We had a lodge overlooking the mountains and, when the sun shone, the view was spectacular. The beds were comfortable and the gas fire much appreciated as the days were drawing in. The bathroom was adequate (no plug in the sink) and the other facilities were good. We asked for - and received - a kettle to boil water for tea. There is no television on offer. The staff and the views made this a special visit.

The lodge we occupied in designed for summer use and so, as the nights were colder, we needed the extra heating from the gas fire. A television would have been appreciated - especially as the MLB Postseason was just starting!

The venue has a view that is outstanding and the rooms are comfortable. Parking is not a problem and easy access from the main road. The staff were attentive and very friendly, couldn’t fault them.

There wasn’t much not to like as overall it was a very pleasant stay. Though the bathroom was adequate, it could have done with a bit of an upgrade but this is being picky. Breakfast on one morning didn’t have all the ingredients, however the chef worked around this, again being a little picky here, the portion size was a little on the small size that said the quality and presentation were excellent, as mentioned previously all the serving staff were top notch.

The location of this lodge is absolutely wonderful. Beautiful surroundings. Close to both Hinton and Jasper. Quiet and serene. I loved the trails around the property. The food at the onsite restaurant was delicious although very expensive for such small portions. The reception staff were super friendly.

I did not like the housekeeping at the property. They do the absolute bare minimum. We stayed there 3 nights and were low on shower gel and needed new towels. I told the front desk. The housekeepers went into our room to give us clean towels, they did not add shower gel as requested, and they did not even make the bed. They literally only switched the towels. Maybe this is typical in a lodge like this but I would have expected housekeeping to include a bit more than that.

More affordable than closer to Jasper but be aware, it’s still over 30 minutes to town and an hour to Maligne Lake. Property has various size cabins to rent. There is what appears to be a very nice restaurant on premises which we were unaware of. We should have researched more but a note from them asking if we wanted a dinner reservation would have been nice.

This is an older building that is being well maintained but the bathroom was small and needs updating. We were in main building. Room coffee maker only offered powdered creamer, how about some real creamer for those needing to check out early!

Beautiful quiet trails near the property to explore. Love the location--right outside the parkgates, close to the Folding Mountain Brewery, Miette hotsprings, and Switzer Provincial Park, and an hour closer to Edmonton for the drive there and back, which really makes a difference! The views are superb. And we got upgraded to a beautiful cabin, so there really aren't any complaints!

The food at the restaurant was very good but the service was very slow. We waited over an hour between our starter and main course. I hope this was just a blip, but the staff could have dealt with it better. The waitress kind of started avoiding us because I think she was embarrassed and it was a bit awkward.

The property is conveniently located, the grounds are beautiful with stunning views of the mountains. The main lodge is out of a movie, wood burning fireplace and a cafe with beautiful views! We can only imagine what a winter wonderland it looks like with the snow. Everything seems to be well taken care of and the staff were welcoming and friendly. Thank you for the upgrade! the chalet we stayed in was cozy.

The shower needs some updating / repairs it was tough to turn the handle for hot/cold water

Great location, just 4 minutes outside of Jasper national park and about 15 minutes from Hinton which has gas, Walmart and fast food. The cabins was cute and comfortable and had a beautiful view of the mountains. The beds were comfy, there was a fridge, a gas fire, a fan so all the basics were covered. The bathroom was clean and functional with good water pressure. The main building had beautiful views and a good menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner which was not too expensive but not super cheap.

Would have been nice to have breakfast included.

Beautiful view, only 2 minutes drive from Jasper national park gates. It’s 40 minutes from the town of Jasper, but there is so much to stop and do along the way into town, and you are enjoying the scenery and wildlife the whole time. In my mind it’s the perfect location, insane view of the mountains from our balcony.

They don’t have ac. So if you go during a heat wave your room will be very hot. It does cool off at night, if you are out most of the day then the heat in the room doesn’t really matter

The lodge is in a spectacular area with beautiful view. The staff is professional and kind. We loved the breakfasts in the nice restaurant, and the homemade jam was a hit. We would really like to come back sometimes

The internet service is very poor, works occasionally, and extremely slow. We heard a constant humming, buzzing sound from the floor of our cabin which got stronger if we put our head on the pillow (maybe the septic system?) we did not have good sleep.

Really great stay! Had a great check in experience with clear and friendly experience via text as we were slightly delayed. Room was spacious enough with a big bed, writing table and chairs and private bathroom. Location is lovely and secluded, it's a few minutes drive outside the boundaries of Jasper National Park, about 20 minute drive to Hinton and about 40 minute drive to Jasper town, so easy enough to drive to both if needed. We enjoyed the Miette Hot Springs nearby combined with the Sulphur Skyline walk and went to Maligne Lake the next day. Staff were friendly and helpful through our stay. Would definitely stay again!
