The place was amazing. Great breakfast choices and setting, the rooms were thoughtfully designed and the pool was perfect for a little swim. Very peaceful surroundings of nature and we even got a little surprise visit from a monkey family that brightened our already good day. We would definitely revisit if we have the chance. The location is not walkable from the beach, which was not a problem for us since we had a car and it shouldn't be a problem since the hotel provides multiple options but maybe this information will be useful for someone. It is very close though. We saw many people using a bike, which was nice.

There were some issues with the hot water in one of the rooms, which got resolved extremely fast nonetheless.

Lovely place to stay in Ao Nang; just a short ride to Ao Nang beach centre. They do free shuttle ride from hotel to Ao Nang beach and return every 2 hours. The rooms are on a lake with nice view. The room was clean and comfortable. Service was fabulous; a special birthday cake and wishes from staff was very nice suprise for my wife. The breakfast was so delicious. We had fun kayaking and feeding the fish in the lake. There are a lot of monkeys, but they never harm us.

The staff are incredible. Always willing to help you out with a smile. Inc taking us to the local 7 Eleven when we arrived late which was a nice touch. We were travelling with a 2yr old and a 4 yr old and they were just so great with them. The pool area is nice, although the pool itself gets a bit warm in the afternoon, but not much you can do about that in the heat. The area of the resort is really nice. The walkway from the main complex to the accommodation was lovely, very green and jungle feel to it. There were plenty of free shuttle buses and only 200 baht if you wanted to pay for one outside of those. The villa location around the lagoon was just awesome - even with the cheeky monkeys - but they just added to the vibe.

There was really not very much to not like. Only thing I would say is that the breakfast selection was really quite odd at times! Pasta with pesto and chicken wings I just didn't expect to see :D Not enough fresh fruit in my opinion. I would have been happy with a banana and some mango and sticky rice.....not chicken stew :P Also you can't order anything between 10am-11am, even water or coffee/tea, which was a bit annoying But minor grievances all in all

Everything about this resort is impeccable. The breakfast is exceptionally good, a really good breakfast. All the staff were eager to please and the porters took great delight in driving you in a golf cart to your room if it was raining. A really cheerful and friendly place. You can purchase a water bottle filled with fish food and feed the fish off of the balcony and the monkeys are lovely and curious, They will trash your balcony if you leave any food and one decided to eat the cover off my Vietnam book ! They were lovely and I would sit on the balcony smoking a cigarette and they would be no bother, just keep food away. They come at sunrise and sunset. All in all the Poonsiri is by far the best place I have stayed here in Thailand. A real pleasure. Locally there is the Natin Spice garden and the goat farm, which was very charming. The shuttle service every two hours to the Landmark is superb and the porters were really helpful and knowledgeable of the local area. I learned a lot from them. Enjoy your stay !

There was nothing I did not like.

We spent 12 dream days in this fantastic resort, hard to match anywhere in the world. The location itself is extremely exotic and peaceful, it benefits from an exceptional natural setting (exotic vegetation and huge rocks covered with vegetation in the background), the resort was outside the town of Aonang, the staff is very, very attentive, responsive and kind, the apartment it's very spacious - 72 square meters and well laid out, the extremely cute monkeys that walked around the resort every day looking for food, the monitor lizard, the terrace on the lake, the very cute fish that the kids fed, the pool and the pool facilities , including the bar and grill, kayaks for a leisurely ride on the lake. A big plus is the free round trip shuttle from the resort to Aonang town center every two hours starting at 9am and ending at 7pm. In particular, Nuna and Jahja, but also the other girls at the reception, were very kind and a real help, when I needed information for all the activities and excursions we did in Aonang. I recommend this resort with confidence, it will not disappoint anyone. It's a fabulous location that deserved more than a 10. Anytime, I would love to come back to this paradise on earth.

I liked everything!!!

Idyllic location, by the river and surrounded by forest and overshadowed by two large mountains. It is far away from the town, but shuttle service is provided every 2 hours (9am to 7pm). Taxi costs around 120-200 baht one way if you want to travel outside of these hours. Room was of good size and Clean. Two bottles of water provided each day. Breakfast was continetal with some thai dishes, different dishes offered on different days, stale pastries but muffins were OK. Food in restaurant was tasty, prices similar to restaurants in the city. Lovely swimming pool, towels provided. There were monkeys around jumping on the patio roof around 6am each day, natural alarm clock I suppose. They are not aggressive unless you carry food on you - be warned. Overall, our stay was very positive, we loved the location, the food OK, but the hard mattress and noisy neighbours has taken a star away from otherwise perfect review.

We had arranged transfer from the airport to the hotel (700baht ) . The driver was 40 minutes late after we called twice. The reception didn’t do anything to rectify the situation after we arrive.

It is a nice location due the thing it have a different perspective than the usual beach resorts in Thailand. We have enjoyed a lot the monkeys even if it is clearly that it must pay a little attention about them because they want to steal stuff, especially food. We stayed in a individual villa with two connected rooms that was nice and enjoyed by our boy because like this he had his own room. The food at the restaurant is average but is fair priced and at your disposal until 11 pm. The breakfast is average as well. The room was cleaned daily. Good air condition system in the rooms. Swimming pool ok, with pool for kids, too. Most of the people there were nice and helpful. Overall I think it was a fair price for the services so for this I recommend this place.

At arrival nobody could help us with the luggage. One day, when we wanted to take the shuttle bus to the center, we were left behind saying there is no space in the car and will return for us, even if we were waiting like all other persons with a 4 years old boy. I did not like this situation and I think with a little child it was inappropriate. We have waited another half an hour to come back for us. So the main think that I could say it is a lack of attention about a family with a little kid in some situations: check in and during the stay. But, overall, it is a place good to stay if you know and accept that could happen something like this.
