I give it a good rating because although due to some easy to fix shortcomings, this property is the only affordable one in the A-B-C islands with a price that is in line with what is offered. The photos of the apartment are obviously of better days, it looks like the minimum is done to maintain the quality of the apartment. There are places where you can see there was a lamp or a nice painting, but there is none no more. Lighting is minimal, and some lamps do not have bulbs. There is no light by the dining table. Luckily there is an extension cord I could pull from the kitchen to move the big lamp there. The wifi works really well, there is a seperate modem in each apartment. Password is written in the apartment. The A/C unit is only in the bedroom but was on when I arrived (it's hot in aruba summer) and there is a large fan to move the cold air around. Very comfortable. There is a large bed combined from two smaller beds with a thinner top mattrass. After a day or so the beds seperate and there will be a well to sleep in LOL The couch has a huge dent in the middle. I guess to comfortably slide into? There's a porch on the front with some furniture. The place is very tranquilo. I guess could walk to town but it's better if you have a car. Free parking up front. The kitchen has a good working gas stove, some pots and pans, coffee maker, and many many rags and towels to clean with. There is even a coffee maker with filters. There is a toasteroven big enough for pizza, fridge with freezer. The utensils are old and dull but semi-functional. The shower is warm, a bit dated, and doesn't drain well so use lower water pressure. Once during my stay someone came to bring fresh towels/bedsheets and take care of the trash. I visited Bonaire and Curacao as well and tbh I enjoyed Pega Pega the best as the prices aren't absurdly inflated with low quality. It's the place for you if you can look past some shortcomings.

Host does not respond to messages in any kind of way, ever. Not through booking or whatsapp. Upon check-in, the keys are hidden in a location near the apartment. I found out because the neighbors told me. Easy solution is that the host just tells you where you can find the keys, day before arrival. There were several stressed out people lingering around the place a couple of times who had the same issue.

Well located. Everything was clean and organized as we arrived. Well equipped kitchen with microwave, coffee machine and a small stove. Pots, plates, cutlery and a small thermal box also available. Good shower with hot water.

An additional window would be great, it's a little stuffy inside, when you arrive inn the end of the day. However, the air conditioner works great.

This place was definitely worth the cost. It was not the nicest place ever, but they did a good job decorating the apartment. It was very clean and had all your basic needs. The housekeeper, Shelley, was very sweet and considerate and did everything she could to make our stay comfortable.

The host wasn’t very quick to respond, so at first it was confusing to figure out where the keys were. We found the housekeeper and she was super helpful and was able to check us in. There was no AC in the living room so it got very hot.

I liked everything- big , spaceous apartment with all necessities, comfortable bed, lots of towels, very clean. Little kitchen that has everything for cooking your own meals. Air con in the bedroom, and fan in the sitting room . Perfection. This was budget accomodations and it exceeded my expectations. This is our 2 nd stay at Pega Pega and we will definitely come back. Thank you Pega Pega for the warm welcome

nothing, wish I could stay longer

Bargain price. Good location 3 blocks from the beach and Beth Israel Synagogue. Good AC. The housekeeper was the best!

The management put us in a studio apartment. I paid for a full one bedroom apartment. There were two empty one bedroom apartments. They would not allow us to move until the next day. This was inconvenient and unnecessary. I verified my one bedroom apartment a few days before arrival.

This place had exceeded our expectations. Yes, it's simple, but it's very spacious, really clean and has all the necessities for budget-conscious travellers. The staff is very friendly and responsive. The location is great too, if you have a car or don't mind a short walk to the downtown core. The beach with a couple bars is just down the road. It's a hidden gem, despite a few negative reviews. It's a great value if you don't mind slightly outdated interior and a lack of luxury finishes. If those things really matter to you, there are a lot of fancy resorts with a much heftier pricetag.

I can't think of anything to complain about.

If you are looking for an affordable appartement in Aruba, Pega Pega is a great choice. It is simple and not modern or fancy but clean and spacious. We stayed for 3 weeks and had an appartement with a living room area (which we would recommend, what we saw of the studio apparments they were much smaller). There is refular cleaning, good airconditioning, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need to prepare food. The locations is very convenient since you're close to the airport and in "the middle" of the island's coast side. You can easily drive to all beaches north or south from here. Overall, absolutely recommended!

The only small point of improvement is the checkin process. The appartements do not have a reception so make sure you agree on the process upfront.

The place was very silent (except for the early morning gym classes of the next door school one day), it had air conditioning and a fan that made the stay more comfortable.

When we arrived, the shower was clogged and it flooded, we had to buy a product and applied for it to be OK, they send a maid to help clean the next day, though. The kitchen was very well equipped, but everything was old and some of the machines were not in their best shape. There were not a lot of dishes and cutlery in our opinion, but it suited us.

Nice place, minimum requirements accomplished.

Old, in need of refurbishment. Need more interior lights/lamps. Shower in need of substitution, with low drainage. Staff available but some communication was a bit hard.. overall not a bad stay but could upgrade the space and communication and charge a bit more. We rented a scooter and managed to keep it secured at night in the condo across the street (apparently from the same owners). If not with a scooter or car, not so easy to reach the flat and make it your vacations center spot. Will be back if you guys make some remodeling to the flat and decor.

Breakfast was not included

In the beginning there was a smell in the bathroom. The day the cleaning lady came by the smell disappeared for good. That didn't spoil our stay. We had a nice stay. Will be coming back soon.
