The staff greeted us with a smile and asked whether we were in need of anything, EVERY single time they saw us. The complimentary evening social happy hour beverage was fantastic every evening. The quality of the food and pricing in the restaurant was exceptional, as well. Staff provided complimentary umbrellas for use on one of the days that we were present, due to unexpected rain.

The parking amenities were not included in the pricing. Parking is very limited at the hotel and on the street. We actually lucked up and were able to find parking on the street every day that we were present. Staff expressed that such was "very rare". Public transportation options should be explored to avoid the hassle.

The room was very cosy, and quite large, and had a nice view with lots of natural light. There were also thick curtains so we could make the room very dark, even during the daytime (good for sleeping in in the morning). There was a nice little gym which I used once and was happy about. The rest of the building looks very smart, and has some nice artworks around, you definitely feel like you're walking into a nice hotel when you arrive.

I'm not complaining, more observing, but when we arrived (during the night shift) we were surprised that the hotel had to preauthorise a payment of several hundred dollars in case we damaged the room or something. It made me a bit uncomfortable because it was quite a lot of extra money to entrust to the hotel, but the real issue was that the concierge on duty didn't have sufficiently good English to explain what was happening. It took us a while to understand why we appeared to be being charged hundreds of extra dollars. (To be clear, that money was never taken from our account, it just would have been nice to not think we had to pay a huge hidden fee on arrival, it cast a cloud over our first night)

we had early check in since noon time, it was very happy from travel since early morning , and like the hotel location where is close to many good restaurants , whole food , groceries store and walk distance to attractive places. Staffs are very nice service from reception to entrance.

The bath room is too small and house maid did not clean well, not fill up complete hotel amenities daily. Plug of refrigerator was not in good condition, we thought it was plug in already , but it was not ready in the morning. Free cocktail hour is too short , it was not in time for us to take the service. we missed it all days.

Didn’t realize an additional $30 fee would be added to the nightly rate for “amenity fee”. Though we didn’t use or receive any amenity.

Kind staff, beautiful decoration. Strong and hot shower, with good amenities in the bathroom. Full control of the bedroom's AC.

The carpet looked very dirty, despite not being dusty. I wish there was more counter space in the room to put my objects. There is a $35 amenity fee which I was not expecting, despite no breakfast being included with this fee.

The hotel is very nice, lobby has a good vibe, the hotel seems like a nice place catering to a mixture of people some coming alone for buisness and some coming for vacation with the whole family. The staff does a very good job helping everybody with thier specific needs. The room was relatively big, the bed was very comftable (one of the bset I have ever slept on in a hotel bedroom) the shower is big. The hotel bar is open every day and has very good cocktails and desserts with service being on a very high level. The location of the hotel is pretty good about 15 minutes walk from the white house.

Had no specific problem

The location is great for getting to the main museums and sights. It is also walkable to a couple of great streets for restaurants. The downstairs restaurant has very good food if you are too tired to go out one night and their breakfast is great. There is also a huge WholeFoods right nearby as well. Hanks Oyster House is great and easy to walk to. Super helpful staff. Very comfortable bed!

Just a tad expensive but that is not unusual for DC hotels.

The hotel is very elegant and clean. Grocery stores, restaurants and bars are all within walking distance. Exceptionally kind receptionist(s). We appreciated that upon check-in we were specifically asked about what kind of room we'd prefer (upper/downer floor, quiet one, main road facing, etc.). We loved how spacious the room we were given was. The bar is great with good selection of drinks and snacks and a decent happy hour offer. Nelson is a very fun guy too, we loved the evenings, he was on duty. As a bonus point, I'd like to mention that we forgot a personal item in the hotel room that we noticed well after check-out, by which time we had already left DC. The front desk kindly offered us to send it after us to our residential address in Europe. We only needed to create a shipping label and set a pick up time. They took care of the packing and handed the parcel to the delivery person. We got it back safe and sound within a few days, so once again we'd like to say special thanks for it. :)

One of the nights we had dinner at the hotel's restaurant. The food and cocktails were really nice. However, as we sat in the patio, twice we were harassed by homeless people asking for money (there is an outdoor camp about 300 ft away). No one came from the hotel/restaurant to send them away. Also, food/drink service should be seriously improved, as waiters/waitresses were very inattentive. Even though, there were only a handful of guests that night, multiple times we felt forgotten about: long waiting times between dishes, our drinks were long gone and nobody came to refill/take our next orders, card payment took 15-20 minutes, etc... On top of this all, we were badly bitten by mosquitos coming from the patio's surrounding bushes.

Location, you can walk 20-30 minutes and get to all tourist spots. Or a $10 Uber ride I’d say. And then the good staff, free drink for all at 5, the great restaurant (Gerard Kitchen), and it’s server Ms Lauren. The food is outstanding and super inexpensive if you land up in happy hour which I think is from 1600 to 1800 not sure. Shrimp tempura and the sushi was awesome. They have free bicycles for guests too.

$60 for parking per day. I’m not sure is more or less reasonable

The location was very good. The room was big. Some of the people at the lobby were nice (some not). The fitness room was nice and well equipped.

The lady who received us was very rude. Her first words to us was were: driving license, followed by credit card. The room was okay clean, but if you look close you notice it was not so clean. I found a bandage hanging from the soap and champu tray. They charged us the deposit (i think 300 dollars) but didn't inform us. Until now we have not received it back.
