The hotel and their wonderful staff certainly exceeded our expectations. From the beginning of our journey, they were nothing but exceptional to us. We were allowed to enter and book a couple of hours earlier than their check-in time, and even offering us some free drinks while waiting up in their cosy lounge while they prepare our rooms. When we checked-in, the wonderful lady assisting us told me that they had upgraded our room for free, and we had this amazing room overlooking a part of the beach. The service in their dining area was also astounding, as the staff were all lovely and pleasant to us. The food? It was all sumptuous. I cannot forget the seafood chowder. I think I ordered that 3 times during our stay. This hotel is simply fab and has left us feeling really amazing and satisfied with our choice. We certainly recommend this wonderful place.

Nothing at all!

All rooms are furnished very tastefully , the bathroom is spacious and equipped with a minimal, very pleasant night light. Rooms service was excellent. English breakfast can be chosen daily from a menu and is freshly prepared on order. Lunch and envening menue contain all kind of meals including fish, meat and vegetarian. In addition to the constant menue a daily changed menue offers the catch of the day. Delicious! A map of Cornwall drawn on a large slade board shows that all used products are of local origin. All members of the staff were extremely friendly, attentive and courteous.

Beautiful sea view room that was spacious and very comfortable. Food was so tasty, well presented and good quality local produced used. ALL the staff we encountered were extremely friendly, polite, helpful and professional and seemed very happy.

The detail email we received before we arrived with what seemed like an endless list of rules and regulations was rather off putting and as a result we really were beginning to regret booking this particular hotel, however, when we arrived we discovered that the hotel staff were the complete opposite of the impression we had been given from the tone of the email. ALL the staff couldn’t do enough to make our stay an enjoyable and memorable one.

The ensuite room was entirely free of the little signs of wear and tear that so often elude a camera but then show up at close quarters. It was beautiful, really spacious (including the wet room ensuite), spotlessly clean, exceedingly comfortable and blissfully quiet. It was fairly advertised as a room without a view (rm no. 7), but that didn't matter because the spectacular sea view of St Michael's Mount is a few steps from the hotel entrance. Every member of staff was just lovely - especially the ladies serving (wonderful) breakfast, who exuded kindliness and unforced good nature. Nothing was too much bother, and everything was efficient without being at all in-your-face. There was a total absence of feeling hurried along as guests. We were slightly out of season, and things were about to get a lot busier, but you knew that positive vibes like these could cope and wouldn't change under pressure. We had supper in the attached Cutty Sark restaurant on two evenings. Don't be deceived by a relatively simple menu: there's somebody genuinely accomplished in the kitchen - everything is way above 'pub standard fare', belying its written description. We'll definitely be returning. Onsite parking is spacious and guaranteed. There's a lovely sitting room just across from reception. Everything works. Our room was meticulously serviced each day in our absence. It wasn't cheap, but nor was it expensive: what we paid was eminently reasonable for such a level of understated quality and honesty. Places like this are rare and show up some of the big 4-star chains in a pretty dismal light by comparison.

We liked everything. Simply nothing to dislike!

I had a very enjoyable stay, the standard double room (room #7) was rather spacious, very clean, with new good furniture and comfy bed. The bathroom was spacious and modern, with a walk in shower. It was very warm and quiet as it was facing the inner courtyard. Yes there was no good view but it was explicitly mentioned in the room description and to be honest, you don't really need it as you are only a few steps away from the beach. The staff was very professional and friendly, my suitcase which I left at the reception in the morning of the arrival day was already in the room when I checked in. I asked for a take away breakfast on the day of departure and it was also prepared for me. It was a very good value for money and I will definitely consider staying here again.

It was not a problem for me but there is no lift in the hotel and there are quite a few narrow stairs which are a bit difficult when you have a big suitcase.

Lovely room and kept very clean by excellent staff; Excellent breakfast cooked to perfection, no buffet here. Staff very helpful and friendly and car parking worked well. The restaurant is exceptional with the chef clearly going for something special. Food in the evenings was fabulous. One evening we had just starters so we could sample the desserts - we were not disappointed.

Having to book restaurant when we were staying there but I do get why.

We had a wonderful weekend away at the Marazion hotel. It was a quiet weekend in December so Karen kindly upgraded us to her favourite and best room in the hotel. The room was stunning, great views of St Michael’s mount, really comfortable bed and lovely hot shower after a blustery day out. The lounge is beautifully decorated and so cosy, the perfect place to sink into one of the comfortable chairs with a book or G&T by the fire. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast every morning and had a fabulously tasty meal in the Cutty Sark Restaurant; the steak pie is to die for! Highly recommend the Marazion Hotel, we’ll definitely be back!

I chose the Marazion Hotel because of the excellent reviews and was not disappointed. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. The staff were without exception super friendly and helpful. We felt genuinely cared about and cared for. The bar has a great pub feel and is popular with locals which is a good sign. The sheltered beer garden was a great place to make the most of the Spring sunshine out of the wind. We had dinner in the restaurant - generous portions of fine local produce - but it was the breakfasts that made our stay. Excellent!!

Location was superb. Food was very good. Breakfast staff were brilliant to my wife who was a bit poorly during our stay. Bay window seats in guest lounge very nice.

Room was a bit smaller than we’d ideally have liked. Breakfast staff and waiters/waitresses were great. Duty Manager less so when we asked if our guests who were eating with us in the hotel restaurant could use the hotel car park for the duration of the meal. (It was half empty as it was off peak season). Also I took the time to write an email to the hotel ahead of our stay introducing us and asking for tips advice which appeared to have been overlooked - no reply.

Location was convenient. Breakfast was very good. Like that it was table service and staff were excellent. Room was very comfortable and bathroom was excellent. Liked tea and coffee making facilities and fresh milk.

Paid quite a lot more for a sea view room which was really a partial sea view. The exterior of the property didn't look appealing but inside was very good. Quite expensive for bed and breakfast, even though breakfast was excellent.
