Everything. The perfect hotel for people who want a traditional Japanese stay, while having the comforts of home. The staff is amazing, and the room was just straight up magical. Next time I’m staying for a whole week :)

Wow where to start... Firstly the staff were incredible. Not only were they so friendly and welcoming, their attentiveness was next level. From giving me a handmade card and champagne on my birthday, to holding an umbrella over our heads as we got into a taxi so we didn't get rained on. We were blown away by how wonderful they were. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the free drinks and noodles were fantastic. The beds were super comfortable- so much so we spent a lot more time relaxing in this hotel than we usually do on trips. We used the bath salts provided and had lovely long hot baths. We really enjoyed our time here. Great location within walking distance to the fish market which we would highly recommend- ate so much good food here and there were some great restaurants and bars nearby too.

From the first step inside, the hotel felt peaceful. Only our second night in Japan, we’re especially grateful for the warm welcome from hotel staff and for their assistance in finalizing our plans. For us, the hotel location was ideal. The bedroom design was a lovely balance of elegance and comfort. The hotel pajamas were so handsome and cozy we would have bought them if we could have! We slept very well. The 24/7 coffee and roasted twig tea drinks available in the lobby area were both convenient and tasty. And the farewell rice cracker snacks and thoughtful handwritten note were much appreciated as we took next train. We felt very lucky to stay here!

The staff is so friendly, it’s immaculately clean, the beds are so fluffy and so comfortable, the rooms are functional, the shower and automatic toilets are wonderful. And the day clothing is so comfortable! The location cannot be better, on a quiet pedestrian street but near all the action and sites. The breakfast was fantastic! The coffee makers were above average as was the local coffee beans. They have access to clean water, milk, juice, coffee, tea, 24/7. It’s the closest you can feel to your own home!!

The ONE thing was that the people who smoke in the outdoor courtyard, you can sometimes smell it in the stairways. I don’t like smoke. But i understand.

The welcome snack and drink were a nice touch. We had free drinks provided in the room and replenished daily. Very comfortable beds. Really nice bathroom, they let you choose your bath salts on check in. Staff were very friendly and the atmosphere in the reception area was always nice and lively. Free noodle meal at night ( we didn’t have as we ate out, but nice to know the option was available) Little thank you gift on check out was another nice touch. In our 3 week holiday, this was the best place we stayed. Easy walk to market and train station and good local shopping.

The outdoor lobby area between reception and the lifts often smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke, not nice to have to walk through when coming and going

What an excellent little hotel this is! Situated perfectly between the train station and Omichi Market, on a quiet and picturesque side street, the (almost) secret entrance opens onto a warm and inviting dining/reception space. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and juice are complimentary, and a delicious soup is available from 8.00-9.00 every evening. Staff are unfailingly helpful, attentive and polite and nothing is too much trouble. In addition, the best coffee I tasted in Japan is in a charming cafe just across the road. The room is modern and the bathroom nothing short of luxurious. Guests are made to feel very welcome and at home.

We loved everything about this hotel. The rooms have a wonderful, contemporary feel to them and are spotlessly clean, full of neat touches such as the sliding doors that concealed the bathroom (which had a lovely bath tub!). The lobby area offered a selection of hot and cold drinks all day, as well as ramen noodles in the evening which was a nice touch. However, it's the staff who truly make this a wonderful place to stay. Each person we dealt with with so helpful, assisting us with restaurant recommendations, luggage forwarding and even finding somewhere for us to develop 35mm camera film! This hotel thoroughly deserves its high rating!

A little gem !! Small and intimate with the friendliest most caring staff, always ready with beautiful smiles to chat , or help with directions, or transport… the food was excellent with such care and artistic presentation it was a joy to look forward to each breakfast … also they made and offered us free udon soup each evening….The bathroom was excellent with a lovely deep bath and shower with onsen style stool , to make it even better the basket of shower products was extremely generous . I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this delightful hotel !

My wife and I stayed a night at Hotel Kanazawa Zoushi for our honeymoon and we really enjoyed our visit! We were warmly greeted by Yukiteru and provided with a snack and complimentary coffee/juice upon arrival. We stored our luggage and explored the fish market until check-in. The team at Hotel Kanazawa Zoushi went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and special! The hotel room was clean, the complimentary drinks and bath salts were a nice touch, and breakfast was tasty. Furthermore, Yukiteru recommended an excellent Yakiniku restaurant a short drive away. We stayed at 7 hotels over 18 nights for our honeymoon, our stay at Hotel Kanazawa Zoushi was definitely the best of them all and I would highly recommend you stay with them during your trip to Kanazawa!

Absolutely loved this hotel. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Our booking was quite short notice and we added an extra room once there. Staff accommodated this and ensured we were able to stay on the same floor as our daughter. Front desk staff also arranged for our luggage to be sent back to Tokyo. The location is great - close to the market and not far from the station. The area itself was very sweet with a few local businesses and restaurants that we tried. Bus stop very close too. The hotel is absolutely beautiful; the main reception/dining area is very relaxing and our rooms were spacious and so well equipped. We loved the very comfortable rooms, stylish pyjamas and free drinks. If we are ever lucky enough to return to Kanazawa we will definitely stay here again. Thank you Hotel Kanazawa-Zoushi!
