Great location, very helpful people, I had a bunk bed which was like a capsule, they have a washing machine and dryer to use for a small fee, I was able to drop my bag off, check in was easy, the bed and everything was super clean. They run a cafe as well and I was sad that I didn't leave enough time to eat here. The location is fantastic, just 15 minutes from Nagoya castle I highly recommend visiting. Loads of shops and restaurant around. Looked like a great place to hang out.
As stated by the hostel itself and other guests: it's an old building and you can hear everything. I was wearing earplugs and barely slept. It was only one night, so I was willing to take the risk. But wouldn't recommend for light sleepers.

The futon was very comfortable and the space was overall very quiet. All the shared facilities were clean and well-maintained. The location is fantastic, as the local endoji has several charming restaurants, cafes, and other local businesses. I highly recommend seeing a kabuki play at the theater next door, as it is fun, modern, good value for money, welcoming to tourists, and you don't need to speak Japanese to understand it. There's also a FamilyMart down the street for convenience and you're near two different metro lines to get anywhere you want to go.

We stayed in the Japanese room as a group, so we had room to unpack and hang out as a group in private. We came early and left our luggage downstairs at the cafe. The futon beds were comfortable, and there was a go board to play on! It was just a short 10 minute walk to the closest station, which is connected to Nagoya station, so you don't need to walk outside too much if it's raining. The staff was all very nice and it was fun talking to people from all over.
The staff was disorganized and had not realized we would be checking in, so we had no sheets for the beds until we asked where they were. They were also loud past the start of the quiet time, chatting together in the common area until midnight sometimes. Also, be careful not to flood the shower.

The room was beautifully minimalistic! Just enough space to crawl around and store belongings while a sleep. Shared facilities were clean and offered enough space. Kitchen was a nice advantage. Location in the center close to many good restaurants and climbing gym.
There are no doors on the capsule so one may feel uneasy during sleeping. It got quite noisy couple of times during the night as there is no insulation of the capsules. The same goes for light as there is a just a curtain to close the capsule. Coffee at the main building is super expensive, and not very tasty.

I booked this hostel at last minute due to required change of plans (due to Earthquake). I was impressed with the price - approx $100 AUD for a family room for 4 - much cheaper than other places we'd stayed. At first impression, arriving into the cafe was a little unexpected, and room was small, but we had a very comfortable stay. Futons were very comfortable and linen very clean. Shower and bathroom facilities were very clean. We were able to walk to Nagoya castle and realised we could walk most of the way to the hostel from Nagoya station using underground tunnels to avoid the cold (and browse the shops). Also plenty of food options nearby. We only stayed one night and this hostel was very adequate.
Walls of room were (literally) paper thin, so noise of other guests travelled (that's what ear plugs are for).

Bed blanket and sheets were comfortable and sheet and towel changes were available. Bathrooms and toilets were clean and comfortable as well. Shared area was also nice. Great location as well.
Air conditioning in the single bed dorm room was a bit weak for me, but I also happened to be there in the middle of a heatwave. Noise from other guests can disrupt sleep in the morning if you sleep light.

I enjoyed staying at this cute, unassuming hostel. The kitchen facilities were small but had everything I needed. The hostel wasn't particularly close to any attractions in Nagoya, but was not unreasonably far from the train. Its position in a well-lit shopping street was great for solo female travellers wanting to walk around a little at night. A few hooks and racks in the capsule beds were handy. They had rules against excessive noise late at night, but offered the cafe area downstairs as an alternative for any potential midnight noisemakers. Clever idea!
The common area was a little cramped and somewhat messy - but not dirty. They only had one (paid) washing machine and dryer, and warned that the dryer took over 90mins to dry anything. Towels came at an extra cost.

The place is great! The nearest subway station is a 10-min walk away. The area also has a lots of restaurants and there is a nearby convenience store, around 1-2mins away by foot. The bed is wide, a flashlight and disinfectant was provided, and there is a small curtain for privacy. Two hooks and a hanging tray is also found inside the box bed. In the common area, there is a a sofa, books, a guitar, a dining table and a counter with seats where you can eat, work, or talk to other travellers. You can also use the refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and stove. The place also sells mineral water and earplugs for 100 yen each. In the shower rooms, there are hair dryers, a hair curler/straightener, and feminine products which you can use. Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap is also available for free. Towels are available for rent, just ask the reception area.
Walls are a bit thin so you can hear the conversations happening in the common area. Just like other hostels in Japan, there is no elevator so you have to bring your luggage up the stairs.

I stayed for the Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix weekend. I was travelling alone and the staff were very nice upon check in. Capsule dorm was clean and shower room was great. Hair dryer and straighters/curlers were available which was great for a backpacker like myself! Took about 15 minutes for me to walk to Nagoya train station. There’s a family mart 2/3 minute walk away too. Not loud at night in the area so I got a great night sleep every time. 10/10 would recommend
Nothing!

The accommodation is located in a very cute area of Nagoya, a lot of old style houses with narrow isles. The building itself is compact and small, but cozy and modern. There is a common space at the first floor (originally a bar) that is fun to hang out in.
We stayed in the triple room, which in our opinion is more suitable for 2 people only. As we stayed only one night there it was fine, but longer would have been very difficult. The space is taken up completely by the beds, therefore there is no space for stepping or putting luggage.
