Da Gianni e Lucia Rooms in Catania was a wonderful place to stay. The room was spotless, and the staff/owner was incredibly caring and attentive. Located right in the heart of the town, it provided easy access to all the major attractions, restaurants, and shops. Despite the bustling piazza and street outside, the room was well-isolated and surprisingly quiet, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. This perfect blend of central convenience and tranquility made our stay exceptionally enjoyable.

The toilet made a strange noise when flushed, and the bucket outside for the AC had to be emptied manually, leading to spills on the street.

Location - on one hand perfect, because Alibus from the Airport stops just on the left and the Metro station is also there (one step to the Bus station and Railway station). On the other hand it is terribly noisy 24/7. The inside rooms might be better but my friend is smoker and used the small balcony looking to the square. Fair to say all spots are walk distance.

I really believe it would be very practical if there was at least one fridge for all premises. I wanted to buy Italian cheese for home but there was no place to store it until our departure.

Good central location. We were only here for one night, leaving early in the morning to catch a flight home, so we didn't have a chance to use the shared kitchen - but it appeared to be well equipped. The airport bus stop is only 100 metres away. Whilst we didn't meet the owner, we met the managing agent to get the keys - the only personal contact that we had in our four stays for our Sicily trip! Good English and efficient! The bed took up almost all of the room, but it was fine for our use. Visited the superb Roman Theatre (Teatro Romano di Catania), among other places.

The apartment is very close to the center, close to transport hubs (but on foot to the railway station about 20 minutes). We had the option of choosing a room and opted for a room facing the courtyard because of the silence at night. The room was large, air conditioned, bathroom fine. Only the toilet was a problem (it's very high), but it's probably typical for Sicily. The kitchen is generally available, but a little modestly equipped. However, we weren't into cooking, so we managed the brakfasts easily. The owner was very nice and helpful. He even lent us a sun umbrella as we drove to the beach. We were in mid-June and it wasn't that hot yet, although the temperatures were already reaching 30 degrees. We booked the apartment 3 months before arrival and the price was very attractive. Overall we highly recommend it and thank you Gianni for welcoming us so kindly.

The beds were made daily but the floor was not vacuumed. It became obvious after a few days. The downside, not of the apartment, but of Catania in general, was the general dirt and mess on the streets, which was very surprising.

- External soundproofing is not great, and since the square in front was very busy (it was a Saturday), you can hear people and music until late at night even with closed windows. But you can't have it all: This is a central spot. If you need a quiet place to relax, you need to go somewhere else.

Our room corresponded to the description in Booking. 50 meters in one direction is the Alibus stop to and from the airport and 50 meters in the other is Etna Street. The square below the room is very busy, but with closed windows on the terrace at night it was quiet. The equipment is basic, but has everything you need for a short stay. Communication was easy and hassle-free. The ratio of price, location and quality is reasonable. We would stay there again!

Superb location in the heart of the city. easy to find and good transport links. Metro, local buses and the airport bus very close. there is access to a well equipped kitchen which was useful., and it was quiet at night. The bathroom is huge. A friendly, helpful host.

The bedroom is quite small and made awkward by the bathroom door which opens out into the room.

The place is located at the center of the Old City and has a perfoect location. There is ALIBUS station nearby, so you can very easily reach the airport. In case you are with a car, there is a paid public parking nearby, so travel by car is also not a problem, hust have in mind that there is no other easy parking option. The price was extremely good.

Some of the rooms are overlooking a noisy part of the city, so you cannot have the window open.

Great location of the appartment. Very nice owner. We informed him about the arrival time and he met us at the door. AC, hairdryer, comfy bed. Just down the appartment Mc Cafe and McDonald's, little shop with beveriges. All the main squares are just round the corner. 1 min on foot is Sicilia Sud 1 - Alibus stop (bus to the airport). We took it at night at 5.03 am (came with delay at 5.13). Costs 4 EUR. 10 min on foot to Borsellino bus terminal and you can take a bus to the beach. Highly recommended!

Room that faces a backyard is really quiet, but dark.

We had an exceptional stay in Catania! The location was amazing, right in the centre of the centre. Our host was incredibly welcoming and provided us with numerous tips on what to do and see in the area. The accommodation was comfortable and perfect for exploring the city. Highly recommend:)
