate could be improved.

Seems like a recently renovated building in center of Compiegne. Very well done. All brand new. Very comfortable beds. Great extensive breakfast. Free coffee/tea all day. Very nice staff. Clean. Nice parking in cellar.

Someone started moving crates or wheeled storage carts in the back of the hotel at around 7AM. Was it laundry or was it the restaurant next door. The cellar parking is nog expensive (12 euro) but for over sized cars it may be a challenge. Moving about in the cellar is without much space, but it can be done.

A good size of room. Very comfortable bed and bedding and the room was serviced daily. An excellent breakfast buffet with a wide choice of items. The central location is very convenient, both for the town and the train station. There are three very close car parking options; the hotel's own car park, a paying public car park and if you get lucky, there's free public parking within 100m of the hotel.

What a Cozy Hotel this is! Very warm reception. Good room with a beautiful view over the canal, good bathroom and shower. Everything you need is there. Breakfast : Tasty, and Good coffee. Respect for the staff during breakfast to ensure that everything runs smoothly, Top! Close to everything : centre, supermarkets, restaurants and pubs. My Folding Bike was No problem to store. Did I mention it's COZY here?. With pleasure, until the next one.

The windows on the street side insulate slightly less. Perhaps a point for difficult sleepers, Personally no problem here.

The room had also a desk, so I could work on my laptop. Parking was public in front, but places were available. Good news was that between 7PM and 8 AM parking is free. Room is big enough to fit 2 persons, including the dresser option. The receptionists were very nice. There is a restaurant right next to the hotel, open till 9PM.

Breakfast was divers, but the options were poor nutritionally, natural fibers were only some fruits, but no veggies. Too many sweets. Lighting in the bathroom was very poor, I could barely see myself while putting on makeup. Parking cannot be reserved on site., therefore I ended up on parking on the street. There was a electric kettle, but no tea bags or instant coffee. No glasses in the room. Minibar was empty. The soap dispenser was broken in the bathroom.

In a very good position, quiet room, extremely clean, comfortable beds, bath and shower in bathroom,very good breakfast, friendly staff and good value for money

It would be nice if a small area in the breakfast room was set aside so that one could sit and buy tea / coffee at all times perhaps via a vending machine whilst waiting for friends etc

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The property is centrally located, making it convenient to explore the city and access nearby attractions. The staff made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The room was comfortable, and the overall experience was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay!
