This is a great hotel, with a special round architecture. Rooms are on the first floor in a circle. Spacious rooms, with comfortable beds, balcony, good wifi, elevator, lounge and terrace area. Staff are very nice and helpful. There's a very good pub and restaurant on the ground floor, to the side facing the river, so a good place to spend the evening. Bicycles can be stored safely. Tip: It's good to get the rooms facing the street, i.e. South, S-E or S-W. Must: take advantage of the huge spa/pool/wellness center, just a 3 minute walk away. The parks at the back of the hotel and on the other side of the street are also really nice and relaxing for a stroll. Downtown is very close by, just over the bridge. Overall great value for money.

A water boiler / tea kettle in the room would have topped it.

Nice hotel on an island, very close walking distance to the historical centre of Győr. We had a spacious nice and comfortable room on the second floor. It is a very nice location (1km walk from the train station) and good value for money.

The only minor point is the fact that the rooms on the first floor have their balconies directly under the windows of the rooms on the second floor. This can be noisy if people use their balconies on the first floor and talk late in the evening there (for example on a warm summer night). However, the rooms have AC and if one closes one's windows there also is no noise issue from below. Only if one switches off the AC and sleeps/prefers to sleep with open windows, this may be an issue in some cases.

This is a wonderful place. Positioned on an island in the river, they have given it a ship theme, which runs throughout, from the cannons on the patio outside, to the boat-shaped eating area we had dinner in, to the old nautical maps in the breakfast room in the morning. The staff were lovely. We were in a hurry to get to a concert when we arrived, but needed to eat, so the receptionist went and ordered our food for us whilst we went upstairs to get ready. Dinner was great. Peter in the restaurant was very welcoming and friendly and the food was great too. Everyone spoke excellent English. Breakfast in the morning was a cooked breakfast with sausages and scrambled eggs. Our room was clean and presented nicely. It had a lovely large balconey outside which had a view of the river and the hill on the other side where Gyor old town is situated, which was very pretty. The location also could not be better. It was literally a 5 minute walk into the old town, so we could just leave the car in the hotel parking and come back and get it later. This place is perfect for staying in Gyor, both in terms of price and what you get. You cannot do better.

The music in the breakfast room, a mixture of what seemed to be an electronic take on 1930s swing, might have been very welcome about 12 hours previously in a bar in town, but was possibly less so on a Saturday morning! I do love swing and jazz generally, but perhaps something calmer and more traditional, Ella Fitzgerald or something like that, might have been easier on the ear at that time in the morning!

This was a nice place for us, comfy and in the center of Gyor. Staff was nice and friendly.

We had a dog with us, so we had to pay an extra fee of 20 euro for him + parking + city tax, and in total it was almost double than the price of the room. So take this into consideration when booking here while having a pet. And on the rules for pets it's said that if the room needs extra cleaning for your pet you have to pay again a fee, extra of those 20 euro. It wasn't the case for us, just letting others know.

Nothing bad

One of our lovely pla es to stay in Hungary as we often travel through to our holiday home in Bulgaria. The food is excellent and very attentive staff. The only criticism would be the upstairs rooms slightly congested with no balcony as with the guests below. All in all, will always go back....downstairs

This location was a pleasant surprise, the building itself is very beautiful, very close to the city center, big room, very clean, all rooms have a huge balcony. Staff is very friendly, breakfast was delicious, standard options with a hot meal (eggs, sausages) or cold ( cheese, salami, yogurt, musli). The restaurant is very nice, with affordable prices and huge delicious portions. I liked this location and will consider it for my next stay.

It is hard to find a parking spot in the evening because there are many people coming to the restaurant and there are no designated places for those who stay at the hotel, but the receptionist told us to park anywhere and it will be safe, after dinner and a walk through the city we found an empty lot and moved the car there.

The staff at the hotel was very friendly, the place was clean, the bathroom was well-equipped. The location was very good, in the city center and also not far from the train station, the room had a TV and a terrace with a nice view.

The Internet could be better. The street outside was a bit noisy around midnight.

The room was quite big and had a balcony. Clean and well prepared. Location is just at the corner of downtown. You can enjoy your stay there. Breakfast and parking extra charged.

Parking fee. When I check and filter "Free Parking" it looks like that. Then when you check out hey ask 9 Euro for parking.

Beautiful house by the river. Close to everything. Nice with shared terrace. Only stayed one night. The room was large and pleasant. Double bed of the old model of trees. Very comfortable.

The stairs nothing for me unfortunately no lift. We missed a kettle in the room.
