Honestly, one of the best Hostels I've had in Japan. They take a lot of care on the details of the dorms that reduce noise, which I'm going to describe here: – You get a really nice, quite thick, wooden box, with beautiful and dimmable light, lots of space, good mattress, and even a silent fan built into the box, which then allows nearly fully darken the box with a curtain that neatly snaps on to a magnet on the rails. – There is a carpet on the floor that takes up a lot of noise from the dorm. – There is enough space inside of the dorm, so you don't feel cramped and hear neighbours. – The frame of the door is padded and therefore closes very quietly. Such a small but neat detail. This allowed me to have the probably best sleep I ever had in a hostel. Also the location is right next to the main station in Hiroshima, which allows you to take the next Shinkanzen just a few minutes later. I don't know how fluctuant the prices are but my stay was also amongst the cheapest I had within the whole trip and that's such an incredible good value for the money. Obviously, I highly recommend this place!

Nothing at all!

Location close to the train station is excellent. The beds were comfortable and showers were nice and hot. Staff were friendly during check in and provided a helpful tour of the property.

The reception is only open after 1600, so we were instructed by a sign to leave our bags (Pre check in) in full view the cafe which is open to the public and unstaffed. I would have felt more comfortable leaving my belongings with staff or at least in a locked room. The dorms also have main lights on a sensor which turn on whenever anyone moves so bring an eye mask!

I stayed for three nights, the first and second night was okay. Its a decent stay, thats very in the Center. Even though there was only one toilet for like 4 rooms, most people are out all day and Hiroshima has a lot of toilettes everywhere so that it doesnt matter at all.

On the last night, i found a bed Bug in my bed and Had to stay in the lobby to Sort and check my whole luggage. Took me until 4 o'clock in the morning. Since i noticed around midnight, there wasnt any staff left to discuss. Horrible night and a Nightmare for long time travelers.

The guesthouse was only a few minutes away from the station which was perfect for me because I travelled with a big suitcase. The reception and the kitchen/chilling area is downstairs, the stairs to the rooms are next to the reception but you have to go outside to get to the room. There are stairs to the room but the staff can help you with the luggage. I liked that the areas were separated because I stayed up late often and didn't disturb anyone like this. The beds, showers and toilets were all clean.

The lights in the dorms have a sensor and turn on whenever anyone moves in the dorm. The curtains in the beds are dark enough however.

Great location, 5' from hiroshima station. Also, close to several convenient store. The staff was very nice and helpful. They had several recommendations, which is always appreciated. They allow you to leave your bags before check-in/after check-out. The female dormitory was quite spacious, and the beds were comfortable and clean. The lights turned on/off automatically, which was super nice, adding to the great night sleep. The bathrooms were kept very clean and there was enough for everyone not to queue. Beware, you have to pay a fee for towels. The common space is super cosy and lively, with a fully equipped kitchen and amenities. It's a great space to meet people!

The female dormitory is quite spacious, however a bit awkward with big luggages. Apart from that, amazing stay!

I loved the soft beds, pillow, and comforter. The room was decorated beautifully. The bathroom and the showers were very clean and nice. The staff was very kind and the location was perfect. Near all the trolleys and bus stops and 8 min walk to Hiroshima subway station. One of the nicest hostels I’ve ever stayed in.

The comforter sheet doesn’t completely cover the comforter. So your skin is touching the actual comforter and they likely don’t wash that comforter… just the sheets

I had a great stay at Akicafe. The bunks are nice and roomy and can fit your belongings in them, larger suitcases seem to be fine just outside of your bunk. It’s very clean and comfortable. The shared bathroom and kitchen areas have everything you need. And nice areas to sit and relax or socialise. The staff were nice and they carried my bag up the stairs to the bunk room. It is only a couple of minutes walk to the train station and the streetcar stop is even closer. Also shops right there.

Nothing for me, it does have stairs up to the bunkrooms but the staff carry your bags. 😊

Great location, close to Hiroshima JR station, tram/bus stop, convenience stores. The guest house is spotless and functional throughout. The kitchen has all you need and more❣️including basic seasoning, cooking oil etc. The laundry machine and tumble dryer work brilliantly. The bed was comfortable with fresh linen provided, powerful shower makes you feel refreshed after a long walk in the city. Love the interior, very relaxing. Highly recommend especially if you are on a budget, yet makes you feel at home 💕

We arrived 8:30 in the morning but the main entrance was unlocked with no receptionist on site. We left our luggage at storage area n went out for sightseeing but were slightly concerned that there was no security.

Location was very near Hiroshima Station. Space available for traveller to store their luggage before check in timing albeit no security. Bed area provides many power outlets for your charging needs.

Check in time at 4pm is very late. Lounge area and bedroom area are seperated. You need to go down stairs, exit and then enter the lounge through a different door. You will have to brave the external weather before entering lounge. Motion sensor lights in the room. It is extremely irritating when it is dark for people or your ownself to trigger the motion sensor lights.

Very close to Hiroshima Station, but less expensive. It is dormitory and almost like a capsule hotel. From this hotel, you can easily access to everywhere from the station, a bus, a tram, a Shinkansen train, a rent-car and the bus to the airport. 24hr convenience store, many restaurants and bars are also nearby. The common space is enough wide to talk with the other tourists from other countries. The talking is really good experience and precious memory on this trip.

As it is dormitory, when someone came back and climb up to their bed, even the small noise wakes me up. Of course, it depends on the other persons, however, every person fundamentally takes care for NOT making noises.
