This is an excellent hotel and the food and service are very good. The hotel is very conveniently situated, a couple of minutes away from Las Cucharas and 5 minutes away from the restaurants and bars. The swimming pool area is very nice but quite confined and space is taken up by quite a few double beds for sunbathing. They are large and accommodate two people in space that would allow for three or four sunbeds which are much needed. On booking we requested a room that is not on the ground floor and we got it. Moreover, we got a room with sea view at no extra charge as it was my birthday. Very nice touch! The evening entertainment in the Champs bar was very good. The infinity pool is lovely and very relaxing. The drinks are very good and food is fresh, tasty and plenty of choice. This was our 2nd stay and we will return.We had an excellent stay and can recommend this hotel.

6am pretty much every single sunbed is "reserved" by the hotel guests that sometimes don't come back until midday. This is unacceptable. I've recently returned from holidaying in another hotel and what I've noticed was that every morning, people from management team will walk around and leave a note under the towels. I'm not sure what was written on them but I'm assuming was a friendly reminder that no-one should "reserve" a sunbed by leaving their towel on it. I could notice straight away that is working as there were plenty of sunbeds available in the days to follow. I think Barcelo could improve on that.

I loved everything. The room was beautiful, the staff exceptional. Alfonso was very helpful via email before I arrived and after I arrived. My view was amazing. I had the best time considering I travelled alone.

Bistro bar and Champs bar with amazing food and service! We are normally used to having a buffet lunch in all inclusive packages, but having a choice of two restaurants with variety of great food and available until 21:00 was so much better and we loved it! Also one of the pool is greatly situated shielding everyone from the wind which can be strong in this part of the island and has access to sunlight throughout whole day. And of course jacuzzi!!!

Sound proofing was not the best especially, we could hear people walking outside the room and water running through the pipes. People hogging sun beds with their towels and disappearing for half the day was very annoying, 60 minute rule was not enforced. Lastly although the staff was doing an amazing job and all of theme were great, it felt at times there was not enough people working resulting in everyone running around and being very busy during peak hours.

Perfectly located to bars, restaurants and the beach. The buffet breakfast is very good and the room was lovely and the most comfortable bed!

Several things, all of which didn't take away from our holiday or stay at Barceló. Firstly, the evening buffet some evenings was a bit lacklustre and we didn't like that you weren't directly seated at a table, so you had to hunt for a table and even then one of you had to stay at the table whilst the other went to get their food as someone would sit themselves down by the time you came back. Secondly, the sun bed reserving at the crack of dawn was slightly annoying, we managed to get two sun beds only once during our week stay however, we discovered that you can rent two sun loungers and a parasol at the beach for €12 for the entire day, so we done that everyday instead.

Everything about this hotel was amazing, the pools (could have been heated), restaurants, staff, the facilities, the activities. we had the best five days staying here, it was so quiet and relaxing, everyone was so friendly and the whole vibe of the hotel was just perfection. we were all inclusive and it literally meant everything was included, no hidden costs, the drinks were perfection, the champs bar and pool bar for lunch were 10/10. if you are thinking about all inclusive, do it! worth every penny

it’s so hard to fault this hotel however, the only thing we did not like was the buffet dinner, the service for drinks was amazing but the food itself got very repetitive and could have had more flavour, we had a late lunch in the bars instead of having dinner and did us well!

The property was beautifully located, great sea view couldn’t complain about that, the pool was gorgeous and I preferred the fact it wasn’t heated as when the weather is hot you need the cool water, the rooms were lovely lay out - our hot tub was in our room but I have to admit I liked this as we could get privacy and watch the sea when in it. The staff were very polite and accommodating for the most part and the breakfast was a great variety, we only went bed and breakfast and preferred this as we went out everyday to see Lanzarote.

For us the only down side was the shower, it seemed to over flow after each use so had to use all the towels to dry the floor and prevent it going into the room however to staff did give us new towels every day.

the food was amazing, the bed was so comfortable, the shower had an over head as well as a hand held shower, the activities by the pool, the service at reception was great and the rooms were quite. so close to the bars and restaurants within 2 minutes walk to the beach , loved this place as a solo traveler. I would definitely visit again. I also had a problem with my coffee machine in my room , they were there within 5 mins to sort it!!

the service in the restaurant could be improved, the tables wouldn’t always be set up with the cutlery, if you approached the room where the staff worked and asked for cutlery, instead of giving it to you, they would say they would bring to you. I could be waiting 10mins until it arrived. The attitude of the staff was inconsistent in the restaurant, one day chatting with you, the next day, like they don’t know you. i think that if you get the restaurant service consistent you could become a 5 star

To start with the location is great - only 15 minutes from the airport and very close to many bars and restaurants. Would highly recommend the market square. The hotel itself is amazing; nice bars and restaurants and staff very friendly. There are three different bars/restaurants, all with a slightly different vibe. The entertainment at the Sports Bar and B-Lounge was superb (although started a little late). The food for the breakfast and dinner buffet was fantastic. Good quality and so much variety. Not too busy either. Lunch was amazing in the Breeze bar, fabulous quality. Cocktails fantastic and lots included in all inclusive. The room was a junior suite, although this was a stretch but still big enough for what we needed and the bed was sooo comfortable. Would not recommend a room on the front or by the pool as would get quite noisy and would not be very private.

Very little to dislike but I’d definitely mention the pool, not heated at all and freezing cold! I love swimming but could only manage a quick dip. Despite the hotel having a policy against reserving sun beds, many people left towels for hours and they were never removed. This was disappointing but not too much of an issue as I was always up early to read by the pool anyway. For late risers, it might be an issue. Finally, the aircon is our room was very noisy. Take ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper.

The rooms are just amazing. Food is very good in all restaurants onsite. Very quiet at night which was good. Just a really nice hotel with all the facilities you could ask for. Left a bottle of wine in the room to mark my birthday - really nice touch.

Some small issues - balcony not covered so in wet weather it couldn’t be used. Lights had to be on to use coffee machine in the room. Drain seemed blocked in hand basin but wasn’t rectified. Water leaked through ceiling from room above us and maintenance looked at it but never came back to tell us what we needed to do.

The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The bed was really awful, the mattress was not even able to hold it's own shape... They should be renewed as soon as possible. The hotel it's quite pricy for what you got in return.
