Location of the hotel.It is located uphill in a small forestry city. We had a 1 night layover, driving from Ohio to DC. Room was spacious n clean. Housekeeping N reception staff were friendly.

Breakfast could have been better. There were only cut potato's and soggy French breadsticks on warmer. No eggs,no bacon nor sausages. Coffee N hot water was barely warm. The dining area was understaffed,as there was only an elderly man in the back kitchen,who rushed to change the coffee N hot water ASAP, after we had alerted him. Not being picky,but breakfast was really disappointing.

Breakfast was very good, coffee was great. Noticed that the little lady, Donna(?), who maintained the breakfast area was a non stop, hard worker who was constantly keeping everyone happy. Such a gem. Last year when I first stopped here she was just the same, hasn't changed. I will definitely stop here again on my way from MI to DC.

I liked everything about the place. But if there is anything I would change it would be to have a faucet with more of a reach over the bathroom sink. Right now it is very difficult to just wash your hands under the water spout it is so close to the side of the basin.

This is the third time we have stayed at this location while visiting our son at WVU and each time we have enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very clean, we enjoy having the pool and the gym available, and especially enjoy being able to have a fresh and healthy breakfast to start the day.

The only thing I would say with this trip as compared to our other two stays was that we stayed on the first floor this time and I didn't enjoy the room layout as much as I did on the third floor where we stayed both other times. Having the couch area to sit and read while my husband watched tv in the upstairs rooms was much more comfortable then the small chair with the reading light on the first floor.

Quiet location…….kids enjoyed the snack bar open all night with the front desk and i enjoyed not having to drive to find a store at 2am since we left the hospital. Loved the breakfast bar as well and the cleaning lady was really sweet

Figured I’d let the kids use the pool before we checked out and only downside was the flooring around the pool was extremely slippery…..I fell and my son fell as well just walking to get a towel from getting out of the pool and we also witnessed another little girl slip and fall twice in the hour we spent at the pool……rubber or grooved flooring of some sort would make it better than feeling like you’re walking on ice but other than the flooring we loved everything else about the hotel

The continental breakfast was very enjoyable and had a good variety of selections. The bed was very comfortable.

There should be towel racks and a fan in the bathroom. We were surprised not to see these items. The room remained chilly, despite adjusting the thermostat. The time on the clock in the room was about 15 minutes fast. It would be helpful to have the time reflect accurately or to be able to set it for the correct time. Neither was possible. We had a difficult time getting to the hospital on Tuesday morning because of icy travel, particularly the steep descent from the hotel. What should have taken 10 minutes became a 30-minute drive. We will probably stay at a hotel closer to the hospital the next time since our next visit will be in winter.

All the staff was very nice, very clean room and great location. Ryan at the front desk was really nice and so was the older gentleman, in breakfast. But one person that I would like to talk about was Laura at the front desk. She was so Great at her job, very polite and one thing that makes her stand out, is how she takes the time to get to know her guests and find out how their stay is, if they need anything during their stay and what brings them to town. Those are traits in employees, that you seldom find anymore. When I use to run hotels, I would have truly enjoyed having more employees like Laura and I want to Thank You, for having her at this property. We travel a lot to Morgantown, to see my grandson and because of Laura’s unique personality and professionalism, we will definitely be returning to this property again. Please Thank everyone for us, for a Great Stay and especially Laura and I hope she is compensated very well on her pay and job title, because she deserves a raise and a promotion. Thank You all again.

Not really anything, it was a Great Stay.

Love the room layout at this location as it is very quiet at night. Even though a number of families from a huge local girls' softball tournament and several families involved in a swim meet were staying in the hotel, it was still quiet at night.

Wish the pool didn't close at 10:00pm. After running around most of the day to move and organize my son's new apartment at WVU, we didn't make it back in time to cool off in the pool. And we REALLY could have used it with the heat.

The property was very modernly designed, clean, and looked overall very nice especially for the price. There was one woman specifically that I would like to mention and I am really surprised she isn’t manager or even higher on the chain in this hotel because her customer service skills were the best I’ve ever dealt with. She was kind and welcoming, she treated us very very well our entire time at the hotel. Her name was Laura Moore she worked the front desk. She was exceptional at her job I’ve never dealt with a more friendly and overall professional front desk clerk at any of the hotels I’ve stayed in.

I can honestly say there wasn’t a thing I did not like about my stay here.

We stayed at two different Holiday Inn Express facilities before we stayed at La Quinta. Neither of these hotels were up to their usual standards. We decided to try a La Quinta and were very pleasantly surprised at the difference. From now on, we will always look for a La Quinta!! The lady at check-in was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The room was clean, and the heater and exhaust fan both worked! An overall great experience!

The variety of breakfast items was good, but there could have been more selections (fresh fruit, oatmeal, etc.)

The staff is friendly and attentive. The lot, lobby, hallways, and room are all clean, and also modern and pleasant. The beds are comfortable, the bathroom is spacious, and the TV and Wi-Fi function without issue. The location for getting to the Coliseum, Performing Arts Center, or Mountaineer Field is good, if that's what you are in town for. It's also close to restaurants, grocery stores, and other shopping. Considering the price for a room, the quality of the space, and the location, this is the best deal in Morgantown.
