I love how intimate the hostel is, and the owner Charlie was so welcoming and friendly. I met so many lovely people at the hostel, and I can't wait to be back in Perth, I would highly recommend and definitely stay again it was a bonus having the free breakfast included.

Overall the hostel was great, I do feel like a duster would be great, as there were a lot of cobwebs in the room I was staying in, the rooms need freshening up a bit, but apart from that it is a great hostel to stay at.

The location and the facilities

the entire place was riddled with threats of eviction if the thousands of rules of the owner were not followed. I get the need for instructions to the tenants here and there. Maybe try not phrasing them as threats. I'm sure most people will do what they are asked, particularly people who are used to the sort of communal living of motels. I get that rules are important but surely there must be a better way of going about it. Overall the place was ok though. Maybe I'm used to European motels that have more of a chill vibe.

It is for long stayers mostly, so really nice community feel. Big kitchen and everyone gets a basket. Tv and netflix provided. There is one male and female bathroom with 2 toilets and showers and 2 private bathrooms but free to use when unoccupied. There are washing machines available for use, and big patio. I slept in a room of 6, bottom bunks get a curtain. I really enjoyed the stay, bathrooms were quite clean, much cleaner than William hostel for sure. For breakie you get a toast (wide choice of bread) and spread - chocolate, jam and peanut butter + hot drink. The staff let me check in at 10 am cause my bed was ready which was really cool. Also lockers are big, my suitcase fit in nicely. There is also plenty of shelf space that each bed gets

I only stayed for one night so I can’t really think of any inconveniences

I absolutely loved my stay at this hostel! The location was unbeatable—right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always going out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed. The dorms were clean and comfortable, and I appreciated the privacy curtains on the beds. Great vibes and an excellent choice for solo travelers!

This hostel had one of the best atmospheres I've ever experienced! The common areas were cozy and perfect for meeting other travelers, which made it super easy to make friends. The kitchen was fully equipped, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly. Highly recommend for those who enjoy a social and lively environment!

The communal areas were thoroughly cleaned on a regular basis and I definitely think it’s one of the cleaner hostels around. The staff and owner were really nice and helpful, great to chat to. Would really recommend staying here

Despite the communal areas being so looked after, the dorms and private rooms could do with a more thorough clean.

the property felt super safe and was in a good location to the city centre. the facilities were great. kitchen and bathrooms were clean and our room was perfect (we booked a double room) there is also laundry facilities, a tv, and a great outside courtyard area. but the best part of the hostel is the staff. they are so super friendly. Charlie goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable and happy. anything we needed, he was able to help us. if you’re looking for a hostel in Perth book this one!! thanks Charlie and the team :)

nothing! just wish we booked longer to stay!

I had an amazing experience at Shiralee. Staff is super friendly! Dorms are fantastic. Comfy Beds and free towels and also free breakfast. Kitchen has everything you need to cook. Common areas is good to connect with other people aswell. I can only recommend.

The water pressure for warm water in the shower could be better. Everything else was good.

clean room, kind staff, breakfast provided, nice roommates

my bed is the bed on the top of two level bed. just under the air con (< 50 cm). The air con on and off every 3 mins and the cold wind blows my face. I can't really sleep well. But I think the other beds in this room don't have this problem. but except this, everything else is totally great.

Said here two times back in November. It’s a great place to stay. Outside of the CBD but only 10 minutes to get to the lively Northbridge area. Had a great time staying here on both occasions the owner Charlie is very welcoming and is a really nice guy. All the other staff are just nice and friendly. Rooms are comfortable and clean. We had a twin room and a bed in a dorm. Both where what you needed. Space for all your gear. plenty of plugs and ceilings fans for the hot summer days and nights. The place has lots of amenities, Apple TV, Xbox, Computers, Laundry and outdoor spaces. They do semi regularly free nights such as hot dog night and pizza night which are good as it brings everyone in the place together. The laundry service here is good can get busy at times though, like the shower. Need to time it well. Would definitely stay here again.

Nothing major. At times the kitchen and inside communal areas can be busy and cramped. Likewise the showers and bathrooms. But if you time yourself right then you’ll be fine.
