Excellent service, early check-in was requested and facilitated by the hotel which was great. Breakfast was amazing, the chefs accommodated requests for items not at the buffet and there was a great variety. Quick response time to the room and access to the beach was very convenient. Loved it!

alcony.. Ideally located on The Walk with retail shops/ restaurants and fast food eateries nearby.. The staff are amazing.. so helpful and very friendly..nothing is too much trouble for them.. they are a credit to this resort..

As with other reviews, yes the hotel is looking tired, certainly needs a good lick of paint and is lacking in little features which definitely needs immediate attention however this did not affect our stay.. My only criticism and disappointment has to be lack of choice when it comes to dining especially for vegetarians.. I did raise this with the head chef whom tried to address this but overall it was still unsatisfactory.. with hindsight I would not have booked half board..

The size of the room was good, it was extremely clean and they always provided water. The breakfast and dinner were wonderful and there is an option to eat in the restaurants for free. The location was very good: There are not many hotels that are located on the beach,. The staff was very nice and very polite. The gym was the best: excellent equipment!

I would have liked a bigger swimming pool.

Obviously one of the original resort hotels in Jumeriah beach, the Sheraton is now dwarfed by residential tower blocks and the 'Address' hotel next door, but retains it's charm ('charm' is relative in Dubai!). The staff from reception to restaurant were all pleasant, helpful and cheerful. The hotel is right on the broad and pleasant beach and within easy walking distance of the new 'Bluewater' development with a wide choice of restaurants. We only ate in one of the hotel restaurants for one meal and had chosen not to have breakfast included in our booking. We went to Bluewater for breakfast the first morning and used the hotel cafe for a coffee-and-croissant breakfast on our second day rather than a full buffet meal. Upon our return to Dubai from a week-long road trip to Oman we stayed at the Sofitel on the Palm, but if I was to return to Dubai I think I'd be happier to stay at the Sheraton JBR which is not quite as 'blingy'. The newer hotels are probably more 'in favour' but the Sheraton should not be overlooked and certainly the welcome was warm - as was the weather. Just a word about the finances - they took a holding deposit (equivalent to £555) upon arrival which is still showing on my Monzo account. I called back to the hotel upon our return from Oman and they assured me it would disappear as I had fully settled my bill upon departure, but as of the date of writing this report (nearly a month later) it's still showing. I will have to chase them again by email; the manager gave me his card and was insistent that if it was not automatically resolved by the bank he would intervene,

Apart from the small issue with the holding deposit, we were very happy with our room and short stay at the Sheraton.

The staff in general was exceptional. Very professional and helpful. INDER at front desk went above and beyond for as to accomplish our plan including riding Dubai"s Metro and Tran. He gave as the most accurate and easy to follow direction, which was better than MAP. The house keeper MOSA who made our room clean and beautifu. The staff in the restaurant who made delicious breakfast and fresh coffee for us for one week. They all made us feel special . Over all the staff exceptional and well trained

Very comfortable smaller hotel (not skyscraper). Everyone very friendly and helpful and it had everything we wanted. The room was bright and very comfortable and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Lovely swimming pool. Good breakfast. We would definitely stay here again if we came back to Dubai.

Couldn't be helped but the noise from the renovations was a bit intrusive although only during the main part of the day when most of the time we were outside. We ate one evening meal in the main buffet restaurant which wasn't great. Hardly any vegetables ( only potatoes) and the food wasn't very hot. However we spent all evening there and we weren't rushed. For the price we were disappointed.

The hotel in general is very cosy and comfortable. The staff is helpful and kind. The food and service are good. The bed and the pillows are very comfortable. The room is spacious, and the view is great. Beach and pool area is large, and comfortable.

The hotel building next to Sheraton, is closing the sun lights over the pool area. It is a pitty that Dubai city has not anticipated this defect while permitting the construction. The pool area and the bar is getting older, needs a renovation.

Staff were very friendly and helpful & the rooms were clean.

My lower rating of the location is only due to the unfortunate proximity of a nightclub, Bla Bla, which means that guests in rooms on that side of the hotel will have to endure very loud thumping sounds (disco music) until 3 a.m. - hardly condusive to a good night's rest. Guests should be made aware of this issue if rooms on that side of the hotel are allocated. Equally, instead of being able to relax peacefully by the pool in its lovely surroundings, loud music came from the poolside bar without fail.

We arrived early 0730 and the staff kindly arranged a room ahead of checkin (15:00) this was warmly welcomed as we had travelled through the night and needed to ge some rest, they also didn't charge for the early check in, im sure this was because we stayed in the same week last year in a club room and gave a glowing review. Loyalty is rewarded in this case. Having just returned home i am ready to make my reservation for nxt year on the same dates same package.

The room was cleaned and beds made up etc last room of the afternoon we talked with the supervisor and it was changed to the first room to be clean, so a negative turned into a positive, very good housekeeping.
