Great place to stay in Victoria Falls. The staff were very helpful and accomodating, the room was spacious and clean and the lookout tower and pool on site were added bonuses. It was also not too far from the falls entrance or any of the activities we did so pick up was convenient and quick. We were actually thinking about walking to the falls but it was so hot (100F+) that it was not feasible but for us if it was cooler we would have just walked. Breakfast was included with the stay and was very good. We expected a buffet style but we were actually able to order off a menu and a small buffet table of fruit, pastries, and yogurt was also available. We also had dinner one night which was good and decently priced for the area. The staff were also helpful in arranging airport transfers and also offered to book tours which we ended up booking a Chobe day tour through them which was great. Overall highly recommend this location when staying in Victoria Falls.

There were some power outage issues during our stay on our last night. The lights worked fine but all of our power outlets went in and out for a few hours. However maintenance did promptly begin looking into the issue and it was resolved by the time we woke up the next morning.

Really nice and quiet place with comfortable beds, good breakfast and the possibility to go up the lookout (you can see the water from the Falls spraying over the line of trees). I never managed to see the sunset from up there (as I was always somewhere else) but I would say the sunrise from the rooftop is even better as it's kinda over the falls). Staff at reception is very helpful, you can buy activities through them.

Just the location. It's really far from the city center and the falls, it's hot and humid, you don't even want to walk, and a taxi is 5$ (hotel charges 6$ though) to the center, which is like 2 km and 7$ for the falls which is 1km further and the same for going back (way too expensive).

Staff all so amazing!!! Couldn't do enough for us. Really nice relaxing atmosphere to the hotel, very chilled out. Only 6 sunbeds, but on days where we chilled out by the pool, never any trouble getting any!! Not many people used them really. Pool gets lots of sunshine!!! Breakfast good, good choice of hot and cold bits. Fruit salads and yoghurt, pastries, cereals etc, or cooked breakfasts Lookout was lovely, lovely views!! Food and drinks for lunch and dinner are all reasonably priced and lovely! Hotel very helpful with any reservations or bookings we needed to make always on hand for recommendations Be prepared to spend a fair bit on taxis during your stay - it's $5 to anywhere in town, the falls/dusty road restaurant/three monkeys bar. (You can walk obviously, but we always advised to take taxi) There are a selection of restaurants not far, if you want to have a try of different places! Taxis range from $5-10 each way Airport transfer each way is $30.

Went out for the night and it was very cold. When I came back I wished there was an electric blanket to warm me up. I travelled for the Vic Falls Marathon which finishes late morning to early afternoon for the 42km runners. I think they should relax their cutoff times for breakfast and offer residents alternative bathing facilities after checkout without the residents having to ask for these as a favour. It's uncomfortable

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the bed was especially cozy for a good night's sleep. The dining area had a welcoming atmosphere, and the breakfast options were excellent, offering something for everyone. The highlight was definitely the lookout tower, where you can see the mist of the falls and enjoy beautiful sunsets. A truly memorable stay!

The pool was quite small, and its proximity to the dining area made it feel a bit awkward at times, as if being casually observed.

The property offers a boutique type of environment. Very clean, lush green surroundings and amazing staff. Another thing I loved, they did not destroy indigenous trees, they built around them. Nothing to complain about. The chefs do a great job, food was delicious. Their chicken winter salad is excellent, one of the best salad I have ever tasted. I can write a book about this place. It’s one of the best places to stay in Victoria Falls. Thank you so much Shongwe Lookout Team! You are the best!

This hotel was great value, and we were allowed to enjoy all the facilities of the Shongwe Oasis, next door hotel, as well. Respecting the location being a national park, they follow some of sustainable and renewable energy practices, reducing waste and und using solar energy. Whoever designed this place was very thoughtful. You call tell that they paid attention to details. Spacious rooms, big bathroom with extra sink space, and both a tub and a shower. You don't struggle to find a place for all your daily routine products and kits. Dedicated workspace is decently sized too. The power outlet had the smart world traveller adapter. We loved the designs, especially the use of patterns and mosaic. Great colors too. The hotel restaurant was pretty good. During our 6 night stay, we didn't feel the need to find food elsewhere because the hotel food was that good (and we just wanted to relax and stop planning too). Breakfast was included. Lunch and dinner are fairly priced. The staff was extra friendly and helpful. What you see in photos is very accurate. You can enjoy the view of the Milky Way from the lookout tower at night. Would definitely book again if the road takes me back to Zimbabwe

Very minor details like use of canned beans in basically ketchup sauce in some dishes. Slightly too sweet cocktails.

A beautiful place to stay. All aspects of the lodge and rooms have been made to a very high standard. The rooms are incredibly spacious and have high quality finishes, right down to the small details. The bar/restaurant area is great and accompanied by a pool and sun loungers. The food was excellent. In particular, this was the best breakfast that we had in Victoria falls! The wifi was very good (something that can be patchy in other hotels). The staff were very friendly and helpful. The lookout tower is an amazing place to enjoy a gin and tonic while the sun is setting with an incredible view. I would highly recommend this place to anybody visiting Victoria falls, you won't be disappointed.

Property is very well maintained, good air conditioning, good furniture etc. Staff is very good and motivated, they attended to all our requirements quickly. Kitchen staff-specially chef Barnes is simply exceptional. Being 100% vegetarian, we have special requirements of food which we explained to chef Barnes. He carefully listened to us, understood and implemented our requirements at Breakfast and dinner. He is such a positive and customer centric person-he is certainly a big assett for Shongwe Look out. All support staff including front desk, waiters, support staff are very humble and respectful. Room rates are generally high in Victoria Falls and Shongwe Look-out is no exception.

They should install fans in reception and dining area as it can be uncomfortable during hot days.

Loved our room with its own balcony. The staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough to help and always smiling. The ambience around pool and gardens was beautiful.The bed was super comfortable and huge. The viewing platform was a great idea where drinks delivered by lift and you have a view of the spray of the falls from up there. Mind you it’s 60 steps to the top. Breakfast was amazing as were lunch and dinners. Food very reasonably priced.

The pool although looked great was very badly designed and in our country would not pass safety requirements. We are an elderly couple and to get in and out of pool was a nightmare, no handrail on steps. Property lacked the little touches that would make it perfect 1. No tissues in room. 2. No map of area provided at reception so you really had no idea where you were situated.3. All bathroom creams, gels ,shampoo etc are in glass dispensers and would recommend they be changed to plastic as in the shower there is nowhere to place shower gel but on a little ledge, and unfortunately being a pump operated bottle it fell and shaped on the concrete floor. Guest should be aware when booking the rooms have no fridge or TV. 3. Pool access really needs to be rectified.
