The guest house is central. If you travel by train you get off the train walk to the tram. You can buy the ticket on the team. The tram stops about 50m from the guesthouse. The food served in their restaurant is value for your money. We walked around town and it was a very pleasant place to stay for a stop over. I would use it again.

Would have liked a kettle and fridge in the room.

Very friendly staff. Very clean comfortable room. Great Breakfast. Excellent access to public transport with tramstop at front door, though only 20-25 minute walk to city centre. Great Beer garden with an excellent evening meal. Great spot to start and finish a countryside walk! My Third time here in 4 four years

Nothing to dislike

The tram stop was a short walk away " Maria Hilf Kircher". Three stops from the Hotel brings you into centre to " Oberlindenof", you can then to walk into the old town and to the Munster. Yo get to the Hotel from Basel airport you exit the airport to the French side there is a bus to Freiburg arriving at the Stadtbahnbrücke Hbf (Train Station) up the stairs above the track you will see trams running to various directions. Take the No1 direction Litten Weiller and stop at the " Maria Hilf Kircher" % stops from the station. You can buy tickets at the Station stop at other stops around the city also on some Trams. If you have a car there is space at the Hotel to park.

You had to run the hot water for some time to get warm.

This is a restaurant/hotel property. It is is a Bavarian style that is more practical than stylish. There is no elevator to the upper floors and no a.c., but the rooms come with fans and temperatures are mild, most times. Great German breakfast!

Nothing of note. Don’t expect a fancy entry or stairway to the rooms.

Within walking distance of city centre. Friendly, helpful staff.

Room (14, on second floor):- (1) needs more cupboard space, for clothes (2) missing,but essential is a rubber, anti-slip mat in the shower (3) wifi absent (4) TV had fine, large screen, but no French programmes (France is about 30 km away !), & Sports programmes were all blocked Restaurant: food somewhat formulaic (no Dish of the Day, e.g,); service slow, because insufficient staff for a a busy early July

We were able to plug in our electric car at a wallbox at the back of the hotel. The staff were very helpful in this respect. We also had an excellent dinner in the restaurant, and breakfast was good too. The room and bathroom were perfect, and perfectly clean.

Our GPS did not give clear instructions, and we ended up in a long tunnel and had to drive back and then through a lot of side streets before finding the hotel. Advice for visitors: If you find yourself approaching a tunnel, turn off to the right just before the tunnel, and Schützen is right there, in front of you. From our room we could see where we had gone wrong.

Friendly staff, nice big room with comfy beds. Only stayed one night but gladly would have stayed a few more. Great breakfast buffet. Good location - 2 min walk to the tram stop and just a short tram to the centre of Freiburg.

Our bedroom was clean and comfortable and had a washbasin. The shared bathroom was spacious, very clean and always accessible. Breakfast served in a period room was excellent. All the staff are very welcoming and friendly. Within walking distance of the town centre. Varied menu available lunch and evening.

Hotel provides continental breakfast. You have all the standard products. Also plant based milk option. I was missing vegetables to side the omlet. Location is good enough for passing by, hotel has private parking.

Entrance of the hotel is through restaurant, no clear signs. But not a big problem, you just need to ask the personell.

Lovely breakfast. Friendly staff. Spacious room. Very clean. Great location.

Don't make the mistake I made, of thinking Shared Bathroom meant shared with my family. It's shared with other rooms. This was fine and it was kept very clean; it was just a surprise.
