Lovely homey place. Wifi is good. Place, kitchen, bathroom clean and lovely. Bathroom is ok. Bed is very comfy, has a little reading light, charging port works well. Van transfer to ski center every day and even for return. Spacious enough for everything. Locker works well and there is evwn spacious drawers for your stuff. Allowed to cook simple stuff, large fridge to store

Not much restaurant nearby .. bit sad if you dont drive but GoTaxi is available if u wish to go to Kutchan center for dinner

Breakfast was unavailable when we were visiting. Really enjoyed our stay. Lots of shower facilities. Our hosts were super nice. They were "learning English" but willing to help out in any way possible. Helped get us to Grand Hirafu every morning and even dropped us off at a rental shop on the way the first morning. They did not have rental gear for rent but took us to a great, cheap place. They have a ski gear drying area which is super nice!

Can't really think of anything. It can be tricky cooking in the morning or evenings with other guests around and the small cooking area but the dining space is plenty big.

Super nice hosts. I broke my leg skiing and the host Suke-san kindly offered to help me retrieve my rental car, ship my bags home and took me to get on the bus to the airport the next day. I couldn't have gotten home so easily without him! Besides all that, the accommodations were well run, clean, warm and quiet, beds were comfy and other travelers were friendly.

Service was really nice! Shuttle to and from the resort were provided in the morning and evening for return back to the hotel. The bed was super comfy and the couch in the room was a nice touch! Shared kitchen was available for use and had all required equipment if one wanted to cook.

The hotel is a bit far from the Grand Hirafu resort. Sometimes the bus for the resort does show and you might have a walk a considerable distance if you decide to stay for night skiing.

Convenient shuttle service to Hirafu Welcome Center. Small hostel with max. 12 people sharing the kitchen and shared area, which was always clean.

The cooling unit of the vending machine in the hallway is quite loud, otherwise it is a very calm hostel

Really well organised hostel, compact but practical bedroom with individual bed lamps, power outlet and USB outlets by bed. Lovely hosts / family. Very clean and well equipped bathroom, showers and kitchen. Convenient grocery store across the road. Great drying room. Free shuttle to and from the ski resort.

Cash only cafe and souvenir shop. Cafe only available lunch time.

Great place. Super friendly and everything was pretty dialed. Hot showers, laundry, full kitchen and pantry storage. Not the best location for walking to or from but they will gladly shuttle you where you need to go as well as there being a bus stop within 5 minutes.

Size was cozy, beds very comfy. Friendly staff. Very clean kitchen. Perfect size to not feel like an overwhelming number of people. Drying room was a great perk.

Could use some coffee filters or a French press in the kitchen. Table and couch in the bedroom took up too much space.

Free shuttle to Grand hirafu, free miso soup, owner very generously dropped me at train station when I told him taxi was super expensive! Indian restaurant nearby and Seicomart

Sometimes heater strong other times not. Maybe just find a nice room temp for dorm.

Very clean, well equipped kitchen, heated dorm and common spaces, everything is there and very well thought through. friendly host. will definitely come back.

mattress a little on the soft side for my liking. maybe a smart tv with netflix in the kitchen/ common room would be nice.
