Highly recommend this resort! Bungalows are very spacious, clean, with good air conditioning and a big balcony. Little touches that make big difference - clean beach towels every day; beach bag/basket; bottled water, tea, coffee, fresh flowers in the room; bikes to go around and explore the area; motor bikes can be rented out. Staff is very nice & friendly. Vee helped us with any queries and organised 4 excellent tours. Food is delicious! Tourists from resorts nearby came here for dinner. My favourite was a fruit plate served every morning for breakfast. Beach is only a few steps away from the pool. Plenty of sun beds at the beach and by the pool. Most of the days, there were only a handful of people in the sea and at the beach, which is miles long. Resort itself is big enough, with abundance of exotic trees, plants, flowers, and some wildlife. There is a big library there as well - read 2 books from it. Exceptional place and great value for money! Complements to Vee and the crew!

The manager and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. We had some great advice for some day trips, which they helped book for us while also making scooters easily available for us to explore the beautiful countryside at our own pace. Oh, and not to forget that the beautiful beach is a stones throw away from the apartment. I could go on with many more positives but this would be an essay. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a nicely slow paced stay with options to explore.

Very nice and clean bungalows and friendly staff. The location is off the main touristic path but still a few local restaurants, massage and mini market in the area. Amazing beach with its own sun beds just a few meters away. The pool and the restaurant are both also very nice. Overall we had an amazing stay and will definitely come back.

Breakfast is a la carte and very good but the selection could be a bit bigger. Distance from the bungalows to the restaurant/pool area and the beach is a bit of a walk (a few hundred meters) but bicycle are provided by the hotel.

Beautiful setting. The villa was modern and spotless with a lovely finishing touch of some fresh flowers. Our villa was by the lake. All staff so helpful and Min spoke excellent English. Meal was nice and breakfast brought to you after ordering and so much fruit as a side. Toast etc there too. Beach just across a small road. You can use the free bikes and we biked pass the handful of restaurants and hotels down a dirt track so you can lock your bike up and go across to Bang Naing Beach. Lovely resort not lots about but that’s what we like a tuk tuk cost 300 baht when we visited the markets in town.

loved the laid back vibe, the staff were attentive, smiley and couldn’t do enough. Vee went above and beyond and she really is the face of this little gem. it’s a lovely little retreat - it’s not a 5* beach resort, much more personal and we loved it. Breakfast was perfect and we loved the beach - enough sun beds - 40m over the little road and it’s so peaceful - nothing like being a sardine on a European beach.

Be careful - we arrived late and tired and were a little dismissive - we were so wrong,this little resort has a heart and was just perfect for us.

I honestly never take the time to write reviews on Booking.com because hotels are a typically standard experience. The Blue Lagoon honestly felt different in almost every respect. It is a family run hotel with excellent facilities, caring staff, and an incredibly picturesque setting. We stayed in Karon Beach and in another Khao Lak hotel - both 4-5 star hotels - but we sincerely wished that we had stayed here the entire time. Breakfast is great, pool is excellent, and the beach is literally 10 metres from the hotel.

Not a criticism, really. The hotel is a tad isolated, hence the wonderful tranquility. We cycled with the free bikes up to the town for access to restaurants and got caught in a rainstorm. My fault! The owner of the hotel told us that it's possible to rent a scooter for about 50 baht per day, which now sounds like exactly what we should have done.

Wonderful staff! Great, clean, quiet, spacious rooms with separate living and bed rooms. Beach towels provided. A nice Beach right across the street. Good restaurant on site open all day with a generous and delicious breakfast included and good drinks available. Nice swimming pool and lounging areas. Beautiful garden grounds and design. A really quiet and peaceful location! We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely book again.

The only thing missing would be an air conditioned place to dine and eat when it’s crazy hot, but most places in the area at this price point don’t have A/C eating areas anyway.

Very quiet area, great for relaxing and for families. The property owner lends you bike to go around and you can rent a motorcycle if you want to explore more the area. Staff is super friendly and there are reserved sun beds by the sea. Swimming pool is really nice. Good western and asian breakfast. The balcony is really amazing to relax.

You need to be comfortable with a bit of nature around you, you’ll see little lizards, hear frogs and hear birds. I recommend insect repellent for the evening. There are only a few restaurants and one massage parlour so not a lot going on, though it is great for relaxing.

Location was great for us as it was away from Khaolak town and the rows of large resorts. There are a few restaurants and a small shop around the corner and the beach just across the road. The road is really quiet as it only goes to one resort then it’s a dead end. So the beach is super quiet. If you want night life and crowds this is not the place for you. Staff were lovely and manager Vee was super helpful. Rooms were clean, private and quiet.

Just a couple of minor things - the basin in our bathroom was cracked and the tv didn’t work. Sadly a bit of rubbish on the beach but I think you get this everywhere. It’s a shame they don’t clean it up a bit. It only took us a few minutes to pick it all up for about a 10 meter stretch.

A quiet relaxed, clean heaven in KhaoLak. The Villas are Well equipped, big beds, spacious shower, seperate living room and a terrasse with a Paradies Lagoon View. Outstanding service of the reception Lady, who helped us with a ear doctor and so much more. Breakfast and other melas in the Restaurant where delicious. The team creates on wach table and cubboard wonderful flower decoration - which is wich such love for details- so is the well treated garden full of orchidees and other paradise flowers.

Nothing, but If you look for a party place, you are wrong.
