The pool was very nice and never too busy (at least during my stay) The room was lovely with a view of the city, which was a bonus. We could watch the sunrise and set. It was also extra large with a separate room with table, chairs, fridge. This was nice since my husband likes to read late and I tend to go to sleep early. Breakfast had a very wide selection, lots of fresh fruit and vegetables as well as eggs, sausages, bacon, cereals etc. The coffee machines made good, strong coffee-:)

The free wifi was a bit unstable from our corner room, but this is not a big problem, The wifi was stronger in the second room and in the breakfast restaurant.

The breakfast provided at the Ambasador Premium adjacent had an enormous range of good quality choices. The evening meal which I had in the same restaurant was also very enjoyable. The bathroom and shower were well equipped. The bed was comfortable. The location was convenient for tram stops although the road was a race track. I was fortunate to have a room at the rear of the hotel. Tea making facilities in the room was a pleasant surprise. Staff were helpful.

The pillows were too soft for me. The air conditioning was a little strange and was partially controlled from the reception area. I could not get a cool temperature with a low fan setting.

The hotel is well-located, has a (paid) parking place underground, swimming pool is an advantage when staying with children, breakfast was nice.

Attention to detail. I do not request much but if a booking is for 4 persons, and the standard room is for 3 people, assuming that the small child is sleeping with parents, I expect to find an extra pillow at least in the closet the same as an extra towel. This is a marketing textbook example about treating clients as cash flow.

I was injured in a bus accident when staying at this hotel so my initial stay was prolonged by another 6 days. A special shout out to Damian and Isabella at the front desk, Iga who worked in housekeeping, and Lucasz, Katarina and Zvetlana in the restaurant who were helpful during a very difficult time.

Need to have a wheelchair available for guests. Restaurant needs a bit more variety on the lunch/dinner menu. There were only a couple of things that I could eat from that menu because of my food allergies.

The water from the shower tub/sink was going away slowly. Not a big deal for us since we stayed 1 night only, but plumbing should have been checked before. What I disliked and found not making any sense was the intentionally made jagged/bumpy surface at the entrance/exit of the underground parking. Driving down is manageable but when I tried to slowly drive up, my car just stalled halfway because of the surface and I had to carefully roll it backwards and then drive up over the bumps/jaggies at a higher speed.

(Lodz police deserve all the respect in the world PLEASE READ FURTHER DOWN.) Hotel has courteous staff. Exceptional breakfast in huge dining hall. Lift, perfect for mobility impaired. Mall 2min walk. Tonnes of shops and food court, Liddel etc. Not too far from main Bus Terminal, about 8 min drive. Check for Lodz Marathons...they disrupt traffic - including route to the bus terminal. Passengers missed buses, other buses cancelled. Total nightmare and chaos. Taxis were cancelling on me for 45min before someone told me the reason. Read on... So yesterday, 16th April I was stuck - NO vehicles allowed to the terminal. I begged police manning the road blocks, to help me - I kid you not. They did, taking pity on an old crying woman with wheelchair and escorted me through the roadblocks. Kudos to the Lodz police. Wouldn't accept payment at all. Can't thank them enough.

In hindsight, Lodz Tourism should make hotels inform guests of traffic disruptions - no ifs no buts. Tiny fridge TV Polish programs apart from few English news channels which repeated SAME stories over and over... So, NO SMART TV.

The reception staff were very nice and helpful. The hotel was clean. The rooms were spacious. It is within walking distance to the shopping centre Gazela, fairly close to Piotrkowska Street, and the tram was close. There was a variety of bread, cakes, salads, eggs, meats, cereals, and juices for breakfast.

There were no chicken or beef sausages or salami for breakfast (only pork).

The hotel, the room, the service, the restaurant were all nice.

We stayed here for 1 night in order to also visit the SPA center but realized it works only from 9 am till 9 pm without informing that on the description. We learnt the working hours only upon arrival to the desk. It made impossible to visit SPA late in the evening as well as in the morning.

Very good standard for very good money.

We come in winter, in spite of this, our hotel room was too hot, it was not possible to reduce temperature effectively (neither by window or nor bz air condition) under cca 23 Celsius. It was quite unpleasant specialy during the night.
