Hotel reception area was spacious and clean. Staff friendly and welcoming and the rooms were clean and tidy. They had all you need for a short stay, a comfortable bed, tea/coffee, place to put your clothes, hairdryer and a bathroom. The shower needed some updating but it was adequate and there was plenty of hot water. The breakfast again was hot and there was plenty to have. There were cereals as well as a full English for those who wanted one. They also had a selection of fruit and yogurts. Dinning area was spacious and clean.

The only real draw back on the room was the very bright security light outside, which even with black out curtains could not stop! There was also traffic noise as well as the odd guest who made a noise. Generally where it is situated these things you can expect, and if you need more silence then I am sure you could be placed in a more quieter part of the hotel.

All staff were more than helpful and happy to do this . Every area of hotel was perfectly clean. A little tired carpeting in downstairs entrance hall to disabled rooms but excellent service from everyone and can't wait to be able to use their service again. Thank you to (I think he was called Emmett or Emile but not sure) but never the less,all staff were more than happy to help. Thank you to them all .

Only 2 draught beers to choose from but I understand why as it probably doesn't need more with their kind of trade. This hotel was only minutes away from a very vibrant busy town center very long high street with plenty of shops .

The staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to ensure all my needs were met, adding a warm touch to the overall experience. The hotel's location is also ideal, with the main market and several great restaurants just a short walk away, making it very convenient for sightseeing and dining. Location is great, close to overground train station watford high street, atria shopping centre is close by with lots of great food choices. Safe presence in this area . Parking was great behind the property we luckily found even in the evenings when taking car out. 10 min drive to warner studios great location for that. Staff is lovely and very attentive , always willing to help with anything needed. Quiet and cute hotel , has outdoor smoking area .

Bathroom needs upgrading and needs a little TLC, bathroom door was jammed and was not closing. Windows have condensation.

The location was excellent, within walking distance of the train and many restaurants. The bed was comfortable and although the bathroom was dated everything seemed to be maintained well. The staff were friendly and quick to bring towels, milk, tea etc to the room on request.

The breakfast was absolutely awful, we were so glad we hadn't booked it for every morning. (We had paid for one morning on arrival to try it) My advice is book the hotel to stay but go to the local cafe's for breakfast. There were 2 of us staying in the room yet on arrival and each time the room was cleaned we were only given 1 bath towel, we had to call reception on 2 occasions to get a 2nd towel. This isn't a big issue but it was a bit strange that 2 bath towels weren't provided as standard.

The property was very clean! We were greeted with a warm welcome with a lot of informative information.

The only thing I would change about the property would be the bed, we booked a double room however we received two single beds pushed together which caused only a slight inconvenience as the beds were still comfortable. The bedroom itself was very modern and had great facilities! The bathroom looked slightly outdated but still clean so I can’t complain! Complimentary biscuits would also be a great option, but the tea and coffee selection was great.

It was better than basic and clean. The decor in the bathroom was dated, but nonetheless everything in the bathroom was clean including the towels and bath mats. The breakfast was sufficient and tasty, on the second morning I was asked if I wanted scrambled eggs (not the first morning). And the scrambled eggs were very tasty. There were many breakfast items to suit different types. A good central location next to Watford market and 5 minutes walk from other shopping and office locations. All the staff were polite and greeted guests with a smile and a ‘Good morning’/ ‘Good afternoon’. On my first evening, the person on reception provided a clear explanation of how to get to the hotel’s car park; it’s not obvious.

I requested a quiet room and was allocated one near the lift and the door at the end of the corridor. It could’ve been worse, but there was still the noise of the corridor door opening and closing. The car park doesn’t have many spaces and is first come first served. There was no problem parking at the time, but on other busier occasions it may be problematic. I don’t know if there is alternative parking nearby.

The hotel had a family run feel to it. The room was spacious and comfortable. The room appeared recently decorated however the bathroom was old fashioned and the suite didn't match (not that it matters), and there was new carpet being laid in the hallway & stairs during our stay. It was a 15 minute walk through the town to Watford Junction station.

It was near a busy road and although there appeared to be double glazing it was noisy. There was banging or doors in the corridors until after 1am too.

The staff were very polite and helpful, amazingly sweet, and had really good recommendations. They were very willing to help with anything and they let me know in advance about the time it would take for the refund to show up on my account after they made sure there were no incidentals. Would definitely recommend for solo travelers. The room was clean and spacious, bathroom too, the view was typical of a suburban neighbourhood. Felt safe throughout my stay.

The bedrooms were clean and the bed was really comfy! Great location for Harry Potter Studio.

The bathrooms were a bit dated but they were clean! You only got 1 large towel in a twin room, I think 2 need to be put in as standard as I have seen this in another review. The £50 security deposit which I paid on arrival has still not come back into my bank account two weeks later?!
