The hotel couldn’t have been more perfect! The location is ideal to explore the city + the airport bus is only few minutes away too! The room was spacious and spotless, the staff was very kind and welcoming, and the breakfast was delicious as well, with lots of variety. The hot spring was my highlight, exceptionally beautiful and relaxing, with either free ice cream or a yogurt drink afterwards. The hotel offered lots of other perks as well, like free late night ramen. All in all, I can’t recommend this hotel enough and I’d gladly stay there again!

Upscale hotel conveniently located in the city center (commercial arcade with lots of restaurants and Japanese-style pubs), with very good indoor and outdoor onsen located on the top floor. Very large choice of high-quality Japanese and international food freshly prepared by chefs.

Paid parking is located a a block away from the hotel, but it is a bit difficult to reach from the hotel location. There is a staff member at the hotel car entrance providing explanations how to reach the parking lot, but it is difficult to stop the car without blocking traffic. It would have been better to receive GPS coordinates of the parking lot before arriving to the hotel.

This was my first onsen experience and it is life changing; submerging yourself in 42c water alleviates a lot of different aches, especially the ones I get from traveling. The amenities are beyond what I've seen for the price I paid; with free ice cream in the night, free probiotics in the morning, free ramen at night, no fuss about towels (when you ask at the front desk). Their massage chair is top-of-the-line, where it not only rubs but squeezes; it's amazing! Very thoughtful setup with low lighting and beach wave sounds. Check in/out machines are simple. I love speaking very highly of Dormy Inn Matsumaya and I started looking at other Dormy Inns in my Japan stay (All are good but this one was the best!)

The inn is actually a little hard to find among all the other stores, and Google Maps will ask you to loop past the main entrance and send you to the rear entrance (with no shade), so keep an eye out for that! WiFi was intermittently slow here.

Onsen was well maintained and run efficiently, big enough to accommodate the rush hour crowds, had all the toiletries required. Rooms were clean and functional. Everything was automated for checkin and checkout so did not get any interactions with staff. Sadly the foot bath at the entrance was closed when we were there due to the rain. Excellent location which we really appreciated because of the covered shopping streets that we took full advantage of during the rainy day.

Pillows were really quite hard but we still managed to get a good nights rest.

The location was great and it was very clean. The 13th floor onsen was beautiful and well appointed. The lounge was amazing with a free icecream fridge, vending machines with alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks, free ramen after 9.30pm, library and massive massage chairs.

I would have given 10/10, but the flat hard pillows were horrible and really affected my sleep. I know they are authentic but there should be an option to change to western pillows. I would even pay a fee for this to be possible.

The closest available and suitable accommodation to Niihama where we wished to attend the Taikodai Festival. We began planning twelve months prior to our arrival and we were so very fortunate to correspond with Kuono, of the Front Office at Dormy Inn. She was exemplary and generous in her assistance by email….in fact, many emails and it was a delight to meet her during our stay. We remain incredibly grateful to Kuono who was responsible for helping us to fulfill a long held wish. She found tickets for us, provided transport information and shared such kindness through her warm personality. The location of Dormy Inn was very convenient to transport and to restaurants.

Good hospitality, good breakfast, good services(free ice cream, free probiotic drink, and free midnight snack) clean room and clean public hot spring. Everything was super clean, building itself was build recently. It is inside of okaido's shopping street, you can ride the Limousin bus to the airport near here. Contemporary style but you can also enjoy Japanese style hot spring and food here.

A bit small room compare to the price, but complementary services can even out those matters. Nothing else to be a problem here. I definitely come back here if I ever been to matsuyama again.

Great location - convenient to transportation (airport bus, long distance bus, local tram stops are all only a bock away), shopping, eating, sightseeing (Matsuyama Castle, Dogo Onsen). Staff were friendly and very helpful. Room was small but adequate for one person, and in spite of the busy location, the hotel and my room were very quiet. Didn’t use the small shower since there was an onsen facility on site which was relaxing. The buffet breakfast was plentiful although with the same items everyday.

Great hotel in a strategic location close to the Matsyuama shopping street. All spaces of the hotel were clean and the staff was kind and very helpful. The onsen upstairs was a great experience of high quality. Free ice cream after onsen, massage chairs, and ramen soup were excellent, as well as morning breakfast.

As a European I found the 140 cm width of the bed rather uncomfortable. Both me and my partner are slim...

The hotel is located in the arcade shopping street and truly near everything in Matsuyama the castle cable car is just 5 min walk and many shops and restaurants are steps away. The tram can be taking easily to go to the Dogo Onsen area (in our opinion the Dormy hotel offers a better Onsen experience than the Dogo itself :-) ) but you can experience it by yourself and decide. The staff is incredible kind and welcoming. Ask anything they will made the best effort to help you.

Again the bed and pillows are really really hard and uncomfortable we couldn’t sleep luckily it was just one night. Sadly it was our second Dormy experience and we had the same with the bed and pillows as we did in Kyoto.
