Spectacular building in a perfect location. The interior is gorgeous, everything is beautiful and you feel welcome as soon as you enter. Our bedroom was number 1 with an amazing view over the square and with a full width balcony it was fabulous to stand with a glass of wine and watch the world go by. There was music in the evenings in the square but it finished at 10pm so we were not disturbed. The room itself was enormous with a carved wooden ceiling that made it really special and the bed was super comfortable.

There were no facilities in the room to make a drink. I was provided with. kettle on request and fortunately I had packed tea bags and we didn't need milk or sugar. Coffee was available on request from reception with a charge. Breakfast was OK. Nice bread and yoghurt with honey. Fresh fruit platter variable with banana slices going brown as prepared in advance. I would have liked a small buffet of cereals, fruit and bakery products.

We rented the Suite with city view /3rd floor which was beautiful! The street outside can be noisy but windows can hold most of it. The entry area/bar/reception was beautifully decorated for Christmas. We met 3 staff during our stay, all of them very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Good and flexible a-la-carte breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay!

The balcony doesnt deserve its name as it is only as wide as your feet. You need to book another room if you like to sit on a balcony. We did not mind it, but the toilet only has a barely tinted glas door which hardly keeps noise indoor. Could be irritating for sensitive couples/friends...

Perfection. Maison Particulière is a jewel in Porto's crown. Elegant and charming with the most attentive staff who were so friendly and helpful. The moment we were greeted at the front door we knew we were going to be staying somewhere special. The interior is filled with antique furniture and the attention to detail is sublime. Our room was spacious and comfortable with all the modern amenities. We chose the one with the inner courtyard which was quiet and private. Breakfast, which is included in the room price is tailor made daily to individual preference and is delicious. The hotel fronts onto a small pedestrian square where there are several very good restaurants and further up the street many boutiques. It is perfectly situated for exploring the delights of Porto. Our sincere thanks to the family run team at Maison Particulière for making our four night stay so memorable. We look forward to visiting you again. ❤️

We couldn’t fault it…

The stay at the hotel was wonderful - the attic room has a great view of the historic part of the city. The interior design is really great. The smell throughout the hotel was very pleasant. Thank you for your hospitality.

Breakfast - it would be good to improve the variety of offer, f.ex. more regional cheese, simple toast, some fresh vegetables, and the variety of fruit served (sometimes it was too cold). Service - great people, but it seems to me that at breakfast time one person has too many things to do. Lighting in the room - the bulbs next to the bed gave too bright white lighting which spoilt the atmosphere of a great room with a beautiful view a little.

Absolutely stunning, very well appointed and a perfect location for walking to the river and seeing the sites. Our room had a balcony and had beautiful views ... and even though it faced the busy street it was quiet . Honestly , this place is first rate. Marco greeted us and was extremely helpful at every interaction .

TBH, it had a slightly funny smell in the lobby ... not sure what that was about . I have an extremely sensitive nose though . It wasn't awful ... just not a yummy smell .

Everything. The furnishings, the small cosy family feel about the house. The security where you have to enter the building by ringing a bell. The breakfast. The location. Marco and Susannah’s relaxed and helpful attitude to their guests . Brilliant

Nothing really to do either the hotel but being in a unesco protected historical site the parking is off site. But once we worked that out was not a problem. The hotel has a deal with a parking group not far from the hotel which works well.

We stayed at this hotel with my wife, and everything was amazing. The rooms were beautifully designed, and the breakfasts were delicious. The hotel is also perfectly located, making it easy to explore the area.

On the downside, the bathroom door was made of semi-transparent glass, which felt a bit unusual. Additionally, there is no on-site parking available, which might be inconvenient for those traveling by car.

The location was wonderful. Close to shopping and eating. The room was decorated thoughtfully and I enjoyed the view from the balcony. The staff was attentive to our every need, and breakfast was prepared for us each morning at our requested time on fine china. The original Picasso's in the bedroom were amazing as well as the carpets and fine furnishings.

Only drawback was the glass bathroom door that provides little privacy from the bed. We used a blanket to hang on the glass for privacy. A curtain, or folding screen would be a perfect addition to the beautiful room. We stayed for a week and that is the only complaint.

We loved everything about this B and B and loved the breakfast which we selected each evening before. Everything was made fresh to order and served in the lovely dining room. The staff is wonderful and gave us ideas on places to see and places to eat. The lobby was so beautiful with the holiday decorations and fireplace which we appreciated on chilly evenings. I LOVE this place!

The interior decoration in a renovated old building. Convenient for the major tourist attractions.

It is situated right in the centre of Porto next to restaurants and cafes with large outdoor eating areas. During the day and on one night up until 11 o'clock there were musicians playing /singing using amplification . If one wants a peaceful stay this is not ideal.. If you like background music all the time then no problem .
