The Sentido Amounda Bay Hotel offers good value for the money, with excellent facilities. You can choose from three different pools, each with its own unique atmosphere. The rooms were comfortable, and room service was provided daily. The hotel also has a tennis court available for booking free of charge, with equipment available to borrow from reception. The view from the court was amazing during sunset. It wasn’t really used by guests during our stay, and the hotel doesn’t seem to promote it, but I see it as a great bonus—perfect for spending some fun time with your travel companions. The all-inclusive food was decent, though it lacked variety over time. The beach is a short walk from the hotel, offering free sunbeds and a private beach bar as part of the all-inclusive package, though the selection is smaller compared to the pool bar. The location is okay, though there isn’t much within walking distance. However, a bus stop right outside the hotel provides easy access to Heraklion, the airport, and other areas.

I strongly criticize the hotel's handling of sunbed reservations. Guests reserve sunbeds by placing towels on them early in the morning, even though they do not return for several hours. Despite multiple signs and a notice in the room manual stating that staff will remove unattended towels, the hotel and its staff appear indifferent and do not seem to care, which negatively impacts the overall guest experience and service.

The staff were very welcoming and warm. Everyone, from the reception, to the restaurant and bar and to the cleaning ladies, they were all exceptionally friendly, smiling and nice. There were no questions or problems they could not address quickly and efficiently. The room was quiet and clean, overlooking a semi-private pool (which we had not booked). The all-inclusive meals were both varied and delicious, to cater for both local and international tastes. The chef de cuisine graciously took time twice to cook exclusively for our very fussy eater. The pools were surprisingly different, both in size and in depth. The beach (a five-minutes walk away) was a bit difficult to find on the first day, but it wholly made up for that with the service of the personnel. Our children loved the sea. This hotel is the best travelling experience we have had on the Mediterranean. The local public transport was reliable and easy to use (no taxis from or to the airport were necessary). The lovely people of Crete made us feel cherished and grateful to have met them. Thank you all for making our stay with you a wonderful experience.

Crete and Greece in general are still learning the concepts of (NOT) littering and recycling, but they will get there, I am sure. The hotel was on the spot even in this regard.

This property is very well kept - clean, really great and friendly staff, well organized. The pools are really nice and the beach club and bar just a short 5-10 min walk away. The AI food options are great with a lot of variety. Bus stop right outside the hotel that takes you easily into Heraklion.

Really just small details: A gym would be nice (you can use one in a hotel down the road, but the gym there isn't great either). The dining hall is pretty noisy and lacks some athmosphere. The AI drinks (beer, wine, cocktails) are pretty bad quality.

We enjoyed staying at the newly renovated building, which provided a significant improvement from the older accommodations. The updated interior was modern, comfortable, and clean. The housekeeping service was thorough and included daily cleaning of the room, changing towels, and providing a bottle of water. The food at the main restaurant was buffet-style with breakfast (07:30 - 11:00), lunch (12:30 - 14:30), and dinner (18:00 - 21:00). There was a wide selection of dishes with vegetarian and some vegan options available. The snack bar near the main restaurant (11:00 - 17:00) offered additional options like salads, burgers, and ice cream. Access to the private beach and pools was a highlight. Pool chairs were regularly organized and both of the big pools had bars with music and options for drinks and snacks. Entertainment at the hotel included daily live music shows in the evening (expect for Friday and Sunday). There was also a massage area located near the main restaurant (not included in the all-inclusive package). We would like to express our gratitude to the wonderful receptionist Michaela for her warm and welcoming presence, exceptional service, and kind gesture of allowing us to check out one hour later. It truly made our stay unforgettable to be able to continue enjoying the hotel amenities, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, along with access to the pool and a room to freshen up before our late flight. Thank you for your hospitality and attentiveness to our visit.

Although bedding is not changed regularly, they accommodated our request promptly. While the food variety was good, some dishes were repeated and could have been warmer. Despite the bar and comfortable umbrellas and sun loungers at the private beach, our experience there was hindered by the rocky shoreline and windy conditions. Even though reserving sunbeds at the pool was not allowed, people would still do it. So, if you want to secure a spot at the pool, make sure you leave a towel as early as possible.

All the staff were professional and friendly. The food was amazingly good, not boring at all. Pool sides were kept very clean. I had the room with the pool, and the furniture's were modern. The hotel is extremely clean. The bed was like sleeping on clouds, and the room was comfortable. It was very comfortable. Beach is close by, and amenities are close to walk to and back. Great tours in the area pick up and drop off close to the hotel. It's a very relaxing atmosphere with massage at the pool side. After a long day of tour, I booked a massage, and the service was amazing. I would definitely recommend this hotel all-inclusive, and I will be visiting again soon.

A cheerful and friendly staff who were only too happy to help. Very clean at all times especially in the dining areas. The food was amazing, lots to choose from - all inclusive and left overs not used the next morning. Minimal queues at the bar with a wide selection of drinks as part of the package. Plenty of sun loungers around the pool with many more on the beach. Snacks at the beach not as good as the snacks at the hotel. Couldn’t fault the food at the hotel.

The steps in the large pool rather than using the step ladder was a great advantage. Not keen on using the step ladders to climb out of the pool.

This resort is amazing!! We loved the all-inclusive food and drinks. The food was delicious and there was so much variety. Good selection of drinks too. They also had a snack bar open during the day which was included too. The staff were wonderful and the facilities outstanding - great pools. The staff even decorated our room as it was our honeymoon - so lovely and thoughtful.

Everything was perfect! But the location isn’t really near a town - you need a car (which we had, but something to be mindful of).

We were very pleased with our stay. There were 2 swimming pools in the hotel area and the area itself was large, clean and beautiful. Although the hotel was located away from Heraklion, there were many shops, car rental places, restaurants and the beach nearby. In addition, it was very easy to get to the hotel from the airport by bus, the stops were in front of the hotel. If you want to rent a car, you can park it in front of the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was cleaned every day, towels were changed and a bottle of water was also brought to the room. Every other day there were performers in the evenings. We had all-inclusive accommodation and found something to eat every day from a large selection. It was possible to eat in two main restaurants. Guests with all-inclusive accommodation were provided with 1 free meal at the al a carte restaurant, which we also took advantage of on the last night. We recommend everyone to eat there, because the food is delicious and the waiters are great.

Even though the hotel rules stated that places by the pools should not be reserved, everyone did it. Therefore, if you want to be by the bigger pool, you should book your place with towels before 8 o'clock, because after that there were no free places. On two days, the water in the hotel disappeared for a couple of hours in the evening. In the last few days, a lot of ants appeared in our room. But these were little things to us and we would visit the hotel again!

The overall stay and welcome were amazing. The staff is very good, the attitude from check in (which was very late) to check out (which was very early) was perfect. Some things exceeded our expectations like bathrobes & slippers in the room or sandwiches late at night when we arrived. We had a really good time. It's about a 15 min walk to the sea, but it's a nice chance to walk after all inclusive:) There are free beach loungers and there are luxury ones near the bar I would say - soft and with curtains also free for hotel guests, we liked them a lot. The food was good, but there was always something very tasty and something average - not so stable for all of it. As we had a late flight no buses were going from the airport (they work till 23 as I remember), so we got a taxi, no apps unfortunately, I tried to find some service on the internet, but it all was for beforehand booking. We went to the left from the airport exit and there was a taxi stop and it was no problem to get one as there was already a queue of them. For the way back we took a bus - the stop is just near the hotel to the right (but you need to buy your ticket beforehand in the shop on the other side of the road, only cash). The impression from the hotel left was really good and I can recommend it completely. Though if you like warm sea, maybe think twice or you can always hire a car to travel to other parts of an island.

We came at the beginning of October and the sea was too cold for me, though there were always people who were swimming. I couldn`t force myself in for a couple of days. What surprised me the most is that the water in the pool was somehow the same grade of cold. Almost no one was swimming. When you can't swim in the sea, you usually think you can rely on a pool, but unfortunately not. There was also some smell in the bathroom, but we didn't spend much time in the room, so we didn't even report it

We went in May and it was amazing, Zoran was great, he parked our car right in front in the shade every day. Great food choices. Everything was super clean. All inclusive package is great! Staff is helpful, Nikos bartender is making perfect drinks in the lobby bar. There was no need to leave the hotel. Thank you for great stay!

We had loud neighbors upstairs that loved dragging their chairs all night long. Other than that nothing was wrong.
