Location! Walking distance to shops, coffee, restaurants, museums, entertainment. My room’s balcony overlooked the plaza and on Wednesday and Friday there was an orchestra that played an even concert. Also loved that a uniformed officer was standing at the door overnight. I felt very safe.
Room got hot in the morning because of the blazing sun’s heat radiating through the sliding glass door. After noon and into the night the room was cold just like I like it.

Location was amazing. Staff was friendly and helpful. Safety measures put in place to access anything past lobby. Room was simple and basic but comfortable after a day of touring Guadalajara.
After 11pm, there are homeless sleeping in the area. Unfortunately no traffic access to be dropped off right at entrance of hotel so be prepared to walk past them after a certain time.

I like how the hotel was in the heart of the city which made it convenient for us to walk many places and take the subway
I did not like how check in was such a hassle. I arrived at around 8 am in the morning. I understood it was too early for an rooms to be available. My family and I went out for breakfast. We also walked around the city for a couple of hours. At around 2:30 people started lining up to check. We were in line as well. Unfortunately we were unable to get a room till about 4 pm. It was unfortunate to have to wait almost 2 hours to get a room.

The location is fantastic, with opportunities for great photos of the cathedral and plaza from your balcony. I have stayed at many properties in the Historic zone and none have a view that begins to compare. Another plus is buffet breakfast that is included with the room. Some days were better than others, but it was good overall. Considering the location, it was fairly quiet at night for sleeping.
This had nothing to do with the hotel, other than the location. One of the nights I stayed there, a crew showed up around 5:00 AM to start assembling a large stage in the plaza, directly below the hotel. I don't normally get up at that hour when I am traveling, but there was no sleeping after their arrival. The rooms are also on the smaller side. Modern in style and nice, but a bit tight--bath has everything, but also tight. Also, there was no safe in the room, which is something that I normally utilize in hotels when I travel with a passport and a PC.

I enjoyed the location, the room and the breakfast. The staff was always nice and ready to help. I used the business centre and although small, I was able to work on my arrival. The rooms with view to the main Guadalajara plaza are a bit noisy but nothing to worry, doesn't last all night long.

Ok here we go. Take some things into consideration when booking in smack middle of Centro Historico, or any smack middle of any downtown. Noise levels may vary. You can have a peaceful night with only the bird songs. Or you can have 4 ft concert speakers set up for a festive night. That second one was us. Lol We got into Guadalajara late evening. But the time we got our rental, got food at La Chata, found parking, it was well past midnight. Parking is located about a block and a half or so away from the property. I called the front desk after driving 5 laps around the cathedral. The young lady I spoke to was very helpful and patient while she helped me locate the parking. (In front of the big green head) The wife, my 4yr old son and I made our way to the property. Walked past the cathedral and plaza de armas over to the hotel. Walk wasn't bad at all. Staff greeted us as soon as we approached the door. We reached the lobby and the receptionist was quick, friendly and helpful. At first we thought we had no power in the room but one must enter the room card into the slot and the lights come on. Card also stays in there so it's helpful so one doesn't misplace it. We had a one bed with a majestic balcony view. (Pic on MarksteadyTv ig) In the middle of the plaza there was a night crew setting up a stage..noise level not too loud..then came the huge quad 4ft speakers,then.."Probando!!! Un dos un dos tres..probando!!" Then Some daft punk loud enough that it was as if we were at an Electric Festival. We didn't mind it cause...Daft Punk, The view if the huge glorious cathedral in front of us..and our tired 4yr old was knocked out and never woke up. The music and testing went on and off for about an hour. Nothing crazy The morning view is just something you have to go and wake up early to witness for yourself. Absolutely stunning. And chilly. The bed was good. I like a more firm mattress so it worked. Check out was quick and easy

Room had good view over the square. All facilities worked. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Staff were helpful and friendly. Great location in the centre. Tea and coffee on tap.
Lifts a bit slow. Sometimes not enough cutlery and plates at breakfast.

Location
We booked a tour at the front desk and was told to be in the lobby at 9:30 am. Got to the lobby at 9:29am and our tour bus never picked us up. Had to walk to the location/office where they sent us on an Uber to our bus. As we waited in the lobby I asked multiple times about our pick up and was told that yes we should continue waiting.
