Location is perfect and it's modern and stylish

There is a great restaurant that sadly I couldn't use as although the hotel is very dog friendly the restaurant isn't! With no separate area to even have a coffee or breakfast

The location is perfect if you are travelling either from or to Calais, being just off the motorway. The hotel and it's facilities are modern and provide every convenience. The majority of staff are polite and helpful, and very welcoming.

We have stayed at this hotel previously and as you will see from my 'likes' we will stay in future because of it's convenience. However, both previously and on this occasion the reception staff are reluctant to reserve a table in the restaurant for you, and usually maintain it is fully booked. In practice the restaurant has never been full on the occasions we've been there. Fortunately the Restaurant Manager always welcomes you and ensures your meal is good, but the uncertainty is very frustrating.

A good room with accessible bathroom. Good walk in shower (or roll in) with plenty of handrails and a safe seat which is rare in most French hotels. Evening meal was pleasant enough but a bit pricey.

The bed was too low - needs to be a little higher for an accessible room. Anti slip mat in shower needed it was toooo slippery. Breakfast was disappointing - we were there at 8.30 (service until 10) and the hot food (bacon, sausage and scrambled eggs) was almost empty and not replenished even though 3 serveuses were drinking coffee in the bar area (they also didn't clear used tables).

New property and perfect location for our on route stay. Next to hospital. The room was great. The restaurant was excellent, staff very friendly and helpful with language translation, the food the best I’ve had in this type of hotel, full restaurant quality. The beer served was local and excellent. Breakfast was self service and excellent variety and quality.

The only down side could be is it suited us for the one night but a building site outside and not the sort of place for a holiday stay. But that should be noticed prior to booking. Last restaurant order is 21.00hrs

We loved the room and the beautiful bathroom it far exceeding the norm in France.

The fact we had two pet dogs both labradors and were charged an additional 40 euros for both this was not advertised by Booking .com (obviously) as we had already turned a similar hotel down after they were charging a similar amount again not included in your advertisement for it.The last French Hotel close to Poitiers was only 7 euros per dog! The staff at this hotel thought the charge was excessive as even the fact that they said small to large dogs are charged at 10 to 20 euros depending on size and therefore why did they charge us the top amount for two medium sized dogs?

The hotel looks brand new and the rooms are big, and very clean. The bathroom is particularly nice. Polite and helpful reception staff. Ideal for an overnight stay before or after crossing the Channel Tunnel. The EV chargers in the parking are great - and free of charge.

The restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays which is absurd considering the hotel is not close to anything (the town of Berck is a 15-min drive). The breakfast is overpriced for what it is.

Excellent service, clean up to date rooms. Very comfortable

We booked the hotel some months ago. We waited to book a meal in the excellent restaurant until arrival as we were travelling some distance that day. However we received an email the day before after the cancellation period had expired, informing us that the restaurant was full. You did offer the names of alternative restaurants but this was not suitable for us. As it was a coach party which filled the restaurant, It would have been better to send an email at least 1or 2 weeks before to enable us to plan our trip better.

Dog friendly room. Breakfast choice good. Front desk staff friendly and efficient.

Our bed was sagging (mattress not comfortable). Would think it would be standard to have queen size beds now rather than standard double. People are bigger now so offering standard bed size is not adapted to real life anymore. Just my opinion.

We have stayed at the Semaphore a number of times before and always found it a very good experience. This time was no exception. Good room and bathroom, buffet breakfast and excellent evening meal. Easy parking and proximity to the A16 motorway. Additionally, on this occasion there was a coach party staying and eating, but impressively our service was not prejudiced by their being very busy.
