It was in a very good location, a pleasant walk to the sights or to the fun around Logan circle. Neighbourhood was quiet after dark and early in the morning. Room was basic but functional and the shower was of high pressure. The air con worked a treat. Also the various staff I spoke with were quite helpful when I needed information.

No safe in the room or in reception - I always like to lock my passport away when I’m travelling if I’m not using it so this was a bit inconvenient. I also had a problem with the Wi-Fi but I think this was to do with the security settings of the routers. However, I don’t have any real evidence of that, just that I had issue accessing certain apps on my phone like booking.com but using a browser was absolutely fine.

Very neat & clean double bed room 303. New clean white blinds, quite and felt safe as a female travelling solo. Very comfortable beds and good working heater/ac unit. But really great hotel. Has 24/7 coffee. It was in close proximity to plenty of restaurants, latte/coffee shops, 30 minute walk to the Monument went by fast.. almost a straight path down 15th street all the way to the DC MALL with a Starbucks and another less busy coffee shop along the way. Young lady staff at very nice, attentive, professional and helpful with a smile.

I had some trouble getting my room door opened when using key card on a couple occasions. No microwave, no refrigerator. Hot water in shower initially took perhaps 4-5 minutes to begin heating up. I was beginning to worry, but once it heated, heat shower experience and very clean shower stall. TV channels fuzzy but I don't watch much TV anyways.. so ok.

Excellent location, clean, tidy and good value for money.

Single lift and very slow. No tea/coffee facilities in bedrooms, small TV and outdated decor. I got what I paid for and was good value. Would stay here again.

If you read the reviews, you would have reservations. I was so pleased with my room (lovely unexpected touches like facecloths, tissues, a balcony, the biggest bed I’ve slept in, huge room, bath, bright lighting, fan and air conditioning machine, tv with Disney Channel, also water fountain with hot& cold water, coffee machine and microwave in foyer!) The carpet in the hall is old fashioned, clean and quaint. Why moan about that. Steps at the front are down to the age of the building and it makes it further back from the road! Having a Wholefoods store 2 mins walk away was brilliant - great hot food and fruit/cakes, etc. There is also a Sweet Greens opposite. I walked everywhere and it was so easy to get around with this hotel as a starting point. Oh - the WiFi was great too!

Nothing!

The rates are very good and it’s in a really nice neighbourhood, with plenty of restaurants, supermarket & pharmacy around the corner. Bus stop (52) right on the corner. 10 minute walk to Metro. This is a small, older hotel, but I found the rooms were very clean, beds and linen were great. My room had 2 double beds, bathtub & toiletries supplied. Tea/coffee and microwave available in reception as well as ice. Staff were helpful. I can’t fault it really. Not 5 star, but if don’t want to pay a fortune, this is a great option.

There’s nothing I didn’t like

The location is excellent. short walking distance to restaurants. next door to a fancy restaurant Viceroy. close to a lovely park on Logan Circle, which looks to be surrounded by residences and is used as a bit of a common area with people reading, walking, picnicking. i was in town for a concert at Lincoln Theatre and it was a lovely 30 minutes walk. Good location for an Uber pick up. Most of my UberXL were $12-15 to various locations, including tour pick up locations and also Union Station. Hotel staff was generally friendly. Bed was adequately comfortable.

Don’t expect anything but bare bones amenities, nor should you for the price. No breakfast, small room size, and toilet was easy to clog. Desk couldn’t find a plunger for me, had to wait for maintenance to come in, which was about an hour. My request was forgotten, I think because of a shift change, i had better luck with my second request and got my hands on a plunger, toilet unclogged.

The location. The location is very nice. less than 5 minutes walk to bus station, restaurants, café and supermarket. The neighbourhood beautiful. You can walk around 10-15 minutes to Dupont Circle. The hotel is old but clean and the staff very helpful. They provide you with water and tea in the lobby. I booked room for 4 person, the room size quite big with 2 queen bed and we still can put our luggage around. Recommended if you want to visit DC. They also can store your luggage. The picture is neighbourhood in front of the hotel.

Nothing. Just if you can't use stairs, there is a stairs to enter the hotel and the elevator a bit slow. But because this small hotel you can just use the stairs.

As soon as I walked in, I noticed how clean it was. The bed and pillows were pretty comfy; the bed was on the softer side so keep that in mind, but I slept great. The location didn't feel dangerous.

The water pressure in the shower wasn't great. I visited on a Friday night during President's Day weekend, and I could hear people partying outside but it wasn't loud enough to disturb my sleep. There is no dedicated parking which sucked, but thankfully street parking was free since it was the weekend and I paralell parked down the street. For the price, I didn't mind any of these flaws.

Our room seemed to have been newly renovated, it was clean, the beds were comfy. It had a great location (close to groceries, restaurants, sights, etc.) in a safe neighborhood. The bathroom was well equipped (hair dryer, shampoo, towels, soap, etc.) We'd read reviews online about bedbugs, so we were a bit worried and started our stay with a thorough bed-check, but the cleanliness proved to be near impeccable.

The guy in the front desk barely talked to us, and even when he was, he never looked at us. He had Airpods in his ears throughout our check-in. It felt an interrogation when we wanted to get any useful information out of him, not nearly like a welcome in a hotel.

Location - you can basically walk everywhere from there Cleanliness - no carpets in the rooms, clean bathroom, beddings and towels were immaculate Shower - hello hot water :D Bed quality - especially the mattresses were extremely comfortable Staff is friendly - they helped us change room after we had some issues with the first one Overall style - I just like hotels that feel a bit old-fashioned (many modern places today make me feel like I'm in hospital, ugh)

First room was a bit crammed to be a double - no space to get to my side of the bed directly Door in the first room was not opening/closing properly An AC malfunction in the first room made the smoke alarm go off at 5:30AM (All of the above was completely solved by changing room)
