The staff was exceptional and the place was clean and safe. Nice breakfast and parking was available for a few which was totally worth it!

Has to leave for early flight - elevators and man entrance are shut down during night hours - had to take down stairs. I understand the reason for security but not sure why elevator has to be locked out.

The staff were very helpful and kind. We arrived by bike and Fanny the receptionist showed us where to store the bikes and then offered us complimentary breakfast. We stayed a couple of nights and then had to take an early train to Bilbao so Fanny came into work at 6.30am, before her shift, to help us get the bikes out of the garage. The staff were truly great and made us feel very welcome.

The hotel is a bit far from the centre of Santander, though there are good bus connections and a nice restaurant just a 2 minute walk away.

I chose this hotel for it's proximity to the airport. It has a sign in the room reminding reviewers that it's a 3-star hotel. That's something I haven't seen before, but actually it's fair enough- don't apply a 5-star critique to a 3 star hotel. And for a 3-star hotel it is very good. For a 3-star hotel to be excellent in my book it must be spotlessly clean, comfortable, well maintained and the service must be friendly and helpful. Hotel Nueva Plaza ticked all these boxes. I didn't have breakfast, but the breakfast room also looked neat and clean. They also accommodated my need for 2 extra days of parking, at a reasonable price. I didn't use it, on account of an unreliable taxi, but that's not the fault of the hotel, and they refunded me without hesitation. I'd use Nueva Plaza again, if I needed to overnight near Santander Airport.

Reception closes overnight, but they give you a key. There is a lively restaurant and bar scene nearby, and a supermarket almost next door.

The staff was amazing. . . very friendly and helpful. There was mini fiesta going on in the town during my stay with local history and artisan works on display - a nice bonus.

I needed a shuttle to the airport early on a Saturday morning and no staff arrived to the hotel until 8 am. This was quite inconvenient for me as I chose this hotel because it was close to the airport and advertised that a shuttle would be provided. The staff did hire a taxi for me and it all worked out but it was more expensive and complicated than I had anticipated. Also, there is a bar and restaurant area at the hotel but it is only open for breakfast which was also a bit inconvenient.

Great staff, very helpful and knowledgeable. Comfortable room and bed, close to airport, standard Continental breakfast in nice room.

Pretty decent place not much to dislike other than Spain's problematic restaurant food schedule. However found a good Chinese restaurant close by that serves food ( not just snacks called pintxos before 1 pm and doesn't close for food between 3-6 pm.

Lovely clean hotel. Good breakfast.parking extra which was as described in the hotel information guide. All the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to add to our comfort and to ensure we got the best out of our stay.

It’s a pity the hotel only caters for breakfast. The location was a bit further out of Santander than we realised but that was our mistake

I had a late arrival flight into Santander, and this place is a brisk 20-minute walk from there. I had told the hotel when my flight arrived, and a friendly reception was open when I got there. Small single room, but clean and comfortable with good wifi and a bath. A good breakfast (including a teapot) was included in the price.

Breakfast was the typical Continental, but nothing special The facility look spanking new, and very attractive. The dining room was not open for meals other than breakfast. However there were a large number of good looking eating establishments within minutes if on foot as I was. The hotel usually closes the desk at midnight, however due to a transportation scheduling mix-up, I didn't arrive until 3 AM on foot in pouring rain and cold winds. It took only one prior phone call to allow me to enter and occupy my room at 3 without further assistance necessary.

Single room was a bit small.

Very friendly receptionist who offered us refreshments on our arrival in the middle of the day which was very much appreciated. Thank you... Very spacious rooms and comfortable and clean with good facilities. Location is also good - very close to Santander airport. Happy to stay here again.

Very nice and clean hotel in quiet area within walking distance from airport. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Good selection in the buffet breakfast in a smart dining area. The staff were very helpful, including one particularly extremely courteous receptionist who spoke English, and who did her utmost best to give me very good directions to get to a distant location by bus and also names of some good restaurants for dinner. Highly recommended!
