The property is a beautifully maintained little architectural gem in an interesting and authentic alley with local people. Being right beside the river is really cool. It was very quiet and peaceful. The morning breakfasts were amazing - a wide variety of Thai food flavours.

We like a soft bed and this one was quite firm, but that’s to be expected travelling. We used the skytrain/transit system (which was very easy to navigate) and there is a stop a short walk away. If you want to be in the heart of a tourist area, this may not be the place you’re looking for, but this was not a drawback for us as we loved seeing a more realistic glimpse into Thai daily life.

We had a wonderful stay at Siamotif. Initially we were hesitant about the location being a bit further out, but the peacefulness of the property is definitely worth it. Our room (Charcoal) was massive and luxurious, and we enjoyed the waterfront views of the longtail boats going past. Breakfast was an absolute highlight - each morning we were greeted with a different Thai dish that was delicious and beautifully prepared. Yaki was friendly, and gave us lots of helpful recommendations. We found it easy to get around via Grab and the MRT subway (Bang Khun Non station is less than 10 minutes walk away).

The most beautiful, off the beaten track guest house to stay in. Very well designed, lovely interior and authentic. Breakfast was amazing. Hosts were very kind and helpful! The area was completely local and no other tourists really apart from ourselves and others staying here - quite an experience.

The location was less central, but once we worked our way around it became easier. The air conditioning unit wasn't that cold and our room was very hot - it would have been helpful to leave the A/C on whilst we were out for the day. Bed quite hard so wasn't that comfy. No natural lighting on the lower part of the room.

The Siamotif Hotel is an extraordinary hotel, a little gem tucked away in the middle of Bangkok. The staff is just lovely and attentive, ready anytime with recommendations and helping me as a Bangkok-newbie find my way around the city. Free water is provided in the rooms, and if you do not want to go out to eat, there is a small but very fine menu offered in the hotel at affordable prices. The breakfast is traditional Thai and the staff make sure to account for any dietary restrictions of the guests. It is the sort of hotel where you come in and instantly feel at home. If I come back to Bangkok, this is the only place I will stay.

Breakfast was really FILLING ! With a beautiful view ! The whole atmosphere of the place was serene , like you were in the countryside and transported in time . Will definitely consider going back and booking a room near the river . The whole staff were so kind , so gentle and courteous .

Finding location can be very tricky ! Got a Grab Car and because the Hotel’s location is pinned INCORRECTLY in the map - the Grab car dropped me off in the WRONG Street/ Alley ! I was lost !!! It was only because of a MIRACLE - after leaving n dropping me off - my Grab driver sensed it was the wrong place and CAME BACK TO LOOK FOR ME after 10 minutes ! Really a miracle !

We stayed at Siamotif for 3 nights and it was the best part of Bangkok for us! It felt like coming home. All the staff were so so lovely, especially Yakie who was extremely helpful and treated us like family. It’s a gorgeous, old-style hotel with awesome rustic rooms, INCREDIBLE breakfast, cute cats and an iguana, and close enough to transit or a Grab car. Thank you so much to all the staff, we will recommend this hotel to everyone who visits Thailand

Nothing really, the location is a bit out of the heart of Bangkok, but that’s why we chose it.

My Room, The Porcelain Room, was absolutely gorgeous, like a little apartment overlooking the river and the boats going up and down. The place is like an old style B and B, with just six rooms run by the woman, Mai, who owns the place. She and her staff were amazing - helped me organise things to do, transport, and cooked delicious meals. The breakfast was lovely, and the dining room right on the river was a wonderful place to eat meals and chill with a beer. As a solo traveller, it was like staying with caring friends. The area is away from tourist hotspots which I loved, but was easy to wander the local streets, parks and temples and experience local people going about their lives. However it was close to river and train transport to get wherever you need to go, which staff are happy to help you navigate.

I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the incredible experience I had. It was truly exceptional in every way. We were there to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary and from the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure that I felt welcomed and valued. Their professionalism, friendliness, and attentiveness made me feel right at home. The view from my room was absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to such a stunning sight each morning was a true delight and added an extra layer of enjoyment to my stay, Special mention to Yakie, It was a pleasure to talk to her. She ensured that all our dietary requirements are met and always welcome to accommodate our request with a biggest smile!. Her warmth and hospitality made my experience even more memorable. I can confidently say that I will definitely be returning to Siamotif in the future. My stay was nothing short of perfect, and I cannot wait to create more wonderful memories during my next visit. All the spaces are lovely and the location by the canal is amazing. There are plants everywhere and the building is all wooden and beautiful with a lot of open space. We stayed in 2 different rooms and both were great for their value. The charcoal room especially has a small balcony overlooking the canal which is great. The breakfast is also excellent, it's all freshly prepared by the staff and has a good mix of western and Thai food. The highlight for us was everyone working at Siamotif. They were lovely and so nice and polite which made a great first impression on us about Thai hospitality.

We moved out of the downtown area of Bangkok to stay here for a few nights and after initially thinking it was a bit far out I’m really glad we did. It is situated in a really local neighbourhood, tucked down a small alleyway and right next to the river. It is an absolutely beautiful wooden house with a great sense of interior decoration. Our ‘porcelin’ room was gorgeous, two rooms in one basically with a balcony over the river and lots of space. The hosts and staff were so friendly and sat with us one night talking about their cats and enjoying speaking English with us. And the breakfast they provided was gorgeous too. The dinner we had one night was also delicious and well worth trying. The property is a 2 min walk the the MRT station and so is very convenient for getting up to chatachat market or down to all the major areas (with a change or 2). I thought the transport system in Bangkok was superb, cheap, clean, fast and easy to understand so we didn’t take a taxi anywhere. All in all a fantastic experience and something different to the standard hotels

As it’s in a local neighbourhood and next to the river, and close to a road and the train line it was noisy at night. But bring ear plugs and you’ll be fine.
