Our stay at Maison du Comte was fantastic! First off, the location is excellent—on a safe and quiet street in Roma, just a short walk to the livelier areas of both Roma and Condesa, with their numerous bars, boutique stores, coffee shops, and restaurants. Parque México, located close by, is great for a quick morning jog as well. The house itself dates back to the early 1900s, full of character and art, and is very well maintained. There is a lovely terrace garden on the roof where you can enjoy a siesta or a pre-dinner cocktail. Our room was on the ground floor next to the small garden, part of an extension to the main house. While it didn’t quite match the charm of the rooms in the main house (which we hope to stay in during a future visit), it was very spacious and had all the amenities we needed. The bathroom was also a good size, with hot water available 24/7. Warm blankets and a radiator helped make the room cozy for the chilly December nights. What truly made our stay special was the staff—everyone was warm, friendly, and happy to help with anything we needed at any time. Breakfasts were generous and customized to our preferences. The team gave us excellent restaurant recommendations, arranged airport transfers, and could also organize tour guides (e.g., to Teotihuacan) if needed. The neighborhood guides provided on arrival via WhatsApp were also very useful. Most of all, we will miss our morning coffees with the super-friendly house dogs, Caramelo and Mollie! We look forward to staying here again on our next trip to Mexico City.

Breakfast was delicious and staff graciously prepared what you wanted within reason. I loved the offering of tropical fruits. The location is incredible -- it's wonderful to be back in Roma. I would absolutely go back in a heartbeat. The rooftop is lush, abundant, and beautiful as are the well appointed rooms with wonderful and rather minimalist art. Overall, the hotel is gorgeous and clearly has a spirit.

Making sure that payment went through was not as streamlined as I had hoped and finding the hotel was slightly difficult --I had to schlep my luggage across the street a couple times until I found the place.

Thank you Maison du Comte for your incredible hospitality and kindness. We stayed for nearly 2 weeks and absolutely loved our time there. Firstly, the location is unbeatable. The guesthouse is centrally located in Roma Norte, just a short walk from fantastic coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants, and bars in Roma Norte, Condesa, and Juarez. The home itself is a beautiful period building that has been lovingly restored. We enjoyed our spacious bedroom suite and the decor throughout the home. We particularly enjoyed the art that has been thoughtfully placed throughout the home. Though, without a doubt, the highlight of our stay was the warm and generous hospitality of the hotel staff. We looked forward to a delicious breakfast each morning, lovingly prepared by Elena. The hotel manager, Guillermo, was an amazing source of knowledge and support. He helped us figure out our sightseeing plans each morning and gave invaluable local recommendations. Our every request was met with positivity, and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you again to Guillermo, Elena, Guy, Enrique, and Fernando. Your friendly smiles and amazing attitudes were delightful. We hope we’re lucky enough to return to the beautiful Maison du Comte again in the future.

This place is really extraordinary. The house is beautiful and perfectly located near a lot of great cafes, bars and restaurants as well as not far from museums and the centre of town. Elena’s breakfasts are delicious (we loved the chilaquiles and huevos Mexicanos!), and Guillermo is extremely helpful, with lots of great recommendations and also practical help. Mexico City can be overwhelming; Guillermo’s suggestions helped us get the most out of our stay. Guy, the owner, is also very welcoming and courteous to a fault. Thanks to the whole team!

This renovated grand mansion-turned B&B was a delight to stay in. The location of the building is close to all the best restaurants and entertainment Roma Norte has to offer, and in a safe neighborhood. Our rooms were beautiful, spacious and comfortable, and the shared spaces are filled with artwork, elegant furnishings and flowers. There is also a spectacular roof deck with shade and plush furniture, should you wish to enjoy a drink with a view in the afternoon. Each morning, Chef Elena would prepare delicoius made-to-order breakfasts with fresh fruits, warm croissants, coffee (or cappuccino and espresso), yoghurt with granola, eggs any style (even chilaquiles!). Once, we had to leave at 7am to head out to Teotihuacan and she woke up early to make sure we had something to eat. We ate around a large dining room table with the other guests, which was wonderful for conversation and sharing of our experiences. The absolute best thing about the hotel (and maybe the trip) though, were our hosts, Guy (the owner), and Guillermo (the manager). They are both well traveled and worldly (Guillermo speaks seven languages fluently). Even before we arrived, Guillermo was checking in on us and sent lots of pdfs on his recommendations on where to visit and dine. He met us at the front and carried our bags in. Guy joined us each day and shared his experience with renovating the property - it really was a labor of love. There are even two furry hosts - Caramello and Molly, who made sure to greet us each time we returned to the hotel. All in all, it was a wonderful stay and we would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone coming to Mexico City.

If you want an elegant accommodation in a beautifully restored home, this is an ideal choice. My room was very spacious with a huge walk-in dressing room and a large, private bathroom. There are windows, skylights and the decor is very chic with beautiful and eclectic artwork throughout. There is a lovely roof garden which is private and suited for repose. The owner, Guy, was there every day and was gracious and attentive to a visitor's needs. Guillermo, the assistant-manager was also lovely, helpful and very knowledgeable regarding navigating the complexities of Mexico City's sights, eateries and activities. Elaina, the cook, was wonderful and provided a delicious breakfast including a specially requested black mole dish. I chose this B&B after reading another excellent review which mentioned the superb croissants for breakfast and they more than met my expectations! The location in Roma Norte was great and walking distance to several destination restaurants, art galleries and a fine Jazz club (Jazzatlan) for anyone interested in good music. The street, Tabasco, is quiet and safety was not a concern. As a tourist, I used Ubers to go everywhere in the city and was delighted to return to this charming and comfortable home after a long day of sightseeing. Finally, there are 2 very lovely and friendly dogs, Caramelo and Molly, who are part of the household, well-behaved and interact as allowed by the guest. If you are looking for a "hotel" experience with room-service and a work-out room, this is not for you. If you want a beautiful B&B experience in a "hip" neighborhood, this is the place! I will definitely return with friends for the next trip.

A previous reviewer was critical about the hot water and soap. I can attest that the bathroom amenities were adequately provided and although it took a few minutes for the hot water to circulate, it was hot enough with appropriate water pressure for all functions. I had no issues with either water or soap!

What a fantastic property! It’s an old mansion converted into a hotel and just oozes charm from every corner. The location is perfect, as is the physical structure - feels like coming back to your Maison after a long day out. The service quality was top notch, we got personally attended to the entire stay. Right from sending us options to explore the area to ensuring our suitcases were in the car when we departed for the airport. Guillermo Garcia was an exceptional host; you won’t get this service anywhere else

Not much to say here

The breakfast was a croissant, fruit plate, yogurt, granola, hot chocolate, and eggs. It was perfect for our stay. We requested a fan and one was brought that actually worked like an air conditioner since they put ice in a tray at the bottom to help cool. The bed was comfortable & the room spacious. Guillermo was so attentive to everything about our stay as well as the other staff. We enjoyed conversing with the owner Guy as well.

I would have liked fluffier pillows, but that is just person preference.

My mom and I stayed at Maison du Comte for 5 nights and had the most wonderful time. The location is superb, our room was spacious and well-appointed (robes, slippers, electric tea kettle, filtered water, fresh flowers), arrival/departure were smooth, and roof terrace was a great amenity. Most exceptional was the hospitality. Guy, Elena & team took such great care of us throughout our stay. Guy went above and beyond with excellent local recommendations and was kind enough to book us a driver on short notice to/from the Paul McCartney concert. Elena prepared a delicious daily breakfast and even had coffee in a thermos prepared for us on a morning where we set out very early! Many thanks to the entire staff who made our stay so special.

The property was beautiful, clean, safe and private. Wonderful hospitality!! Guillermo was the most amazing host we’ve ever had! He was super friendly, resourceful and very knowledgeable about the area and what to do for first timers in Mexico City! The staff was very nice and breakfast was so delicious. It was a home made breakfast with fruit and croissants. We would definitely stay here again! The tips and advice Guillermo provided us for our stay made this trip an amazing one!

Nothing everything was wonderful!
